  • Thanks to his good Attack and status as a healer, Summer Rhys can take advantage of the Wrathful Dazzling combination healers enjoy in order to become a potent attacker while retaining his supportive abilities. His choice of weapon largely depends on what the team needs, as Staff users also have a wide variety of fantastic weapon choices, such as Melancholy, Gravity, and Pain. Also note that what weapon refine Rhys uses is largely dependent on whether you have the Wrathful Staff or Dazzling Staff B slot skill, as the Wrathful Dazzling combination is achieved regardless of whether they have the Wrathful Staff B slot skill and Dazzling Staff refine, or the Dazzling Staff B slot skill and a Wrathful Staff refine.
  • For Rhys’s assist, Restore is a standout choice as it allows him to heal a good amount of HP as well as remove any Debuffs from the healed ally, making it very useful against debuffs in general. It’s less effective against debuffs that refresh themselves every turn such as Sabotages or Aversa’s Night, however. Physic can also be a useful choice to give Rhys’s healing extra range, allowing him to stay out of danger while healing allies.
  • While Rhys’s Speed can potentially be saved with enough investment, it’s often better to invest in his Resistance and Attack. As such, Atk/Res Solo and Atk/Res Push are great choices for him as they increase his best stats.
  • Drive Attack allows Rhys to further support his allies and himself with a +4 Attack buff in combat. As an infantry healer, Rhys can also take advantage of Time’s Pulse to have an instantly charged Buffing Balm, allowing him to continuously buff his allies every time he heals them. 
  • Finally, Live To Serve gives Rhys some additional sustain should he be forced to tank a hit, while Atk +3 grants him a simple stat buff.

  • Rhys can also utilize the Kumade alongside other Chill Skills to become a potent support debuffer who can weaken foes significantly from a distance for his allies.
  • Fort Def/Res 3 is a superior A slot skill for this build’s more passive playstyle, but Atk/Res Bond 3 is an alternative option on a budget. For Rhys’s B slot and sacred seal, he’ll want two different Chill skills, such as Chill Atk/Spd 2, Chill Spd, and Chill Atk to hit as many opponents as possible with debuffs, although in some cases all Chills hitting a single foe is unavoidable.
  • Finally, Time’s Pulse once again makes an excellent combination with a buffing Balm for further passive support, but Miracle and an alternative C slot skill can be used instead if desired.

Strengths

Healer

As a healer, Rhys enjoys access to the powerful Wrathful Dazzling combination, in addition to having a plethora of excellent weapons at his disposal, such as his innate Palm Staff, Kumade, Pain, and Witchy Wand.

Great Attack and Resistance

Rhys’s Attack and Resistance are solid for a healer, at base 34 and 36 respectively, leaving him with little issues dealing out or taking magical damage.

Weaknesses

Overshadowed

Like many healers without an exclusive weapon, Rhys is handily outperformed by healers with superior statlines and exclusive weapons such as Brave Camilla and Loki.
 

Lacking Speed and Defense

Rhys’s mediocre base Speed of 27 leaves much to be desired, and he will need significant investment in his Speed in order to perform follow-up attacks consistently. In addition, Rhys’s poor base 21 Defense means he’s heavily susceptible to physical damage.
