Introduction

Azama

Azama
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
1 4 9 6 5

Recommended IVs:
+Defense / -Attack (Support)
+Speed / -Attack (Support)

Arguably one of the best physical soakers in his class with his great HP and physical defense stat, pair that up with him bearing the lowest attack stat in the game and it is clear that he is nothing but an immovable object.

His damage is both the worse and the best trait about him: It may be the lowest of its stat in the game, but Azama's classification as a staff wielder makes it a completely useless stat, and the points that could have went into attack were instead spread out more efficiently.

His speed isn't too great, but a +Speed IV allows him to avoid some doubles.

As for physical bulk, Azama's base 32 defense lets him get away with a lot. He can easily take both hits from Ryoma, not to mention the slow but powerful Hector and Effie. He even neuters the one weakness that the high speed healers have: Brave Weapons. (Since they do doubles, and Azama does not care for doubles. Right?)

Magical bulk may not be his strongest forte, but he carries a decent amount. While nothing compared to the little sisters, it isn't as terrible as Lucina's, Ryoma's or Ike's.

Writer's thoughts: "This man does not move. It's pretty cool. His high availability also makes it a breeze to pick up a good IV!" 10/10 I like him

Bridal Lyn

Brydal Lyn
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
6 9 6 5 6.25

Recommended IVs:
+Speed / -Attack (Support)
+Defense / -Attack (Support)
+Resistance / -Attack (Support)
+Speed / -Resistance (Attacker)
+Defense / -Resistance (Attacker)

Lyn is very likely the best healer in the game. With one of the highest speed stat of all healers, respectable defense, a decent amount of HP and not-terrible attack, Lyn can take almost any punishment and possibly deal it back with the use of Wrathful Staff.

Her attack stat stands at a very "whatever" 28. However, her sheer speed allows her to double enemy units without effort, and her bulk lets her take a hit from counterattacks, making her a great user of Wrathful Staff.

Her physical bulk is quite fantastic, and could be treated the same as Maria, yet better at taking single hits.

Her resistance is the only downside, being quite low when compared to other healers. However, she can still somewhat survive most mages thanks to her speed.

Writer's thoughts: "I hate her because she's better than Maria. Arguably one of, if not the best healer out there right now. Ugh."

Clarine

Clarine
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
2 8 6 6 5.75

Recommended IVs:
+Speed / -Attack (Support)
+Defense / -Attack (Support)
+Speed / -HP (Cavalry Buffed)
+Defense / -Attack (Cavalry Buffed)

A staff user on a horse, Clarine trades most of her attack for a better survival rate. Similar to Lyn yet not, it is tough to kill one on the battlefield once she is affected by Fortify Cavalry.

While a bit on the low attack side, Clarine could indeed utilize Wrathful Staff. Her bulk allows her to deal a double without dying just like Lyn, and her overall performance is greatly increased in Horse teams.

Overall bulk is great, though slightly worse than Lyn due to having 1 less speed. Clarine's main strengths is her horse, greatest bulk amongst cavalry healers, and the ability to be slapped with Movement-type buffs.

Writer's thoughts: "The best cavalry healer (in my opinion). She's speedy and can survive lots of stuff, woo hoo!"

Elise

Elise
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
8 7 1 4 5

Recommended IVs:
+Attack / -Defense, -Resistance (Attacker, General Usage)
+Attack / -HP (Burst Damage, Cavalry Buffed)
+Speed / -Defense, -Resistance (Attacker, General Usage)
+Speed / -HP (Follow-up Damage, Cavalry Buffed)
+Defense / -Attack (Physical Bulk, Support)
+Defense / -Resistance (Physical Bulk)

A highly prized unit in the game, Elise is usually seen as "one of the best healers in the game" due to her great offensive spread, horse, inherent Live to Serve 3, and 5 star exclusivity. In fact, Elise is simply "Okay".

While sporting a 32/32 offense, Elise can be expected to deal great amounts of damage with Wrathful Staff while being used as a pocket healer. Unfortunately, any physical unit wielding Distant Counter will very likely kill her, denying the follow-up. This is one of the main reasons she is not quite the best: She sports the worst physical bulk of all healers.

She can however face non-overbuffed mages due to staying true to the "healer's statline", and her speed spread becomes worthwile when affected by any defensive Cavalry buff, making her one of, if not the only healer that can face the enemy and kill them from 100 to 0.

Overall, Elise is an extremely frail healer that can face mages due to her speed, resistance, and attack.

Writer's thoughts: "Overrated. >:( she's ok, but not amazing."

Genny

Genny
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
8 3 1 6 4.5

Recommended IVs:
+Attack / -Defense, -Resistance, -Speed (Attacker)
+Resistance / -Defense, -Speed (Mage Duelist)

A very important skill fodder for healers, Wrathful Staff is an extremely frail unit similar to Elise, though with extremely high attack and resistance, and extremely low speed.

Her offensive spread says one thing: Massive damage, no kills. Her massive attack stat gives her a much better threshold for finishing off enemies, though her speed means it is impossible to follow-up and kill.

Her physical bulk is absolutely terrible and she should never be in range of any melee unit. On the other hand, her magical resistance is quite high, giving her some sort of an advantage against mages. Be warned however, that her speed and HP will very likely get her killed by fast mages such as Linde, Delthea or Nino.

Overall, one should utilize Genny for last hitting and healing due to the big risk of falling to just about anything.

Writer's thoughts: "She works like Elise. Can deal damage, can take magic stuff, can't touch metal. Nice budget healer if you pull her."

Lachesis

Lachesis
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
7 3 4 5 4.75

Recommended IVs:
+Attack / -Defense, -Resistance (Attacker)
+Defense / -Resistance (Physical Bulk)
+HP / -Defense, -Resistance (Higher Fire Boost Threshold)

A healer in a very unfortunate position, Lachesis is a high-attack healer with middling speed similar to Genny, but with more physical bulk and O.K. resistance.

The stat in attack makes Lachesis a prime candidate for Wrathful Staff, being a value over 30. Her HP stat is among the highest of her class too, allowing her to run Fire Boost! With this skill, she can reach a maximum of 51 attack, allowing for serious burst damage.

Unfortunately, her speed is the cause of her downfall. She will be likely doubled by the enemy, negating her physical defense, and most mages will plow right through her 30 resistance and follow-up, making Lachesis an unfortunately squishy character.

In the end, Lachesis has a tough time living and necessitates Wrathful Staff and maybe Fire Boost, making her one of the worst healers around.

NOTE!: You might be wondering. "Fire Boost is absolutely useless on healers, Elegear.." Incorrect. The nature of healers' utilization means that you will always keep the alive and away from harm, and that they are used as a last ditch effort to finish off the enemy. What does this mean? It is very likely for Lachesis to be used to finish off any low-health enemy utilizing Vantage in fear of losing another unit.

Writer's thoughts: "Kinda saddening tbh, her only great stat is attack. She's like Genny, but worse-kinda, and can take a physical hit. At least she's voiced by Cristina Vee!"

Lissa

Lissa
Damage Speed P. Bulk M. Bulk Overall
3 3 5 5 4

Recommended IVs:
+Attack / -Resistance (Attacker)
+Speed / -Resistance, -Attack (Support)
+Defense / -Attack, -Resistance (Physical Bulk)
+Resistance / -Attack (Magical Bulk)

Similar to Lachesis, Lissa has a low speed stat that negates her bulk. The main difference however, is that she trades attack for defense, which can be a good thing or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

She has a base 25 attack, making her both a possible Wrathful Staff user and a horrible one. Her HP is at the same value as Lachesis, making her another candidate for Fire Boost. Considering all attack boosting properties are taken, Lissa can reach a maximum of 44 attack, which pales in comparison to Lachesis.

Her good point stems from her 28 defense and 39 HP, letting her take some punishment. But just like Lachesis, that is somewhat negated due to her equally bad speed. One possible way of aiding her survival is to use a +Defense IV and Close Defense. Otherwise, commonly seen units in the arena can plow through.

Her magical defense is, again, similar to Lachesis. Most mages will kill her on the follow-up.

Overall, Lissa is a healer that has poor endurance, is prone to many hits, and is a questionable user of Wrathful Staff. All of her traits lead to her being one of, if not the worst healer as of now. Other than "I really love this character, though!", if you are looking for performance, Azama is the better pick.

Writer's thoughts: "Lachesis but with more defense and less attack. I think she's the worst healer in the game. It saddens me."
