  • Fir’s powerful exclusive weapon lends itself well to an Enemy Phase build, as it increases the power of her Specials in addition to making them activate more quickly. In addition, Fir’s decent Resistance lets her serve as a solid mage check with Distant Counter. If Fir is being used in a gamemode where counterattacking ranged foes is not a concern, she can also opt for Warding Breath and Mirror Stance 3, to grant her increased Special Cooldown and the Guard Effect respectively, while increasing her Stats further. Mirror Stance 2 can also be used on a budget, although it’s not as potent.
  • A healing Special is preferred to maximize Fir’s sustain. Noontime can be used without Brave Lucina support, while Sol is ideal with it.
  • As an infantry unit, Fir has access to a wide variety of B slot skills, and although her best choices are Null Follow-up and Null C-disrupt to ensure her doubles and counter Firesweep/Dazzling Staff users respectively, she can also opt for Lull Atk/Spd to increase her combat prowess by debuffing the foe’s Attack and Speed and negating their buffs in these stats, or Close Call to reduce damage from slower opponents. However, Fir’s Speed tier is less consistent than that of infantry swords such as Fallen Ike, making this more of a secondary option to her. She can also use Special Spiral in conjunction with Aether for a significantly stronger healing Special that has the same Special Cooldown as Sol after she activates it once, although the first activation can be difficult without Infantry Pulse support.
  • For Fir’s C slot, Pulse Smoke is a standout option, as it allows her to delay the Enemy’s special activations. Otherwise, Fir’s C slot can be changed to suit the needs of the team.
  • Finally, Defensive Sacred Seals such as Swift Stance and Mirror Stance can be used to further bolster Fir’s performance on Enemy Phase.

Strengths

Infantry

Fir gains a plethora of benefits for being an Infantry unit, namely her lack of a weakness to many forms of Effective weaponry other movement types have to deal with, and access to a wide variety of skills other movement types are denied access to, such as Null Follow-up.

Nameless Blade

Fir’s Exclusive weapon, while not entirely unique to her, is a simple but powerful weapon that grants her the effects of a Slaying weapon and Wo Dao in one, giving her more powerful Special activations that activate more quickly, especially when combined with other Special cd increasing skills such as Special Spiral.

Weaknesses

Poor Attack

Fir’s base Attack of 25 is extremely lackluster, leaving her raw damage output relatively weak without Special activations. Although this is mitigated somewhat thanks to her exclusive weapon, Fir will struggle if she’s denied access to her Special due to Guard or other means.

Heavy Competition

In addition, Fir occupies the heavily contested infantry sword slot, and she fails to match up to some of the class type’s most powerful options such as Shannan, Larcei, and Fallen Ike, although Fir still performs reasonably well on her own merits.
