  • Lucina gets another extremely well balanced alt for Valentines, featuring an incredibly optimized stat spread with incredible Attack and Speed as well as good Defense, her worst stat being a still workable base 34 Resistance. In addition, she’s packing her Legendary form’s Future Vision on top of her exclusive Gerbera Axe, which grants a buff neutralizing the foe’s visible buffs in combat to both her and an ally she targets with her (most likely Future Vision) assist skill. It also gives her an extremely necessary spectrum +5 buff to her stats in addition to giving her 40% damage reduction against the foe’s first attack when a foe initiates combat or that foe’s HP is 75% or higher.
  • The A slot skill Lucina runs will largely depend on whether you wish to stack her Speed for her innate Savvy Fighter or stack her bulk further and utilize Crafty Fighter with Atk/Def Unity or Slick Fighter with Sturdy Stance 3 to give Lucina both the Guard Effect and some form of Debuff Resistance. Atk/Spd Unity is also a good alternative to Lucina’s innate Kestrel Stance 3 to use with Savvy Fighter if available thanks to the debuff resistance it provides.
  • Lucina’s Innate A/D Near Save is the basis of this set as it allows her to force the foe’s melee units to attack her instead of her allies, meaning she can easily deny the foe’s melee attacks against her allies by simply existing within 2 spaces of them.
  • Lucina’s sacred seal slot is best used to stack her bulk or Speed further, although Mystic Boost is also a good seal option thanks to it’s passive healing.

Strengths

Great Exclusive Skills

Valentine’s Lucina has access to her Legendary counterpart’s Future Vision, which is essentially a Swap that gives her an additional action after use once per turn. While she can’t take advantage of the additional turn as well as her Legendary counterpart due to her reduced movement without some form of assistance (Flier skills, anyone?) it’s still quite useful to have. Valentine Lucina’s more notable skill is her exclusive weapon, which gives her a hefty boost to her stats and damage reduction as long as the foe’s HP is 75% or higher or a foe initiates combat. Free damage reduction coupled with her innate tankiness make Valentine Lucina very difficult for physical foes to take down, making her a great option for a Near Save armor.

Armored

Being Armored gives Valentine’s Lucina access to the perfectly balanced Fighter skills in addition to the meta defining Save skills.

Weaknesses

Middling Resistance

Valentine Lucina’s only above average Resistance leaves her vulnerable to hard hitting magic users and dragons unless one chooses to invest in her Resistance further, even with her weapon’s innate damage reduction. Savvy Fighter’s additional damage reduction alleviates this greatly, however.
