Show Explanation/Analysis

Preferred IV: +DEF

  • This set aims to take advantage of Eldigan’s stats as a refresher for Aether Raids Defense by building him up to avoid isolation. As such, Eldigan appreciates an asset in Def to contest the most common user, Mila, who relies on a Def check to activate her isolation.

Weapon: Wagasa+ (+Def) / Courtly Candle+ (+Def)

  • Wagasa further supplements Eldigan’s ability to avoid isolation by inflicting Def -7 on the enemy with the highest Defense. This makes it even harder to inflict isolation beyond turn 1.
  • Courtly Candle can have an interesting application by making Eldigan incredibly tanky when combined with skills such as Deflect Melee or Deflect Magic by reducing the foe's first attack by 50% and any subsequent attacks by 80%.

Assist: Dance

Special: Escutcheon

  • Eldigan doesn’t really need a Special for this build but if there is one that might do something, Escutcheon can make Eldigan a bit harder to take out when he attacks by reducing the damage from the foe's second attack.

Passive A: Fort Def/Res 3 / Fort Def / HP/Def

  • Fort Def/Res 3 is the choice A skill for giving  Eldigan the highest possible boost to his visible Defense. For a cheaper alternative, Fort Def can also be used for only a deficit of 1 compared to the aforementioned.
  • For a hybrid set that boosts both visible Def and HP, HP/Def 2 is the way to go.

Passive B: Wings of Mercy / Sudden Panic / Aerobatics

  • Wings of Mercy is a staple on refreshers by allowing them to instantly move adjacent to any ally with under 50% HP.
  • Sudden Panic also makes for a great choice with a build that prioritizes HP by inflicting Panic on foe’s that are adjacent to one-another.
  • Flier movement skills such as Aerobatics allow for more dynamic movement and range when using Dance.

Passive C: Ground Orders / Guidance / Flexible

  • Ground Orders is a premium in flier support by increasing the movement options of infantry, cavalry, and armor allies.
  • The C slot can otherwise be replaced as needed to suit the team.

Sacred Seal: Fort Def / HP/Def / Movement Skills / Deflect skills

  • Fort Def or HP/Def 2 are choice seals for further boosting Eldigan’s stat comparison checks.
  • If not already being run in the B and C slots, movement skills make for good seal slot options as well.

Show Explanation/Analysis

Preferred IV: +ATK

  • Eldigan’s superasset in Attack makes for the choice IV to take in order to deal as much damage and use Heavy Blade as effectively as possible.

Weapon: It's Curtains...+ (+Atk)

  • A weapon that allows for a unique way to use Galeforce by instantly reducing your initial Special cooldown by 2.

Assist: Dance

Special: Galeforce

Passive A: Heavy Blade

  • With Galeforce being lowered to an initial cooldown of 2, all Eldigan needs is to land a hit with Heavy Blade in order to activate his Special.

Passive B: Wings of Mercy

  • Wings of Mercy is a great skill for moving around the map, as it allows a unit to move adjacent to any teammate when under 50% HP. This is especially useful when running Eldigan alongside other Galeforce units in order to out as many opponents in a single turn as possible.
  • Skills such as Flier Formation on a class-based team or Acrobatics on a mixed team open up additional movement options for Eldigan.

Passive C: Joint Drive Atk / Atk/Spd Rein / Flexible

  • Joint Drive Atk makes for a great choice of C slot when chaining Galeforce by granting Eldigan as well as any nearby allies +4 Attack.
  • The Spd part of Atk/Spd Rein may not be useful but the Atk part helps with the activation of Heavy Blade. (to be replaced with Atk/Def Rein as soon as it exists).

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse / Death Blow

  • Without any other external support (Velouria, Rafiel), Quickened Pulse is essential in lowering the initial charge of Galeforce so that it can be activated in a single hit.
    • With the aforementioned support, one is more free to run something that further boosts damage such as Death Blow.

Strengths

Great Defense (and solid HP)

The value of Eldigan having high Defense comes from the fact that he is a dancer and can be built to contest being isolated by Mila in Aether Raids.

Flying

In addition to his superior mobility, Eldigan has access to class-exclusive skills such as Impacts, Reins, and a variety of movement options.

Weaknesses

Poor Speed and Resistance

Eldigan’s less than stellar values in Speed and Resistance make him susceptible to taking significant damage from magic foes.

Vulnerable to Effective Damage

Due to his status as a flier, Eldigan will take greatly increased damage from units with effective damage against him such as archers.
