Hero Build Overview/Explanation
Before I get into my explanation, I strongly recommend having a +1 Chrom at a minimum, his stat total is honestly too low to afford the loss anywhere from a flaw. And all stats are shown as he would be +1 with a speed asset and for reference his base stats at full investment (including summoner support) are as follows
Hp: 62 Atl:62 SPD:38 def:40 res:26
Chrom’s attack and HP are staggeringly high for a 3* unit, and has arguably the best stat setup for any of the falchion users (and while exalted Chrom has better stats, he doesn’t get normal falchion) And falchion’s refine is a bond skill, so would it not make sense to go all in on a bond build for him? After all his tag line is “our bonds give me strength” and once you try out a build like this, you’ll see why, but enough of that, let me explain why this build is great, and why this Chrom, is my main used character.
With all boosts enabled, Chrom receives an effective 16 to his attack and speed, and neither stat can be lowered, or an effective 45 speed/69 attack(74from oath) with no merge or flower investment, is Chrom absolutely maxed out? Well then he gets and effective 54 speed and 71(76from oath)attack.
As you can imagine, thats a lot. This Chrom setup is able to duel legendary units regularly, even the legendary hector, a blue unit, is often an even fight, or in Chroms favor. As he will also have great Defence, and (assuming he is at least +1 and got some flowers into him) have passable resistance.
I STRONGLY recommend putting spurn on Chrom as well, but the website didn’t have the skill available
You will also need a bond partner for Chrom, someone to stick to him like glue so he can rip through his enemies, I recommend someone with decently good defenses, and distant counter so they can defend themself if someone walks adjacent to Chrom to hit them, I personally use legendary Robin (F) and the new legendary corrin is also a great choice, as neither really have the means to get work done offensively, so they can support someone who can, I also recommend your partner having Def/Res or SPD/Res link, and you giving them swap to swap Chrom into position so he is in combat range, this will give him incredible durability (especially with spurn) and allow him to withstand damage from even blue mages on the regular
