Hero Build Overview/Explanation

!!! ATTENTION !!!
For some reason, I can't have D/R Near Save as the C skill; D/R Near Save was the intended C skill.
!!! ATTENTION !!!

This build is revolved entirely on enemy phase, where Dheginsea will protect his allies from any and all attacks (well, just close-ranged ones). Close Def 4 as the A skill and Close Def 3 as the seal already grants him a hefty +14 to his already monstrous Def/Res, heaving up to 55 Defense and 53 Resistance with neutral IVs alone.

The Special allows Deheginsea to unleash even more eye-watering damage, adding an extra 44 damage on top of his threatening 59 Attack with his PRF weapon, Blackfire Breath+, with a total of 103 Attack. Good luck tanking that!

Another Special that can be implemented can be surprisingly healing Specials such as Noontime, Sol, or Aether, as he does have HP guidelines to follow for his B skill, and also if his enemies pull out weapons or tomes that poke at his weaknesses--the fact that he is an armored and breath unit. Though, even then, that's assuming the foe will be able to scrape him in the first place.

Slick Fighter allows Deheginsea shine even more in the Enemy Phase areas, guaranteeing him a follow-up attack, though he needs to be wary of units who has Null Follow-Up in their kits (i.e. Byleth), however it won't be much of an issue as he does so much damage anyway.

And now--his C skill. Recently, special units were released for the Day of Devotion, or Valentine's Day in our world. One thing that completely changes Dheginsea's purpose is Gustav's C skill: D/R Near Save. Not only does it grant an extra Def/Res +4 (for a total of +18 Def/Res, referencing the Close Def explanation), it somewhat makes up his poor mobility with his ability to move in his allies' spaces and let him do the combat. It would be very difficult to defeat a unit with a bulk of 104 physical bulk and 102 magical bulk. Speaking of magical bulk...

For his most optimal build, -Spd +Res is the best way to go. Resistance is a superboon of Dheginsea, being an extra four points instead a usual extra three. Surprisingly enough, Speed is somehow a superboon or Dheginsea; while his Speed superboon won't be of any use whatsoever, it does give some reassurance that his Speed won't suffer a four point deduction (though his Speed is already far from salvaging, so it doesn't make much of a difference).

Also, his assist skill might be a bit out of the ordinary, not using Smite or Rally skills or Reposition--Pivot. It allows him to move in front of his more squishier allies, so his role as a tank can be used frequently. It's also because that the fact that he's an armored unit makes it difficult to catch up and maneuver with his allies, so Pivot somehow compensates for that.

Close Def and D/R Near Save can also be substituted with Distant Def and A/R Far Save if you want to make him into a unit that is more optimized for Aether Raids Defense, as there are many mages in that game mode. I personally think that your Defense results will all be successes because they couldn't kill him soon enough.
