[Enemy Phase Buster]
It has been a long time coming, but I have finally managed to help Ylgr stay cool on the battlefield by allowing her to take out her opponent on the enemy phase without breaking a sweat.
Weapon: Rearguard+ (+Spd)
Shoreline Rake+ is great dont get me wrong (maybe even better idk), but I find that the Rearguard+ inherent +7 Def on enemy phase is a lot easier to proc, and guarantees higher damage Bonfires. Alternatives include Faithful Axe+ which works really well on an Ylgr such as this one, which is centered around a defensive playstyle.
Assist: Reposition
Repo is repo
Special: Bonfire
Ylgr is a tough cookie for such a young lass, as she comes prepared with 30 Def and just begging to unleash the flames of hell upon her foe (while also nagging you about how hot it is in the meantime).
A Slot: Distant Counter
I am melee unit, operating in the:
○ Player Phase
● Enemy Phase
Therefore I must counterattack regardless of range. Fury 4 is also good and works on player phase.
B Slot: Repel 3
Ylgr is also quite fast (what did we do to deserve such an epic, free, fast, mixed bulk unit), and can make good use of this new skill, that only adds to her already incredible bulk and makes her deserving of the title of youngest Princess of Nifl.
*Also counters Ophelia kinda.
Lull skills are also very good on Ylgr, especially Lull Atk/Spd.
C Slot: Threaten Atk/Res 3 (Atk/Def 3 when it comes out)
This skill is just wow. Whilst it doesnt give Ylgr the full benefit that Threaten Atk/Def 3 would give, it certainly improves her matchup against mages and Res-based special users. This skill truly shines when used in conjunction with Inf. Hexblade, which just pushes Ylgr over the edge to the point where everything just basically dies. Notable alternatives include Def/Res Form 3 and Threaten Atk/Spd 3.
Sacred Seal: Swift Stance 2 / Flashing Blade 3
Now this just comes down to preference. I like the first one as it gives Ylgr some additional bulk, and more speed to help her meet the requirements of Repel. If you wish to let Ylgr unleash the flames of hell more often, then Flashing Blade is the seal for you.
