Hero Build Overview/Explanation
Trying to salvage her the best we can. The basic Florina build meant to tank mages and pretty much nothing else. Sometimes able to ensnare dragons not named Nagi. Florina without any kind of investment (at +0) is pretty much guaranteed to be dead weight for any kind of non-flier team. Hell, even on a flier team, you'll have plenty of better options (Cordelia, Est, Shanna, Catria...).
But when does she shine, you ask? The real answer is never, but if you're enough of a madman to invest heavily into her, you'll have a mage eating monster, killed only by the heaviest of green mages on battle. Reaching that point, of course, would require huge sacrifices better spent somewhere else, along with cursing INTSYS for not giving fliers any lull skills.
Now, let's go into the madman build:
A +10 +Res Florina should have 46/35/33/31/43 across the board(not counting bonuses from weapons). If you look at that statline and think "Damn, that's not too bad..." then slap yourself in the face because that includes summoner support. And no, if you want to go full Florina without summoner support, you might as well not do it at all.
Now, with a Berkut lance, that Res will skyrocket to 62 when a mage initiates on her, which pretty much makes you impossible to kill for red mages not named Lysithea. It will also make her Glacies drop a nice 49 extra damage, which should be enough to absolutely murder most squishy mages on one hit. Makes you wish for breath skills to be allowed on fliers, yeah? Now, some of you may consider dropping DC for another DD3 or even DD4, but if you do so, you'll be forfeiting the ability to delete mages on enemy phase, and you don't want Florina to do anything on Player Phase other than stand around and look cute.
I know I might have raised some eyebrows over that B skill, but that's mostly because, being fair, most B skills Florina has available aren't worth it. Quick Riposte was good to run once, but nowadays every single character can force the enemy to not double ever and considering fliers can't use any null skill... Def/Res link lets her at least attempt a support role whenever she's got a free turn to position herself. I've toyed with having a second flier with Atk/Spd Link, which has worked pretty well whenever you're facing enemies that don't have any sort of panic (IE: never).
C skill can really be Pulse, Panic or Atk and it won't make much of a difference, Florina will most likely not be the one to benefit the most from it. Any fliers buff could also be a good enough replacement since you should be running a flier teams with this, make sure to have 3 ward fliers to keep her tankiness going.
Overall: Don't use Florina. Even if she's your waifu, she will at best be a budget mage killer with minimal investment, with maximum investment, she'll be a mage deleter but not much else. If you think her refine might work for an armor buster...kind of, but you're hampering her magic murder abilities, and there are many, many, many other units that can be much more effective as armor killers. Awful unit 0/10, still best girl, though. Resplendant Florina when?
