Hero Build Overview/Explanation
Legendary Edelgard to me is a character who’s very powerful but was pretty underwhelming, in terms of the underrealized potential of her build, in the sense that it felt like she came rather incomplete compared to the trend of new characters in the game coming full packaged, w/ everything needed for the set up that the creators already know you’re imagining for the character. We see this with characters like Brave Dimitri, both versions of Lysithia(however her name is spelled), Larcei, thrasir, and so on.
I think it felt obvious that her build was desiring accelerate special trigger, innate distant counter, or most of all, some form of follow up attack guarantee to fully realize raging storms potential.
Being that follow up attacks are pretty much lost on her as far as the player phase is concerned, raging storm is almost nearly a useless skill as far as combat is concerned. Personally, I feel that you can get far more utility out of her if you drop raging storm. Vengeful fighter & special fighter make noontime far more effective, & quick riposte can be added in alongside special fighter for follow up attack purposes. This works amazingly well alongside Aymr in combination with her defensive stat line. If you give her vengeful fighter, you can drop the guard effect in exchange for something else, such as renewal, which I feel is incredibly well placed alongside this type of noontime build.
