Yesterday a trailer was unveiled showcasing further information regarding an expansion of the Lapis continent featured in the popular mobile RPG, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
Where the previous trailer established the basic setting and premise with 2D art assets, the new trailer includes details like gameplay, 3D environments, voice acting, and factions.
The 2D art and 3D cutscenes are gorgeous, as can be expected from Square Enix. And more importantly, this marks the continuation of the long-stagnant Final Fantasy Tactics series. Information about the revenue model and monetization is still pending, but the gameplay looks polished and up-to-date.
Release is set vaguely for sometime in 2019. Whether this refers to a JP-only release or simultaneous Global launch has yet to be announced.
