Full Armor [Thunderbolt Ver.] and Noble - Should You Pull?

Gundam Full Armor and Nobel Gundam

Pilots!

Today we've got another edition of Should You Pull, brought to you by AetherRose on our discord server at https://discord.gg/JTsv8gX. Check out my assessment of this week's banner below!

Thunderbolt is a series I really have to see. It’s been on my list for far too long but with the streaming service wars heating up, we’ve been getting delicious banger after delicious banger, from Bojack Horseman to the recent Witcher. Still, Gundam has a place in my heart that these new series just can’t compete with, so it’ll happen. Our other big name is Noble, Nobel, or Nobell Gundam depending on which Bamco employee is spelling it! For the purposes of this article, I’ll be referring to it by the in-game name, Noble.

Last week we got 1,870 Haro Chips, and here’s how:

  • 150 - Login Bonus
  • 350 - Daily Achievements
  • 150 - Event Login
  • 450 - Mission Completion
  • 170 - Arena Participation
  • 100 - Maintenance Apology
  • 500 - Multi Mission Login

Let’s set up some ground rules so you know exactly what to expect and how you should be treating this!

This is entirely my opinion, but I will do my best to justify my opinion and explain to you why I feel a certain way. If at all possible, I’ll use real numbers as well and present an objective outlook before my opinion.

Do not pull on the banner hoping for a single Part. It’s 0.2% for a single Part, which is 50x 10-pulls or 500 pulls. In terms of real money, that’s 5,400 USD.

SS is considered meta defining, S is meta, A is great, B is average, C is below average, D is considered well below average, and F is awful. Parts are compared to all other Parts as a whole and on how well they synergize with other Parts. This means a 4* and a 3* would be compared to everything as low as a 1* to as high as other 4*s.

There are some notations which aren’t immediately obvious:

An EX Skill with D/B at 21/6 CD means it has a D in Piercing, B in Power, a 21 second cooldown, and it’s available for use 6 seconds after the match starts.

All stats are at Max Value, but all EX Skills and Part Traits will be considered at Level 1 (One).

With all of that out of the way, let’s get right into the new banner and what we’re looking at this week!

This week is a normal banner, which means it will be going to Standard Gunpla Parts Capsule when the week is up.

Banner Grade: C+

Summary: This banner has a 0.8% (2.71%) chance of drawing something above average, and a 0% chance of drawing something of great value or higher.

Most of these Parts scream off meta and couldn’t possibly be in meta without a massive change to how we play the game. The few that don’t fit into this problem are good, but I need a lot more to recommend a banner.

I would skip.

Prime Pool percentages are in parenthesis

Gundam Full Armor [Thunderbolt Ver.]

Full Armor Gundam [Thunderbolt Ver.]

Head: C

With only 2,378 S.Atk and Head Vulcans, the Head is bringing up the rear.

Chest: B

Its above average stats of 1,601 Armor and 1,180 in both Defenses brings this up to a solid B ranking. In addition, it comes with an average Physical Shot EX Skill, which has D/B+ at 30/8s CD.

Arms: B

These Arms are very tanky with 1,601 Armor and 2,781 in both Defenses...if only that really meant something. It’s nice to have, but again what brings it up to B rank is its EX Skill, which again gives D/B+ at 30/8s CD.

Legs: C+

If only these Legs had better stats, and if only having more than 3 EX Skills mattered. Again, a Physical Shot EX Skill which gives D/B+ at 30/8s CD.

Backpack: A+

The Part I KNEW was coming. We get yet another ranged hissatsu, which packs a WALLOP. Providing the lucky puller with D/A, 120/30s, and raises Shot Attack for your Squad by 30%. It’s worth noting that most hissatsu activate their buff BEFORE dealing damage, meaning it probably also applies to the attack.

Aesthetics: S-

While all the Parts are very bulky, a great many of them have interesting attachments which would look good even on a skinny frame, making this one of the best mix-and-match Parts on the market, even if it’s overdesigned straight out of the box.

Noble Gundam

Nobel Gundam

Head: D

Another Head with Head Vulcans, this time with much lower stats.

Chest: A+

This bountiful bosom boasts Berserker beatdowns by buffing via Berserker Stance EX Skill, which gives 20% Speed, 30% M.Atk, and 10% M.Def for 20s with a CD of 90/18s.

Arms: A

Pow! Well above average M.Atk, giving 3,181, although it comes paired with only an average EX Skill. Burning Finger, yes, Burning Finger, gives D/B at 30/3s and reduces P.Res by 20%.

Legs: B

The stats are average again, so let’s burst right into the EX Skill, which is a terrible B+/D at 30/3s CD.

Beam Ribbon: A+

While Beam Ribbon’s EX Skill is useless, only offering a petty B+/D at 30/3s, its 4,004 M.Atk on a Beam Whip is fantastic. Beam gets plenty of Part Traits, and the Whip moveset is one of the best in the game, making this an excellent choice for more drawn out battles like Multi Missions.

Aesthetics: B

Alright, uh. Sorry. In advance, that is. I always hated how Noble Gundam looks. It’s just really on the nose, and it makes the entire design look stupid and clunky. I understand most G Gundam designs, like the Windmill, were designed to be funny, but there’s nothing really funny about “it’s RX78 but as a girl”.

AI Pilots Anavel Gato (4*) and Quatre Raberba Winner (3*)

AI Pilots Anavel Gato and Quatre Raberba Winner

Banner Grade: C

Honestly, this is just overall an underperforming banner, with two Pilots that just don’t know what they want to be. I’d skip.

Anavel Gato: C

I mean his last name is Cat, so S rank, we’re done here folks. Jokes aside, his Part Trait is a flat damage increase, so it’s bad. His stats give 1,180 Armor and M.Atk, which is pretty good, but he only has Ace Excel and Zeon for Word Tags. This guy...kinda feels like a mess. Dunno.

Quatre Raberba Winner: C

In spite of being a Support, his stats are pretty lackluster, giving mostly Defenses, at 889. His Part Trait reduces ALL damage by...1%...with Speed Attribute. Yeesh. Poor Quatre was done pretty dirty.

Nobel Gundam [Berserker Mode]

She's mad because nobody knows how to spell her name, least of all Bamco.
