 Team Recommendations: 

  •  2 Combat Echelons Lvl 70 4x linked. 

    • For the Command Post Capture, RF/HG is recommended to kill the Gundam in a timely manner, but endgame AR/SMG compositions are able to handle the fight as well.

  • 1 Dummy Echelon

  • Either: 1 HOC: BGM-71 OR a second Dummy Echelon

    • For players struggling to kill the Doppelsoldner, fielding BGM-71 is highly recommended.  

Clear Steps

Our second branching path in Chapter 2 is substantially more involved than the previous one. The Command Post Capture objective leads to a ‘Bad End’, but can be completed relatively quickly, provided Commanders can kill the Doppelsoldner efficiently. 

This map also serves as the first showing of the new Enemy Installation mechanic of CT, featuring both the Artillery and Anti-Air Turret. (In this particular map, the Anti-Air Turret is indestructible.)

Command Post Capture

Turn 1

1.1

Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post and the Heavy Heliport. Move the Command Post Echelon to the left one node, and wait. This prevents the Mortar from making combat more difficult than it needs to be. 

1.2

Move the Echelon down off the Heavy Heliport, and end your turn. 

Turn 2

2.1

Move your Combat Echelon down three nodes then left one node to engage the Gundam and take the Command Post.

Hostage Rescue

Turn 1

1.1

 Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post and the Heavy Heliport. Move the Command Post Echelon to the left one node. Deploy a Dummy Echelon on the Command Post. 

1.2

Move the Echelon down off the Heavy Heliport. Deploy a Dummy Echelon on the Command Post, and a second Dummy Echelon on the Heavy Heliport. 

Writers Note: The Anti-Air Tower cannot be destroyed, removing the only reason to field an HOC on this map, as the Doppels are painfully easy to avoid. Use a Dummy Echelon.

Turn 2

2.1

Swap the position of your Combat Echelon and 416. Move your Combat Echelon down one node, left one node, down another node, right, and down again, ending the move above the 9A-91 Hostage. You will have 2 AP remaining, end your turn anyways. 

Turn 3

3.1

Rescue the Hostage. At this time, you can either choose to fight the Gundam to the south (most endgame squads can punch through without damage) or end your turn. The example will wait one turn for the Gundam to move.

Turn 4

4.1

Follow the outer edge of the map north onto the Heavy Heliport and end your turn.
