Clear Steps

While the CE of the enemies on this map are certainly intimidating, the Nightmares aren’t supremely threatening and are functionally just a DPS check. They move slowly and are only able to attack in melee, so the biggest threat they present is in their high HP and sheer numbers.

Yes, that’s 95 Nightmares with 1804 HP each, for a total of over 170k combined HP. The average Level 90 Combat Echelon will struggle to deal half this much in 20 seconds.

With an Accuracy of 24, each individual attack stands little chance to hit, but the sheer volume of attacks can wear down your Echelons over time if they are not killed quickly enough and stack up in front of your tanks. SGs can tank this damage fairly easily, but MGs will need multiple reloads to deplete the enemy HP pools.

Tip: Due to their back-line targeting, all but the most stacked RFHG echelons do not perform well in this map since they prioritize the far enemies over the ones currently mauling your HGs.

High uptime ARs and ARs with high overall Damage overall can chew them up without too much hassle, and Grenadiers will help to clear the groups out along the way. If by some miracle EN has Micro Uzi’s mod by this point, she will perform very well here, otherwise Vector, Skorpion, and PP-19 are excellent offtank choices to help thin the crowd.

If you have the appropriate units trained, an M4A1 Mod Exodia can destroy Nightmares with ease in a pinch - for more information, check out the “How to Use: M4A1 Mod” article linked below.

Turn 1

1.1

Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post. Move down one node to kill the enemy present there, then Deploy a second Combat Echelon on the Command Post.

Turn 2

2.1

Move both of your Combat Echelons down one node, and spawn a Dummy Echelon on HQ.

Swap the Dummy Echelon all the way down to the bottom of the column as shown.

Turn 3

3.1

Move your Dummy Echelon left one node. It’ll end up next to an enemy unit, but the Dummy will not be attacked.

Turn 4+

Move the Dummy Echelon left one node to encircle the Supply Node and establish the Supply Line. Now you simply need to end turn a few times after the supply line is established to complete the mission.

Swap to repair and resupply your Combat Echelons as needed - it’ll be a long attrition battle against the endless enemy spawns. The enemies become considerably stronger as turns elapse: emergency repairs may be necessary.
