Equipment

Overview

T-5000 is a general purpose RoF RF akin to SVD, with whom she shares a four-star rarity. This makes comparison to SVD inevitable, which unfortunately does not often swing in T-5000’s favor.

T-5000 126 Damage is less than SVD’s 130, and her RoF rests at 36 as opposed to SVD’s 37. T-5000’s Skill is also worse than SVD’s as it lessens the potency of her RoF buff for a bit of Accuracy – an unnecessary trade, given RF’s inherently accurate nature and the diminishing returns on Accuracy buffs. The 15% RoF trade-off renders T-5000 unable to cap her RoF in conventional RFHG teams where SVD is able to, making SVD the more desirable choice. Since stats and Skill are all that matters for RF, and T-5000 loses against SVD in both, she is completely outclassed by her counterpart. Overall, though, T-5000 is a decent general purpose RoF RF that by all means can be employed if SVD or WA2000 are not available.

Strengths

Decent Skill

T-5000 Skill features a 50% RoF and Accuracy self-buff on a 6 second initial cooldown. While this is less than optimal because it trades potency of the ROF boost for a redundant Accuracy buff, it is still serviceable.

Weaknesses

Difficulty Reaching RoF Cap

T-5000’s base stats and Skill modifier are not enough for her to reach the 116 RoF cap in conventional RoF RFHG teams. This particularly hurts her considering she’s an RoF-centred RF.

Outclassed by SVD

Despite being the same rarity, T-5000 has slightly worse stats and a lower RoF modifier than SVD. This impacts T-5000’s DPS a little too much, leaving few reasons to use her over SVD.

Full Analysis

T-5000 faces a bit of a dilemma as a RoF RF because her Skill trades 15% RoF for 50% Accuracy, and this trade-off is what mainly cements her place as a straight-up downgrade when compared to SVD. With 36 base RoF and the 50% RoF self-buff provided by her Skill, T-5000 is unable to cap her RoF in meta RFHG Echelons such as PPK/Makarov/Stechkin and Grizzly/Welrod/Calico whereas SVD can – which will result in a noticeably different performance between the two.

This presents a question: should RFHG Echelons be constructed around capping T-5000’s RoF? The answer is, well, not really. T-5000 requires two dedicated RoF buffers (Stechkin, Calico, and/or Five-seveN) to even reach the cap, which results in her overshooting said cap by 10 points. This creates the awkward situation where T-5000 is better paired with Damage-focused RFs, as SVD and WA2000 will overshoot the cap even further with these buffs. This becomes an issue since when two dedicated RoF buffers are present, both M14 and Lee-Enfield outperform T-5000, leaving few reasons to use her To make matters worse, even when T-5000’s RoF is capped, her lower Damage when compared to WA2000 and SVD means she’ll still find herself outperformed by them. Further considering that SVD is the same rarity as T-5000, there’s no compelling reason to use T-5000 over SVD.

Overall, though, while T-5000 is in every way a downgrade from SVD, she is still an accessible RF option that performs well, even if she’s not the optimal choice in her class. She comes recommended as a temporary replacement if SVD or WA2000 are unavailable.

Team Options

RoF and Hybrid buffers

T-5000, like any general purpose RF, needs RoF and/or Hybrid buffers to shine. HGs like Stechkin, PPK, Makarov, Welrod, and Calico will fill this role well.

RoF RF

RFs come in pairs, so T-5000 should be paired with another RoF RF that can make use of the same buffs she needs. Either WA2000 or SVD will work.
