Overview
DSR-50 is another Bamboo RF, who’s skill is reliant on waiting to output a large burst of damage to a single target. She has the second highest base Damage in Class, and below average ROF for her class. These characteristics don’t particularly make for a good general use RF, although her accuracy is one of the best in class. Her ROF stat limiting her DPS and her skill not synergizing for general use makes her fall flat.
One of the key things that makes her special is her bonus Damage against armored enemies. She can out damage NTW-20 Pre-mod against single armored targets, although that’s where most of her skill ends its usefulness. In order to fire off a 10x Damaged shot against armored enemies, her effective ICD is 16.5 seconds, although if her skill is activated right at the 8 second mark, she deals 4x damage to the highest HP armored target. This still isn’t particularly exceptional either, and once again shows the weakness of her skill for general use.
There are certain circumstances where there’s an argument to be made about her skill’s usage, as EN is progressing to more armored bosses, however investing in that niche for some potential specialization shouldn’t be the priority. A single shot at 10x damage, 5 links, even with 3 Damage buffing handguns, (for sake of argument, 180% Damage), even if the armor is fully pierce, is still only around 23k damage for 16.5 seconds of preparation time. With bosses in the hundreds of thousands of HP, this doesn’t particularly speak well to her niche.
That being said, there are certain non-boss enemies which are armored which require large amounts of damage, however the long wind up time means if you are depending on DSR-50 for her burst of damage, only in a few specific fights where enemies have long walk up time will she be able to shine.
Comparatively, other Dolls that can combat similar enemies (Hydras, Dopplesoldners, Striders, etc.), other high burst damage Dolls (NTW-20, Kar-98k, TAC-50) can combat these units more effectively, with better uptime or faster skill turnarounds, while there are much other dolls who can do the same with self buffs or other special features for their skills (Lee, M14 Mod, Mosin Nagant/Mod) which can also clear trash-mobs better.

Strengths
High Base Damage and Multiplier
DSR-50 follows right behind NTR-20 for the second highest base Damage in class. After charging, 6x damage/10x to armored enemies
Weaknesses
Low ROF
Bamboo types usually have some of the lowest ROF in class, and DSR-50 is no exception.
Mediocre Skill
Just like NTW-20 (Pre-Mod), Bamboo skills aren’t too well suited for general use. Having a skill which does more damage against armored units is good, however, that extra 4x on the damage multiplier doesn’t make up for what else she lacks, when other options for countering armor exist.
Odd Tiles
While her tiles have good reach, effectively her only usable tile in a conventional echelon is directly in front of her.

Team Options
Damage Buffers
Attempting to compensate for DSR-50’s low ROF is rather ineffective, to synergise with her skill best if attempting to use her for the maximum burst of damage, Damage buffers are likely most effective.
M14 Mod and WA-2000
Tying a Bamboo with a generalist is likely your best bet in dealing with mob swarms as DSR-50 is unable to deal with them herself effectively.
NTW-20
If attempting to burst down bosses (which likely can’t be done at many late stages of the game), pairing her with another powerful Bamboo is likely your best bet. (Not recommended, this is a big if.)
