Equipment
Overview
wz.29 is the September 2019 monthly login reward for EN and an RF that is designed to output damage through her Skill, Assault Focus, which gives her a 60% bonus to her Rate of Fire. However, wz.29 has below average Damage and Rate of Fire, which makes her overall DPS fairly low. When compared to other RFs, wz.29 does not perform very well, as she is edged out in Damage, RoF, and Accuracy by many other self-buffing RFs. From a gameplay value perspective, wz.29 is only worth investing in if a Commander likes her more than VM59, and does not possess any higher rarity DPS RFs or has the cores to train them.

Strengths
Good Skill
wz.29 has a standard self-buffing Assault Focus Skill granting 60% increased Rate of Fire for 5 seconds, with the normal 8 second cooldown.
Weaknesses
Very Low Damage and Rate of Fire
wz.29 has lower than average Rate of Fire and Damage for her class, which makes it hard for her to reach the same DPS as other self-buffing RFs. Even a 2-star RF, VM59, outdamages her in almost all situations.
Longer Initial Cooldown
For some inexplicable reason, wz.29’s Assault Focus Skill has an Initial Cooldown of 6 seconds, which is 1 more second than every other RF with the same Skill. This hampers wz.29’s damage output even more.
Full Analysis
wz.29 occupies a rather unfortunate rung in the DPS RF hierarchy, as she has low Damage and Rate of Fire compared to her peers. wz.29’s Tile Buff lackluster as well, with only a 12% Skill Cooldown Reduction to one HG diagonally below her. Her own Skill is a fairly standard Assault Focus, which grants a 60% bonus to Rate of Fire for 5 seconds.
wz.29 has 113 Damage at max level, which falls short of average and makes it difficult for wz.29 to compete with other DPS RFs when combined with her low base RoF of 32. While the Assault Focus Skill helps mitigate this weakness somewhat, she is outdone by most other Assault Focus RFs and offers no special differentiating strengths aside from high values in Evasion and HP, two stats that are generally irrelevant for DPS units.
All in all, wz.29 is an RF whose poor base stats compromise her ability to deal competitive DPS, despite her standard self-buffing Skill. This results in generally lackluster damage output and an overall subpar performance when compared to other RFs, even 2-star units such as FN-49/VM59 and non-self-buff RFs with good base stats like SV-98. While wz.29 can still do her job of dispatching armored units just fine, investing a lot in her is not recommended due to the low returns compared to other available options.

Team Options
HG who buff Damage or Rate of Fire
These buffs help bolster wz.29’s DPS and are generally desired by all self-buffing RFs. Grizzly, SAA, and Mk23 are great choices for Damage boosts, while M950A, Stetchkin, and Five-seveN provide Rate of Fire buffing. Budget options such as Astra and Bren Ten can work, but a team that uses too many budget options will end up experiencing significantly degraded performance due to the stacking tradeoffs.
RF with Assault Focus
Other RFs with Assault Focus benefit from the same buffs that wz.29 does, which makes it easier to pick the right HG for the team. WA2000 and SVD are excellent standard choices, while VM59 is a readily available budget pick.

wz.29/RF |
wz.29 is best used in a traditional 2RF 3HG team, where she naturally fits into position 7 due to her Formation Buff. If the other RF deals substantially more damage, it may be more beneficial to place wz.29 in tile 1 and forego her tile buff entirely, so that the stronger DPS will receive more HG buffs.

History/Trivia
The wz.29 is a Polish bolt action carbine based on the German Kar98AZ, and was designed to alleviate the logistical nightmare that regaining their independence in 1918 had left them. The Polish Army at the time had 22 models of rifles in their armory, each firing a different cartridge, including Russian M91 Mosin Nagants, German Gewehr 98s, French Berthiers, and Japanese Arisakas.
From combat experience gained from World War I and the 1921 Polish-Soviet War where the German K98A was fielded Poland found several flaws in the design, namely the bayonet lug which would break in hard impacts and against hard objects. Ultimately, Poland would simplify the Mauser action, and use modernized aspects of the wz.98, the wz.29’s predecessor, to create what would become the wz.29.
The wz.29 comes in two models, infantry and cavalry. Infantry rifles have a straight bolt handle, while cavalry rifles’ bolt handles are curved downward, though to simplify manufacture of the rifle they both use the same stock that has a cutout for a bolt handle curved down.
Ultimately, the wz.29 was produced for 9 years, from 1930-39, but saw use through the second World War used by the Polish Army, the German Wehrmacht, and guerrillas of the Polish Underground.
