Overview

Beach Fairy. This name is probably one of the most loved by Girls’ Frontline players along with Parachute and Combo. But why is this fairy so loved? Is she that strong compared to the clearly dominant fairies? Let’s find out together.

Beach Fairy’s is named and has this appearance because of the fact that the event Shattered Connexion started during summer on older events.

First, let’s talk about the aura of this fairy, and it is pretty obvious that she looks like two other fairies on this point: Command and Parachute. But Beach is a little weaker than the other two on her damage and critical damage values, which makes her a bit weaker than them even if she has a slightly higher evasion value.

Her skill, Slothful Tide, has an unique behaviour in the game, since it is able to knockback enemies during the fight. While it is known that it has issues against some enemies, it stays an undeniably good skill in terms of usefulness, but it also makes her fit in almost, if not all, Echelons, not to mention the synergy she has with certain dolls, such as KSVK, which rely on enemies having debuffs to proc her Skill 2. As Beach’s skill comes off right at the start of the battle, it guarantees KSVK can use her Skill 2 until another source of debuff comes to play.

For Talent, it actually is pretty simple: You want either Damage I or II, or Fervor. All the other Talents can reduce her strength, so you want these three.

Beach Fairy’s scaling isn’t that good, so it is recommended to completely level it and enhance it as much as possible to exploit it at its maximum potential.

The biggest downside you can find to this Fairy is that we aren’t going to be able to obtain it again before a really, really long time.

Strengths

+ Unique behaviour

Beach Fairy is currently the only fairy that knocks back enemies. Before she appeared, that was an ability that was exclusive to the Shotgun class and even there was relying on RNG. Having a guaranteed push of all enemies makes Beach even more valuable.

+ Awesome versatility

Beach can pretty much fit in every team composition. MGSG? Sure, she’ll buy MG some time to burst and reload. ARSMG? Sure, she’ll avoid you taking damage on your tanks. RFHG? Sure, she’ll allow you to kite decently and buy you time until you can burst the enemy with all HG buffs and RF skills. Beach Fairy possibilities are completely insane and it is really hard to not exploit it, not to mention synergies that she has with some dolls, such as KSVK Mod3.

+ Strong Aura

Beach Fairy’s aura is pretty similar to the two (currently) strongest burst aura of the game: Command and Parachute. Even if she is slightly weaker, it isn’t by much and makes her aura reliable.

+ Cheap enhancement

Due to her being an “extra” fairy, Beach needs only 550 exp in total instead of 3000, making her cheaper to maximize.

Weaknesses

- Knockback bug

It might be patched someday, but it is worth mentioning: Beach Fairy sometimes has troubles knocking back fast enemies such as Dactyls and Brutes, so you might take some damage because of this bug. It is also worth mentioning here that the knockback doesn’t prevent some enemies from charging their skills, so you have to be careful about some Doppelsoldner comps.

- Event Fairy

Beach Fairy was the Shattered Connexion ranking reward, and won’t be obtainable until “Flower of the End”, Shattered Connexion ranking map, gets a rerun
