Clear Steps
Polarized Light sets its stage early, with Chapter 1's first map being a straightforwards two-turn search and destroy mission, taking two turns to clear with blissfully no RNG involved. For newer players, this may serve as your first introduction to the KCCO faction and its assorted enemies. Any major mechanics involving them will be introduced as they appear.
This map features a pair of new enemies, the Pathfinder (the tiny walking orb things), and Orthus/Dogs (the, well, dogs).
Orthus, overwhelmingly and hereafter referred to as 'Dogs', 'Doggos', or other canine terms, are one of the more complicated KCCO enemies, and require a bit of care to defeat. They're primary mechanic is that after rushing up to melee range, and attacking once or twice, they will put up a shield. This shield can only take 1 damage per hit, and is a percentage of HP, up to 150.
These enemies are best dealt with using ARs, specifically those with high Rate of Fire, such as AR-15, or multi-hit attacks, such as K2 and G11.
Pathfinders aren't complicated, they just walk slowly towards your Echelons. If they get close enough, they can do a lot of damage. Pathfinders have relatively low HP but a fair bit of Armor, so if you are struggling, bring a Rifle!
Pathfinders are more important when we finally encounter a Recce Center!

Deploy Combat Echelons on the Heliport and Command Post.

Move the upper Combat Echelon down one node and to the right one node.
You can move the lower Combat Echelon down and right as well, I'm just a doofus, and didn't think of that when I took the screenshots!

Move the lower Combat Echelon to the right one node, then down one node and end your turn.
