Clear Steps

This map introduces a 'new' mechanic, in the EMP grenade. When thrown at an enemy it will stun them, preventing movement and applying a debuff to them as well. This is used to hold one of the large Minotaur stacks at the top of the map in place late in the clear. The rest of this map is fairly straight forwards, involving the standard fare KCCO enemies at this point, lots of Dogs and Archers, and a semi-tight time limit that does need to be respected. 

As always, a Parachute can make a mockery of this map. There is also a cheeky early completion if an Archer moves up into the path of the bottom Minotaur death stack. Because the Minotaur moves first, the archer in it's way will sync up the movement of the Minotaurs, letting you sneak by to victory. We won't be using that path here, I only got it to happen once time out of eight or nine attempts, but if you get lucky it saves some time over the method below!

Turn 1

1.1

Deploy a Combat Echelon on the Command Post. Move them to the left, then deploy a second Combat Echelon and end your turn.

Turn 2

2.1

Move the left Combat Echelon to the, well, left one node, then up two nodes. Pick up the Bomb now.

Turn 3

3.1

Move the Echelon with the Bomb down two nodes and to the right one node. End your turn.

Turn 4

4.1

Swap the Combat Echelons, before moving the one with the Bomb to the right one node. Use the Bomb to destroy the Artillery. 

4.2

Deploy a Dummy Echelon on the Command Post, and swap them with the Combat Echelon on the left. End your turn.

Turn 5

5.1

Move the Combat Echelon on the Command Post down two nodes, and pick up the EMP Grenade. 

5.2

Move that Echelon back up-left two nodes to the Command Post.

Turn 6

6.1

Move the Combat Echelon on the Command Post up three nodes. Throw the EMP Grenade at the Minotaur on the RIGHT. It is important you EMP the correct enemy. 

6.2

Move the upper Combat Echelon back one node, to avoid getting attacked by the upper Minotaur, and end your turn.

Turn 7

7.1

Move the upper Combat Echelon up two nodes, and to the left one node, and finish the map.
