Equipment

Overview

Desert Eagle (or Deagle) is a DPS HG with multiple parts of her Skill all increasing her damage output while both dealing damage to HP Shields and piercing them at the same time. She is also given for free through the 7-day Login for new Commanders.

Upon activating her Skill, she marks the three units with the Highest combined HP and HP Shields. She also self-buffs her RoF by 40%, applies 10% Vuln to her Marks and further amplifies her own damage when attacking said targets by 60%, stacking up to 3 times.

Deagle doesn't function like most other HP Shield piercing Dolls, rather than just ignoring HP Shields she instead deals full damage to both the HP Shield and actual HP at once. This usually doesn't matter much as dealing damage directly to HP is usually what you want in any case and Deagle is usually the main DPS when she is used for this niche, so breaking the HP Shield isn't too common nor important.

While any Marked target exists, she will lock onto one of them and keep attacking it until it is dead. Wiggling her will not change targets, and she will stay locked onto that target until it dies or the Mark expires (such as if enemies with more total HP and HP Shields come into range when Skill is activated again).

Deagle has two damage amplifications through the standard 10% Vuln and the 60% increased damage taken from Deagle effect. The 10% Vuln works like normal Vuln, so let's talk about the 60% amp. Every time she attacks a target with a Mark, she will start with 60% increased damage, and each subsequent hit will increase this by a further 60% until she has 3 stacks against them. As such, on the third hit on a single target she has already maxed this out. All in all this results in a total of over 300% increased damage just from her own amp, and when combined with the generic 10% Vuln and her RoF buff, this ends up being around a 6.3x DPS multiplier. That's absolutely absurd.

Obviously, this comes with some caveats, like her being unable to deal with Armor well at all as damage amplification is calculated after Armor.

All in all, Deagle is an amazing DPS HG but is not really a general-use Doll, and is most frequently used in a 5HG comp, but can see use as a Shield-piercing specialist where that is needed.

Strengths

Ridiculous Single-target DPS

A total DPS multiplier of around 6.3x just from herself is absolutely absurd.

HP Shield Piercing

Being able to deal damage directly to enemies through their HP Shields is quite useful against quite a few enemies.

Weaknesses

Cannot Deal with Armor

As all of Deagle's damage increases comes from damage amplification and RoF buffs, she absolutely cannot deal with Armor unless she gains external Damage buffs. Damage amplification is calculated after Armor, so her 1 damage will be amplified to 4 after 3 stacks of her own amp.

Not Good For Mobbing

As most of Deagle's damage comes from her damage amp, and this only applies on Marked targets, killing them too quickly means she cannot benefit from it anymore. As such, she shouldn't be used against large groups of low HP enemies with nothing for her to focus on.
