Strengths
Great Generalist with a Unique Skill
General Liu features all-around solid stats, and the added damage from her squadrons will only further bolster her total damage. With her reinforcements, Liu’s usefulness becomes apparent. Having more DPS on top of a Doll who’s already decent, makes her a great choice as an RF for most situations.
Useful Niche against Coeus tanks
Thanks to her reinforcements, General Liu is the prime choice for fighting KCCO Coeus tanks. Coeus’ machine guns target a random ally in the echelon when firing, so introducing three fodder units can help the main Dolls in the echelon avoid being hit. Her default active skill prioritizes the most distant enemy units, helping deal with Coeus tanks since they stay in the enemy backline
Weaknesses
Dummies can be killed by certain attacks
Liu herself is an all-around solid RF, but a portion of her damage is reliant on the extra output by her reinforcements. The very low 15 HP of each squadron makes it where any damage to them will more than likely kill them. While only a handful of attacks can kill the dummies through other Dolls, they should be kept in mind. Enemies with penetrating attacks such as Rodeleros and Typhons will damage Liu’s reinforcements. The loss of her dummies will lead to her overall damage dropping, and in the event Liu dies or is retreated, the reinforcements will retreat from the battle.
Dummies are unaffected by certain buffs
Liu’s additional dummies are unaffected by certain buffs. Liu herself can be boosted by these buffs, but since her dummies do not occupy an actual column, they’re unaffected. Keep this in mind when using HGs like P22 that buff specific columns on the field. In the case of K5, the reinforcements are not recognized as actual RFs and thus do not benefit from the associated buff. In the case of Carcano M1891, her skill does not function with Liu’s reinforcements. As for Px4 Storm, her skill does buff the dummies, but only if Px4 is placed on position 7.
Full Analysis
Dropping from Dual Randomness, General Liu is an all-around excellent rifle for use in most situations. With a base damage stat of 139, a rate of fire of 40, and an accuracy of 88, her role as a great generalist is apparent. However, on top of her stats, she features one of the most unique skills in the game, Shared Vengeance.
Shared Vengeance is a skill with two parts. First, her passive summons 3 squads of 3-linked reinforcement Dolls that stand behind the back column during the start of battle. These three squadrons do not occupy the main three columns and thus are not targeted by attacks that target tiles. At Skill Level 10, each link will have 35% of Liu’s damage, 60% of her rate of fire, and 40% of her accuracy. Further, each link has 5 HP, bringing each squadron to 15 total HP. At max level and default mode from her active skill, this converts to 58 FP, 21 RoF, 35 ACC, and 5HP for each link. Now add this to her base stats, and you’ll begin to see why Liu is considered a fantastic RF. But that’s not all. Her Active skill allows her to change her targeting mode which alters her and her reinforcements’ performance.
Liu’s active skill is a toggle between her default Normal Mode and Automatic Mode. Because of this, you should keep her skill set to manual. During Normal Mode, her RoF is decreased by 10% while her FP is increased by 20%. This brings up her base stats to 166 FP and 36 RoF, quite a considerable amount of damage with middle-of-the-road RoF. Furthermore, Normal Mode prioritizes the most distant enemy unit. Liu’s reinforcement squadrons are based on her stats from her current firing mode, so her reinforcement links during this mode have 58 FP, 21 RoF, and 35 ACC.
During Automatic Mode, her FP is decreased by 10% while her RoF is increased by 20%. This changes her base stats to 125 FP and 48 RoF, making her a very fast-firing RF with the trade-off of lowering her base damage. Opposed to Normal Mode, Automatic Mode will prioritize the closest enemy unit. Activating this mode removes the need to manually reset targeting in most instances, as long as you’re okay with the performance changes. Liu’s squadrons during Automatic Mode have 43 FP, 28 RoF, and 35 ACC.
Taking all of this into account, it’s no surprise that General Liu is an outstanding RF with a skill like no other. Her strengths far outweigh her weaknesses, and she’ll be a solid addition to your echelons. Not to mention, the bonus of her being farmable in a Dual Randomness farming map means she’ll be available to all players.

Team Options
Because of Liu’s impressive RoF stat which is only further raised in her Automatic Mode, Liu doesn’t need much of an RoF buff. If using Liu purely in default Normal Mode, some RoF buffs can help. Traditional FP and RoF boosting HGs work great with her, but due to the aforementioned reasons, performance may vary. As for HGs who provide leader, position, or class-based buffs, their skills are incompatible with Liu’s dummies. Since a portion of Liu’s total damage output is reliant on her reinforcements, traditional buffers are preferred.
