Equipment

Overview

Tabuk is a 4-star RF with a peculiar self-buff skill: in addition to buffing her Damage by 55%, it makes Tabuk prioritize targets within 5 units of her and deal 10% more damage to enemies in this range.

Tabuk's base stats aren't particularly impressive, and the 55% multiplier on her skill is lower than even 3-star RFs like M14 (who have a 60% self-buff).

Her overall DPS is therefore relatively weak compared to other RFs, so it's not very important to raise Tabuk if the Commander already has strong RFs.

How does Tabuk's targeting really work?

Tabuk does not become a closest-enemy-first targeting RF, despite what her skill may seem like. Instead, she targets the furthest enemy within 5 units, which means she often ends up units who are in between the frontline and backline.

Her skill activation shows a visual indicator of this range during battle.

This isn't a particularly useful niche, as there aren't really any notable formations where the most threatening enemies are located in that range.

Team Options

Since Tabuk buffs her own Damage stat, at least one Rate of Fire buffer HG should be paired with her so she fires at a decent pace.

If more than one Rate of Fire HG buffer is used, the other RF should also be a Damage selfbuffer (such as M14, G28, or Lee-Enfield) to avoid overcapping RoF.
