Introduction
- Christmas is upon Chaldea once again! The Christmas 2022 event features an Event Shop and an unlimited Lottery, making it an excellent time to farm for QP/EXP/Friend Points/Mana Prisms!
- There are three event currencies (
), whose rates are boosted by event CEs (
). - There is also a lottery currency (
) whose drop rates are boosted by the Event Shop CE (
). - Clearing lottery boxes yields two special currencies:
: Can be exchanged in the Event Shop (including extra copies to NP5 Karna (Santa)), and is also used to run some Free Quests and the special Santa Boxing Match quests.
: Used to obtain prizes from the special Black Present lottery, which includes valuable items such as Summon Tickets and Saint Quartz Fragments! Note that this lottery cannot be reset. Black Presents can also be obtained from clearing Santa Boxing Match quests.- The AP cost of Main Quest + all Free Quests cleared at least once is approximately 390 AP.
- The Event Shop CE for this event increases Lottery Currency drops.
- Main Quests will unlock on a daily basis, and clearing Main Quests will also make new Free Quests and Santa Boxing Match Quests available each day. Quests will unlock following the below schedule:

General Tips
- Event Bonus Servants gain a damage boost and bonus Bond EXP during event quests!
- Event Bonus CEs will grant various bonuses. Gacha CEs providing drop bonus for shop currencies (); the Event Shop CE provides drop bonuses to the Lottery Currency ()!
The below is a summary of the general flow of the event. This event is very straightforward, alternating between Main Quests and Free/Match Quests as they unlock each day; the detailed walkthrough provides guidance what enemies to expect, as well as information about drops and CE suggestions for each quest.
The overall flow is Main Quests > Free Quests > Match Quests > repeat, with time gates between individual Main Quest chapters.
Walkthrough:
1) Clear Main Quests available for the day.
2) Clear Free Quests that unlock for the day at least once. The latest Free Quest to unlock is pretty much always the best one to farm.
3) Purchase all 4 copies of the Event Shop CE ASAP to maximize lottery currency drops.
4) Open Lottery boxes as currency allows to get Christmas Gongs + Black Presents, and Karna (Santa)'s Ascension / Exchange materials.
5) Clear Match Quests when able to afford them to get Black Presents for the Black Present lottery, as well as for unlocking the next Main Quest.
6) Farm Free Quests until the sun goes down (be sure to equip the shop CE) to open Lottery Boxes.

Match Quests are technically optional, although they help with reaching Main Quest unlock requirements. Clearing all 7 is necessary to completely clear the Black Present lottery box (which includes a Summon Ticket and 63 SQ fragments, which are highly valuable!). If running short on time, if you ever have multiple Match Quests available, do the latter one first, since later matches give more Black Presents. A break bar Archer (80k, 134k HP), break bar Berserker (49k, 82k HP), and another Berserker (61k HP). Bringing at least one female Servant in the frontline will cause the Archer to self-charm after break; just make sure to deal with him quickly since otherwise he will use his NP the next turn. Without a female on the field, the Archer gains a Buster buff after break. The Archer also passively gains a Crit Rate buff every time using Buster attacks. The supporting Archer has over 1.5M HP, but can be ignored. The Saber starts with NP Seal, perma-Taunt and a buff that increases their ATK when normal attacking, and Crit Rate when taking damage. On first break, the Saber gains a permanent 30% chance to Evade and a minor DEF buff. On second break, the Saber's NP Seal and Evade effects are removed, and they begin gaining an extra NP bar each turn. The supporting Archer Servant never attacks or uses their NP, and instead buffs the Saber each turn. They will rotate between Crit Rate/Ignore DEF -> Clear DEF down debuff / 3k Damage Cut -> Heal 30k HP. On the final HP bar, the 30k HP heal also adds a 1-time, 4-turn Guts that revives with 3k HP. Should I use Apples?
- Yes, lottery events are an excellent opportunity to farm EXP, QP, Mana Prisms, Friend Points, and select Ascension Materials at excellent AP return. However, if only aiming for max Ascension / NP5 Karna (Santa), no AP fruit should be needed.
- Natural Regen AP will be approximately 3980 AP throughout the event.
- First time minimum clear takes approx 390 AP, if running all quests once.
- For just Max Asc / NP5 Karna (Santa), which requires 5 Lottery Grand Prizes, approximately 1190 AP. This ignores the Black Present and rest of the Event Shop.
- For clearing the Event Shop (no monuments, EXP, 3* Fous, and ignoring the Black Present lottery), this will take approximately 3150 AP.
- For clearing the Event Shop (no monuments, EXP, or 3* Fous), but a cleared Black Present lottery, which requires opening 20 Lottery boxes, this will take approximately 4110 AP.
- For clearing the Event Shop (no monuments, but with Fous and EXP, and cleared Black Present lottery), this will take approximately 4310 AP.
- For a full Event Shop clear including monuments and the full Black Present lottery, this total reaches 4550 AP to clear all pieces and monuments.
- The amount of AP required can be reduced with more copies of Event Ces and Bonus Servants. Additional copies of 4* or 5* CEs must be obtained in the gacha, while 3* CEs can be obtained in the Friend Point Gacha (at a low rate).
- Assumptions for the above AP costs (uses "first timer worst case scenario with no Friend Point Gacha luck, but has 3* Servants", AP reduced if more bonus available):
