Prisma Codes - Raid Servant Recommendations

Prisma Codes - Raid Servant Recommendations

Overview

Raid battles are mandatory for the progression of story as well as for unlocking new event nodes for farming. Completing Raid battles will deplete a total boss HP bar visible in the Event Map that represents how close the boss is to being defeated. The bar has specific thresholds, where dealing a certain cumulative amount of damage will cause the Raid to enter the next stage, where the enemy mobs gain more HP and the boss sometimes gain access to additional skills.

However, unlike Raid events like Onigashima or Rashoumon, the Raid battles in Prisma Illya are quite easy. This is due to all the bosses in the event taking 50% extra damage from either Arts or Buster cards, the bonus damage on the Event Servants, and the additional damage and performance boost from the Kaleid CEs. For the early fights, charging one NP on a leveled Servant is all that is needed to finish the fight.

Instead of a full Servant Recommendation guide, this section will aim to give Masters a more general plan on how to tackle each Raid battle, as well as our own top 5 recommended Servants to be brought for each specific battle.

The Mainstays

“Haha this is an all-female event, there is no way Zhuge Liang is at the to-”

There are a few Servants that generally good for all or many raid battles that one should consider raising or having in their support list.

Main Damage Recommendations for All Raids

Servant Bonus Description

Illyasviel von Einzbern
[Female]
+100%
With a massive Event damage bonus, a leveled Illya can blow up most Buster raids very quickly despite a lack of class bonus. Furthermore, none of the Raid battles have Riders in them, making her a safe choice if a more ideal option isn’t available.

Chloe von Einzbern
[Female]
+100%
The only reason that Chloe cannot be brought to every raid is because she isn’t available until completing the epilogue, and some Raid battles have Lancer enemies. However, Chloe’s sheer damage output during the event is more than enough to handle the majority of Raid battles. Since she is only unlocked after the Main Raid Battles she will only be available for the Extra Raid Battles. However, you can still borrow other players’ Chloe supports.

Jeanne d'Arc (Alter)
[Female] Jeanne Alter is highly recommended for any raid battles that buff Buster performance. Her neutral Avenger damage and modifiers allow her to be utilized without fear of enemy resistance. Even in battles that buff Art cards instead, Jeanne Alter can still function very well provided she is equipped with an Event Craft Essence and has proper offensive supports.

Servant Bonus Description

Zhuge Liang (El Melloi II)
Aside from his obvious benefits to farming, Zhuge Liang is also the MVP of most boss battles in the game. Instant 50% NP charge to one teammate and 20% to the remaining ones, combined with some of the best buffs in the game make him invaluable even though he has no bonus damage during the event. For Masters with powerful rosters of their own, Zhuge Liang is ideal.

Mash Kyrielight
[Female]
+100%
For players without a strong offensive line up or prefer a more safe approach to boss fights, raising Mash as soon as possible (including finishing Camelot for her Skills and Noble Phantasm Upgrade) is a very good idea for her defensive capabilities. That is no less true for this event, though a good offense is usually all that is necessary for this event.

Tamamo-no-Mae
[Female] Because many of the bosses are weak to Arts, and given the event MVP Chloe’s Arts focus , deploying Tamamo in any Arts-centric team will make each run much more successful. Borrow or field her if you possess a great Arts Servant of your own.

Nightingale
[Female] With half of the bosses being weak to Buster, Nightingale performs very well in her role as Buster buff bot. Borrow or field her if the main strategy relies on a powerful Buster Servant of your own. Furthermore, most Raid bosses of the event belong to the Humanoid classification, allowing her to exploit her first skill.

Land of Sweets

“Why do I have to bulli best Book!?”
Bonus
+50% to Buster

The first raid battle of the event is very easy for anyone with strong female Riders. Both the Demon Pillar’s and Nursery Rhyme’s HP are also not high enough to pose a big challenge. The Demonic Pillar can drain a team’s NP gauge by 20% each while buffing themselves with NP damage up, so it is better to be safe than sorry and kill it first.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Nursery Rhyme starts with an attack buff.
Threshold III Nursery Rhyme starts with an increased crit chance buff.

Servant Bonus Description

Francis Drake
[Female] High AoE damage and NP uptime make Drake a stellar pick for this node. All you need is one NP.

Queen Medb
[Female]
+50%
Normally she may be a lackluster Servant, but the event damage buff makes her a strong damage dealer during the event. Her NP generation is also quite decent thanks to her Golden Rule (Body) skill.

Ushiwakamaru
[Female] While she gains no huge benefit from the Buster buff, she is one of the best F2P options thanks to her high damage ST Noble Phantasm and supporting capacity.

Mordred (Rider)
[Female] Mordred can cycle at least two Noble Phantasm per match when properly supported with Arts performance buffs, which is more than enough to wipe the last wave.

Altria Pendragon (Santa Alter)
[Female] With a powerful AoE Buster Noble Phantasm at NP 5, what more do you want for this node aside from this lovely Santa?

Land of Dragons and Sea

“Do your best Jason impression against Medea Lily.”
Bonus
+50% to Arts

While the enemy composition consists of both Sabers and a Caster, the HP values are still low enough that a strong support can tear through the raid. Furthermore, Medea Lily doesn’t deal any damage with her Noble Phantasm and her multi-hit attacks can also charge your NP bars quite fast. Bringing Riders with a Kaleid CE will be more than adequate, but it’s also good to bring some Archers to clean up the skeletons faster.

  • Note: Take out Medea Lily last as the skeletons count towards mission progression.
  • Note 2: The skeletons do not have an Arts weakness and will therefore take less damage from AoE Arts NPs.
Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Medea Lily buffs herself with healing received (50%) up.
Threshold III Medea Lily buffs herself with healing received (50%) up and grants healing over time (10,000) to herself and her Skeleton buddy.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Mordred (Rider)
[Female] Similar to Summer Altria, Summer Mordred can use Prydwen quite frequently with the Arts bonus. Her damage with the Kaleid Sapphire more than makes up for her lack of class bonus against the skeletons.

Francis Drake
[Female] It’s an event full of Caster enemies. Drake is the least surprising pick for any node with a Caster boss. Be careful with her NP in that the Skeletons should die too, play it safe by weakening(or killing) the skeletons first before NPing.

Queen Medb
[Female]
+50%
Her passive damage boost will make a levelled Medb chew through this raid like butter. Make her kill the skeletons with her cards before doing massive damage on to poor Medea Lily with her chariot. Someone call the police.

Oda Nobunaga
[Female] Nobunaga is a solid option here for blasting away the skeletons quickly with an AoE NP. She might not exploit a class bonus against Medea Lily, but she will take care of the skeletons quickly enough so that she will be harmless by herself.

Altria Pendragon (Archer)
[Female] The 50% Arts bonus makes it very easy to use Summer Altria’s Noble Phantasm multiple times per battle. With a Kaleid Sapphire equipped, Altria will make paste of the skeletons and safely kill them, leaving Medea Lily alone, where she is easily handled.

Land of Dead Bookshelves

“Mahatma is not this way, Miss.”
Bonus
+50% to Buster

Even more Casters for your Riders to run amok. It’s a simple node with not much else to worry about as the enemies don’t have any strong gimmicks and Helena is not particularly threatening either. While she can charge her NP bar with her own skills and has an AoE damage NP, her normal attack damage is quite weak and her charge bar is long, meaning that by the time she can threaten the team with her AoE Noble Phantasm she will most likely be dead.

  • Note: Take out Helena last as the Grimoires count towards mission progression.
  • Note 2: Remember that the Grimoires do not have a Buster Weakness.
Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Helena buffs herself with a defense buff at the start.
Threshold III Helena buffs herself with a debuff chance up buff at the start.
Threshold IV Helena buffs herself with an NP damage up buff at the start.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Francis Drake
[Female] 50% Buster performance buffs + all Caster enemy composition screams Drake from 50 miles away. At later thresholds make sure that she doesn’t kill Helena before the grimoires are all toast.

Queen Medb
[Female]
+50%
More time for our favorite Connacht Queen to shine. She doesn’t get that pretty often, so let her have it this time.

Minamoto-no-Raikou
[Female] Raikou can make full use of the 50% buff that this node grants her, as her ability to hit both AoE and single targets extremely hard allows her to kill both the Grimoire and Helena easily with a well-timed Brave Chain.

Altria Pendragon (Santa Alter)
[Female] Another saviour of F2P players, Santa Alter is the perfect solution for this node thanks to her hard-hitting Buster NP. She might kill Helena before the Grimoires so soften them first before you launch an NP.

Ushiwakamaru
[Female] Have no gold Servants ? No problem. Ushiwakamaru is here to save the day again.

Land of Snow and Honey

“Begone, thot!”
Bonus
+50% to Arts

Perhaps the most troublesome node so far of the event, mainly due to the fact that Medb is an Avenger and Cu-chan’s damage is quite troublesome if he is not taken out fast. The bonus for this node is also less than stellar, as most the Servants who excel against the bosses prefer buffs to Buster cards instead. Nonetheless, it is no use envying the Japanese players who have the advantageous Mooncancer class, since there are a few Servants who are good enough to handle Medb-chan. Because options are a bit more open for an Avenger node, this one has a few more suggestions.

  • Note: Take out Medb last as the mini Cu-Chan count towards mission progression.
Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Mini Cu-Chan starts the fight with an attack buff.
Threshold III Mini Cu-Chan starts the fight with NP damage up buff.
Threshold IV Mini Cu-Chan starts the fight with an attack buff.

Servant Bonus Description

Minamoto-no-Raikou
[Female] As of writing this, using Berserkers is the best way to kill Avengers, and being the best Berserker is Raikou’s bread and butter. While she does not receive an additional bonus boost to Buster during this raid, her damage output when equipped with an Event Craft Essence should be enough.

Ibaraki-Douji
[Female] Magical Banana Girl Ibaraki is here to save the day. Her ST NP will make mincemeat of Medb regardless of Medb lacking a Buster weakness.

Ryougi Shiki (Assassin)
[Female] Shiki is a stellar choice here, both for exploiting the Arts bonus as well being able to ignore Mini Cu-Chan’s annoying Protection from Arrows/defense buff.

Oda Nobunaga
[Female] For F2P players without premium solutions like Raikou, Nobu is a fantastic choice. She hits both Medb and Cu Alter for bonus damage thanks to her Anti-Riding and Anti-Divine modifiers.

Altria Pendragon (Archer)
[Female] With the amount of Arts buffs available, Altria can spam her NP for days. She’s also sturdy enough to carry the fights by herself without issue.

Carmilla
[Female] Her Anti-Female modifier at the moment is a lot weaker than Jack, but her NP generation rate makes her a decent substitute for players who do not have access to Jack.

Nero Claudius (Bride)
[Female] With her plethora of buffs and a powerful ST Arts NP, Umu Bride can deal quite well with Medb.

Euryale
[Female] One of the few cheap Arts Servants, Euryale can be used to decent effect in this node. She can readily oneshot the Mini Cu-Chan, and focus the team’s attention to Medb.

Land of Star and Crystal

“Archers as boss enemies are totally fair and balanced”
Bonus
+50% to Buster

This “not really the final stage” raid battle of the event is not particularly hard if attempted with a strong Lancer. Note that Chloe only has a 3 charge bar as an Archer boss and has a skill that can instantly charge her NP bar and critical rate at the same time, making her quite dangerous even for Lancers. Be careful when deploying any Dodge buffs, her NP grants her the Sure Hit buff which pierces Dodge effects.

  • Note: Take out the First Lady last as the magical sticks count towards mission progression.
Special Effects
Threshold I Solo fight.
Threshold II Magical Sticks accompany her now.
Threshold III Magical Sticks accompany her and she starts with Projection Magecraft (Arts/Quick/Buster buffs).
Threshold IV She is solo again and starts the fight with Kiss Demon, increasing her NP gauge by one and improving her crit chance.
Threshold V She remains solo and starts the fight with a bonus to crit damage.

Servant Bonus Description

Brynhild
[Female] With a single target Buster Noble Phantasm, ability to serve as a Critical Damage Dealer reliably and good NP generation, it is not a surprise that Brynhild is one of the best candidates for this node.

Tamamo-no-Mae (Lancer)
[Female] In one way or another, Tamamo Lancer is quite similar to Brynhild. While her skillset offers strong utility and team support, she lacks a Star Absorption skill to make her more suited for this node than Brynhild. Nonetheless, she is still extremely potent against Chloe. Be careful of the demerit on her defense down and her NP may oneshot Chloe before you get a chance to kill the magical sticks.

Kiyohime (Lancer)
[Female] Kiyohime is a good alternative for Brynhild or Summer Tamamo. She has a lot less power and utility, but her damage output is still good enough when equipped with Kaleid Ruby.

Altria Pendragon (Lancer Alter)
[Female] While her AoE Noble Phantasm won’t be of much use against Chloe, her Critical Damage is still very effective, especially when equipped with a Kaleid Ruby.

Scathach
[Female] Scathach’s Noble Phantasm does not get a boost from Buster debuff or the full Kaleid bonus, but thanks to early access to her Interlude and the normal Kaleid Ruby / Kaleid Sapphire boost, she should have no problem dealing with Chloe.

Land of Sweets EXTRA

“Single target Casters are such a rarity, wouldn’t it be terrible if we have to fight more Assassin bosses-- … Goddamnit!”
Bonus
+50% to Arts

You thought you were done after that last stage? Unfortunately not, as we are stuck with more Raid Battles, this time against multiple “gentlemen” posing as Magical Girls. These can be done in any order, but typically Masters start with Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom will cast a charm immediately at the start of the last threshold battle, so it is a good idea to bring the Atlas Academy Uniform to cleanse this debuff, or bring someone with very high Debuff Resistance. Sanzang, Illya and Da Vinci can all immunize themselves to his debuff as you enter the second wave, so try to exploit this by timing their skills right.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Phantom buffs himself with crit damage up.
Threshold III Phantom charms one target with his Alluring Voice.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Leonardo da Vinci
[Female] With an AoE Arts Noble Phantasm and very fast NP generation thanks to her skills, our favorite inventor is a great choice for this battle. She gains top dog status her mostly because she can delete the dangerous Berserker mobs the fastest.

Helena Blavatsky

Nursery Rhyme
[Female]
+50%
As the last wave has three enemies, these two AoE Casters are great candidates in the team. Their damage is further boosted by their innate bonus during the event.

Illyasviel von Einzbern
[Female]
+100%
Unfortunately, single target Casters are still rare in the game. During this event, players with Illya will be happy that she can make this battle less of a chore. While she is a good choice for almost any raid in this event, she’s particularly good here.

Xuanzang Sanzang
[Female] Sanzang has the ability to use her Noble Phantasm extremely fast, making her a prime candidate to hold Kaleid Ruby / Kaleid Sapphire and instantly nuke Phantom. Her lack of an event bonus like Illya make her the clear weaker choice.

Medea
[Female] In a sense, Medea might even be better than Sanzang thanks to her Arts Noble Phantasm being buffed during this battle. She is also very easy to NP5 and is a fantastic solution for any F2P players.

Land of Dragons and Sea EXTRA

“Thankfully all good Sabers are females, right?”
Bonus
+50% to Buster

Currently most of the AoE Sabers in the game are not particularly good for extended fights, but they are the best possible candidates to take out both Blackbeard and the Wyverns. Do note that Blackbeard is a Berserker with high HP, making him particularly dangerous if not killed quickly. A solution would be to leave two wyverns alive until you’re ready to take out all the opponents in one blow.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Blackbeard gains a bonus damage buff against females at the start.
Threshold III Blackbeard casts Voyager of the Storm(1 turn) at the start of the fight.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Mordred
[Female] Of the current AoE Sabers in the game, Mordred has both the damage thanks to her NP interlude and the NP charge skill to make her a prime candidate for the last wave.

Altria Pendragon (Alter)
[Female] One of, if not the most powerful, AoE Saber Noble Phantasm in the game is more than enough to get Saber Alter onto this list. While her normal counterpart has similar NP damage output, Alter has lower Party Cost thanks to her 4 star rarity and thus offers better team building versatility.

Jeanne d'Arc (Alter)
[Female] Jalter is an excellent choice to bring along for her massive damage to any Berserker boss, especially with the Buster bonus. While she is a safe choice for any raid, she bears special mention here. Furthermore, she synergizes very well with any Altria teammates here for some delicious bonus attack buffs.

Altera

Altria Pendragon
[Female] Both are AoE Saber alternatives who benefit from the Buster buff and can blast the last wave. However, both of them are quite slow to get their Noble Phantasms ready in time.

Queen Medb
[Female] When coupled with a solid Saber who can take care of the Wyverns, Medb can obliterate Blackbeard with her bonus damage against Male enemies.

Land of Dead Bookshelves EXTRA

“This event surely has more Casters than a wizard convention.”
Bonus
+50% to Arts

Not much else to speak about for this node, aside from the fact that Gilles will cast an extraordinarily annoying debuff called “Fear” to the entire party at the beginning of the battle at Threshold III that has a chance to stun each turn. The debuff expires once the stun goes into effect or after 5 turns. Unlike most previous Caster raid battles, this one buffs Arts instead of Buster. However, by this point most players should have a max limit-broken Kaleid Ruby / Kaleid Sapphire already.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Gilles will start the battle with a buff to his debuff application chance.
Threshold III Gilles will start the battle by casting the fear debuff on the team.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Mordred (Rider)
[Female] With the battle buffing Arts instead of Buster, Mordred rises to the top with her trusty Prydwen.

Francis Drake
[Female] What? Were you seriously expecting anyone else to beat Drake in an AoE Rider Noble Phantasm contest?

Queen Medb
[Female]
+50%
Gilles belongs to a category of enemies that Medb loves to dominate.

Altria Pendragon (Santa Alter)
[Female] Busting a wave full of Caster is what Santa Alter does for a living after all.

Saint Martha
[Female] While her offensive power is weak, her AoE debuff cleanse can help a lot against the Fear status that Gilles inflicts.

Land of Snow and Honey EXTRA

“Diarmuid Saber never”
Bonus
+50% to Buster

Another Lancer battle with another bonus to Buster. In contrast to the Blackbeard fight, this fight against Diarmuid is a lot more annoying due to his Attack debuff at Threshold III at the beginning of the fight and his access to a dodge, slowing down the pace of the battle considerably.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Diarmuid buffs himself with a bonus to NP damage.
Threshold III Diarmuid debuffs female frontline members with -50% attack for 1 turn.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Altria Pendragon (Alter)
[Female] Besides being a good way to relive the battle between the King of Knights (albeit Alter form) and the Knight of Fianna in Fate/Zero, Saber Alter has the strongest AoE Noble Phantasm for Sabers at the moment in the game, further boosted by the Buster buff. While her normal counterpart has similar NP damage output, Alter has lower Party Cost thanks to her 4 star rarity and thus offers better team building versatility.

Mordred
[Female] With an instant NP charge, Mordred will get to 100% bar faster than her Saber counterparts.

Minamoto-no-Raikou
[Female] Keeping Raikou alive might be a bit difficult for this node, but she is one of the few Servants in the game that has bonus damage against Diarmuid thanks to her Mystic Slayer skill.

Altria Pendragon

Altera
[Female] Decent Saber options with good AoE Noble Phantasms. They might struggle to finish off Diarmuid in one round, but they should deal considerable damage to him regardless.

Okita Souji

Ibaraki-Douji
[Female] For some ST NP options, both Ibaraki and Okita can function fairly well. Okita is the best single target Saber in the game at the moment. Although her NP doesn’t gain a bonus like the other Servants, she can still do some massive Buster crits. Meanwhile Ibaraki will exploit Buster bonuses fully but falls faster and has more trouble getting her NP ready.

Land of Star and Crystal EXTRA

“No, for real, this is the last stage! What do you mean it’s another Caster raid battle ?!?”
Bonus
+50% to Arts

Alas, we are at the end of our journey in this magical land. Testament is a reskinned version of [redacted], and as a boss, she is not too troublesome. Her only gimmick is that she gets an NP right at the start of the battle at the final Threshold, so using Servants who can tank that attack is a good idea. Using taunters such as Mash or equipping a taunt CE is a good foolproof method to protect the team as well.

Special Effects
Threshold I
Threshold II Final Testament debuffs one target with debuff application chance down.
It may instead also decrease the chance to apply buffs to allies.
Threshold III Final Testament debuffs one target with healing received down.
Threshold IV Final Testament charges her NP to full at the start of the fight.

Recommendations

Servant Bonus Description

Queen Medb
[Female]
+50%
Single target damage is more valuable for this node as the mobs don’t have too high HP. As such, Medb is the best Rider available as she gets significant bonus damage from the event and does single target damage.

Francis Drake

Altria Pendragon (Santa Alter)
[Female] The best two current AoE Riders in the game with good damage on their normal attacks as well.

Chloe von Einzbern
[Female]
+100%
With her massive event damage boost and one of the few powerful female ST NP Arts Servants, Chloe deserves an explicit mention here. Masters who have maxed her out already will find that she can handle the Final Testament extremely well.

Ushiwakamaru
[Female] Ushi deserves a pay raise after this event as she is still the most reliable F2P single target Rider one can call upon.

Mordred (Rider)
[Female] Currently, Mordred’s Noble Phantasm damage isn’t on the higher spectrum, even when boosted by the 50% Arts buff. Nevertheless, she makes up for it with her ability to use it at least twice per match with her strong NP refund rate.
