New Tier List Placements

  • A new Servant is introduced during Fate/Accel Zero Lap 2! Their tier placement is detailed below.

4 Star Servants

Tier B

Diarmuid (Saber) brings solid Quick-type single target damage with an NP that removes defensive buffs (unfortunately after damage) and has a small chance of instant death. He also boasts high hit counts and strong base NP Gain, which enables him to synergize well with Quick Supports. He comes with an evade tied to a self Quick and ATK buff that last a single turn to bolster his offense and defense, with his second skill providing stars and an increase to his own star gather rate for critical performance. Finally, he has a self DEF and NP Gain buff that last for 3 turns, which both improves his durability and helps him unleash his Noble Phantasm more quickly. Among SR Sabers, he performs solidly and is an excellent pick particularly if Quick Support is available.

Tier List Movements

  • By courtesy of helpful feedback from the community, many Servants were brought up again for discussion for tier placements.
  • A summary of the Tier Movements for existing Servants is below; this includes all Servants that were brought up for discussion (even if they did not end up changing tiers).

5 Star Servants

Tier A -> B

BB (Summer)'s initial placement may have oversold her 50% NP Charge and unique skill / classing. In practice, her Moon Cancer class will rarely be the optimal pick, so bringing her when she is less optimal for damage will fall to whether she still brings substantial support to the team. Her primary means of support is the unique Faceless Moon skill, which locks cards dealt for three turns. It allows for interesting setups, but in most cases is not worth sacrificing a dedicated support slot, given the rest of her buff kit is relatively selfish. She has been adjusted down a tier.

Tier C -> C

Ereshkigal was considered alongside Altria (Lancer), and the general agreement was that they could both be considered at the same level, although Ereshkigal did not necessarily warrant a bump up. Instead, Altria Pendragon (Lancer) was opted for a bump down. Each of them is useful for different situations, with Altria (Lancer) performing better as a farmer, having essentially 50% NP charge + 20% NP refund due to the overcharge effect of her NP, while Ereshkigal provides more utility and party support (not to mention her outstanding Arts card), coming in handy for certain challenge quests.

Tier B -> C

(See Above entry for Ereshkigal) Altria Pendragon (Lancer) being a full tier above Ereshkigal when they are both great AoE choices for different situations was agreed to be unwarranted; their tier placements have been adjusted to match.

4 Star Servants

Tier A -> A+

Lancelot (Saber) has a strong capacity for sustained Arts Critical damage, lending to NP Refund in a way that is different from Yagyu Munenori's raw NP Gain buffs. Both Lancelot (Saber) and Yagyu Munenori are highly potent SR Arts Sabers, with Lancelot more concentrated on Crit Offense while Yagyu has a dash of Defensive capability in the form of ATK down debuffs. Lancelot (Saber) has been bumped to the same tier as Yagyu Munenori (A+) as a result.

Tier A -> B

Rama's current placement is somewhat dated, and while he is still an excellent Buster Crit Saber, in the wake of content shifting towards sustained damage across multiple turns, the bursty nature of his damage is somewhat less desirable. His damage is remarkable, particularly when an enemy has the [Demonic] trait, in which Rama can take advantage of his Supereffective damage modifier (namely during the Rashomon raids), although that event has long since passed. His tier placement has been bumped down to B.

1-3 Star Servants

Tier C -> D

Henry Jekyll & Hyde rely very heavily on their NP to increase their own performance. During the game's early life, having strong Card damage alone was decent enough to carry one through content, although nowadays there are many other Servants that can perform well without requiring the same amount of setup as Jekyll & Hyde. They have been bumped down a notch as of this time.
