Overview

  • Masters CANNOT use any party revives in this fight (neither Command Seals nor Saint Quartz), but Masters can charge NPs or restore health.
  • Battle Ends when Ibaraki is defeated, if 15 turns pass, or if the active party is defeated. Defeating the Oni Hands is optional (Oni Hands give additional drops upon defeat).
  • All drops and damage progress is kept regardless of success - but Masters may not receive all Experience, Bond Points or bragging rights.
  • Masters who select the “Give Up” option during the quest, will NOT keep any drops or Damage Points.
  • Equip The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh on the primary damage dealer.
  • Most Masters elect to MLB The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh as soon as possible.
  • Special note about Event Bonus ATK CEs and how they interact with Servant Trait Bonus damage:
    • Bonus damage from CEs stack ADDITIVELY with Servants who gain Bonus Damage vs. Traits via a buff (such as Jack the Ripper, Minamoto-no-Raikou, Tawara Touta). In-game, this is denoted by the text, "Apply Special Attack [Trait] to yourself." Bonus CEs are less effective on them.
    • Critical Damage buffs and NP Damage buffs belong to the same group of buffs and thus also stack ADDITIVELY with Event Bonus ATK CEs.
    • Bonus damage from CEs stack MULTIPLICATIVELY with: Servants whose NPs have supereffective damage vs. Traits (such as Rama, Gilgamesh, Nikola Tesla). In-game, this is denoted by the text, "Deal heavy/significant Special Attack damage to a single/all [Trait] enemy/enemies." Bonus CEs are more effective on them.
    • Attack Up/Defense Down (de)buffs and Card Performance buffs belong to a different group as well, and stack MULTIPLICATIVELY with Event Bonus ATK CEs.
  • Equip as many copies of Golden Captures the Carp Golden Captures the Carp on supporting Servants as possible, with the remaining slots filled out by Reciting the Subscription List Burning Tale of Love A Fox Night's Dream Oni Gourd drop bonus CEs.

Raid Battle Strategy

  • With the introduction of the 3,000,000 HP difficulty, and with Masters keeping their damage progress and drops in case they lose, Masters no longer need to battle the 6,000,000 HP variant of Ibaraki to comfortably clear the event (or be forced to fully use up all possible BP).
  • Considering that the 3,000,000 difficulty also rewards Masters with more drops per BP spent, more Bond Points/Experience per BP spent, and is considerably easier and faster, Masters instead should aim to create a team that absolutely destroy the Banana Oni with no mercy.
  • Veteran Masters should stack their strongest damage buffs on their main DPS with The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh and delete both Oni hands before bullying the poor Oni.
  • Strong Masters who run this event for the first time can borrow a powerful support with MLB Golden Captures the Carp from a veteran and start climbing the damage ladder with a powerful team.
  • New Masters should borrow a powerful damage Servant with MLB The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh from a veteran, and rely on that Servant while they climb the damage ladder.

Raid Battle Strategy

  • Due to all the new Servants, more variety and power in essential supports, and all the new Interludes/Rank Ups, Ibaraki damage onslaught can be survived much more easily.
  • In addition, she can be bursted down easier as well, as the new buffs have increased damage output tremendously compared to last year.
  • Most of the advice below actually pertains more to the 3.000.000 "Bullying the Oni" option, as that will be the variant most Masters will (should) farm.

Chaldea Combat Uniform
  • The Order Change skill is excellent for for bringing in a new Support Servants with more Critical Stars from Golden Captures the Carp and more damage buffs.
  • Together with its Attack Buff, it's generally the most powerful offensive option available and key to one-shotting the evil Banana.
  • Alternatively, Master can bring in taunt Servants to protect their main DPS from Ibaraki (useful for new Masters who rely on their friend support).
  • Lastly, Gandr is ideal for delaying Ibaraki's lethal power, and if stunned before she launches her NP, will also result in Ibaraki only being able to NP twice at most in the span of 15 turns..
Anniversary Blonde
  • The Mana Burst on Anniversary Blond scales exceedingly well with the Event Bonus ATK CEs.
  • The additional stars provided by Confident in Victory are just as important however, as a full Brave Chain full of crits is often enough to shut down the 2 BP version of Ibaraki.
  • However, survivability-wise, the guts on this Mystic Code is utterly unsuited for the fight, and will be removed by Ibaraki's NP to boot.
Atlas Academy Uniform
  • Some Masters, especially those who started late and need to make the most of their BP, may want to try to grind Ibaraki down over 15 turns in an Arts set up.
  • The combination of cooldown reduction and Invincibility are ideal for Arts teams as the better uptime of crucial buffs will ensure the party remains at a stable HP level.
Wave 1: 3 Drunken Citizen mobs
  • Gain as much NP Gauge as possible from the first wave of enemies. Do this by avoiding Buster card usage, always starting chains with Arts cards, and concentrating Brave chains on enemies with low health remaining.
  • NPs and skills that affect the next turn should be activated just before the last Drunken Citizen perishes, for example Merlin's Garden of Avalon or any Critical Star per Turn skill.
Wave 2: Ibaraki + Left and Right Oni Arms
  • On Day 6, the Left Oni Arm has a skill that can charge Ibaraki's NP gauge by 1. On any other day, their NPs will not sneak out pre-emptively and Masters can plan accordingly.
  • Ibaraki will almost always use her skills once she drops beneath 50% HP, and again beneath 25% HP. Masters can plan their damage such that they trigger her skill use, since using a skill means she won't attack for one of her two actions.
  • Concentrate on first taking out the Oni Arms, starting with the Left Arm (shorter NP bar).
  • Ibaraki will start attacking twice per turn, once at least one Oni Arm is dead. Defense buffs, Evade/Invincibility moves, and even Guts skills can be activated at this point to provide a safety net in case of unlucky crits from Ibaraki.
  • On Ibaraki’s NP turn, if Masters cannot stun, tank or otherwise postpone her NP, use Mystic Code: Chaldea Combat Uniform's Order Change to switch in a Taunt Servant to absorb the hit and protect the DPS Servant.
Buff Stacking
  • The goal of buff stacking is to quickly eliminate Ibaraki within a span of 1-3 turns by buffing one powerful damage Servant with as many buffs as possible.
  • The key buffs to improve performance are generally Attack Buffs, Defense Down, and Card Performance effects as they stack multiplicatively with the Event CEs.
  • Forcing Critical Hits via Golden Captures the Carp or other infusions of Critical Stars(Mozart!) is highly recommended as well.
  • Of course, NP Charging skills greatly speed up this preparation period.
  • Ideally, Masters charge NPs on the Drunken Citizen if necessary, or they can blow them up if they can unload enough damage without prior preparation.
  • Masters still eliminate the Oni Hands, but either do so with an AoE NP, or via basic Attacks.
  • Order Change is often essential to stack enough buffs.
  • Buster Servants are generally easiest to buff to extreme damage heights as their buff availability is strongest, and their criticals do the most damage.
  • To select the best buff Servant, both assess their total damage buff, but also how they stack together, for example:

  • A Sakata Kintoki (Rider) can boost his own Quick Performance by (50%+10%) on NP.
  • Boosting his Quick performance with Scathach (50%) will result in (60% + 50%) 110% boost to his Damage Peformance on NP.
  • However, adding a smaller Attack Buff will yield more Damage Performance, as Queen Medb's Attack buff (40%), will result in a (bonus 40% * 60%) 124% boost to his damage performance on NP.
  • For some more complicated combinations, consider using the Command Chain Calculator.
The Value of AoE Noble Phantasms
  • Getting rid of the Oni Hands can be a time consuming process, often it is faster to field both an AoE Servants and an ST Servant to unleash one devastating round of NPs.
  • The AoE Servant can be fielded with Golden Captures the Carp and often still does enough damage with type advantage.
  • AoE Servants with teamwide buff skills are great, Servants like Alexander, Shuten, Helena, Atalante, can all be used to great effect.
  • Low budget options are also powerful, with Arash providing impressive damage and opening up a new slot, while Spartacus is also a great option if stacked with enough bonus damage.
Selecting a primary DPS
  • Given that Ibaraki is a Berserker, many DPS options are viable in this encounter. However, there are a select few who are standouts.
  • Gilgamesh provides AoE damage with a trait bonus that stacks multiplicatively with Event Bonus CEs. With the abundance of Buster supports, he is a top pick.
  • Rama is a strong ST Buster DPS whose trait bonus also stacks multiplicatively with Event Bonus CEs, making him also a good choice, especially if he is greater than NP1.
  • Kintoki (Rider) fares very well an ST Quick DPS, being a strong F2P option.
  • Outside of those choices, some other options are listed under Quick Servant Suggestions
  • A ranking of Servants by how much they can deal to Ibaraki can be found here:

The following is a way for relatively newer Masters to reliably progress up to and through the Bullying the Oni Difficulty. It is written on the basis that they did not participate in the original run of the event, but completed Onigashima to obtain NP5 level 80 Kintoki (Rider). Kintoki (Rider) can be replaced, to some extent, with Chloe von Einzbern or Billy the Kid, but Ibaraki's damage taken will fall as a result of this. On the other hand, Arash will more easily be able to defeat Oni Arm's because Arash can take advantage of NP Chains to increase his NP modifier. Either way, Masters that follow this will be able to complete the Damage Point Reward List.

This guide is written with the following assumptions in mind:

  • Arash and Kintoki (Rider) are at their normal max level caps and have 1000 Attack Fou.
  • All Servants listed have level 10 skills for their relevant skills.
  • Mystic Code used is a level 10 Chaldea Combat Uniform.
  • Support Zhuge Liang is NP1.
  • Masters proceed through Parts 1 through 5 as written.

Part 1: Playing with the Oni

300K HP Ibaraki is not very difficult, so relying on a strong AoE NP support to OTKO Ibaraki is acceptable for this part. Do this 10 times to obtain the 1st Shana-oh CE.

Part 2: Exorcising the Oni

Field the following Servants in the order listed below. Top to bottom list corresponds to left to right in the Party Setup screen. Golden Sumo, Demonic Bodhisattva, and Shana-oh have been raised to 20 for the additional Attack stat

  • Arash (786 Attack MLB Golden Sumo OR 383 Attack regular Demonic Bodhisattva)
  • Shakespeare
  • Kintoki (Rider) (383 Attack regular Shana-oh CE)
  • Support Zhuge Liang (MLB Golden Carp)
  • Servant A (Any CE)
  • Servant B (Any CE, Reciting the Subscription List obtained from event is a good option)

Wave 1

Defeat the Drunken Citizens ASAP. This shouldn't take more than 2 turns at worst.

Wave 2

  • Use Shakespeare's Enchant, Chaldea Combat Uniform's Order Switch on Shakespeare for Zhuge Liang, Zhuge Liang's Discerning Eye on Kintoki (Rider), then all remaining relevant skills from Mystic Code, Arash, Kintoki (Rider), and Zhuge Liang.
  • Do a NP chain of Arash NP into Kintoki (Rider) NP
  • Arash's NP will do a minimum of 261604 or 318798 damage to Ibaraki and both Oni's Arms when Saber or Berserker class, depending on if Arash was using Golden Sumo or Demonic Bodhisattva, respectively. Against neutral class Oni's Arms, Arash will do a minimum of 131052 or 159649 if using Golden Sumo or Demonic Bodhisattva, respectively. In other words, Arash will guarantee defeat both Oni's Arms when they are Archer, Caster, Saber, and Berserker class with the described Golden Sumo, in addition to Assassin if using the described Demonic Bodhisattva.
  • Kintoki (Rider)'s NP will do a minimum of 807968 damage to Ibaraki, resulting in a defeated Ibaraki.

Repeat the Exorcising the Oni process until the 3rd Golden Carp CE is obtained with 20M Damage Points. Remember to equip these CEs as you obtain them to make things easier overall. The 1st Golden Carp CE can be equipped to Arash as soon as obtained, just remember that a Master will need to use Shakespeare's King's Men on Arash before Order Switching to Zhuge Liang if they choose to do this.

Part 3: Bullying the Oni 1.0

Field the following Servants in the order listed below. Top to bottom list corresponds to left to right in the Party Setup screen. The Golden Carp CE on Arash has been leveled to 20 for the additional Attack stat.

  • Arash (786 Attack regular Golden Carp)
  • Shakespeare (Golden Carp)
  • Kintoki (Rider) (383 Attack regular Shana-oh CE)
  • Support Zhuge Liang (MLB Golden Carp)
  • Servant A (Golden Carp)
  • Servant B (Any CE, Reciting the Subscription List obtained from event is a good option)

Wave 1

Defeat the Drunken Citizens ASAP. This shouldn't take more than 2 turns at worst.

Wave 2

  • Use Shakespeare's King's Men on Arash, Shakespeare's Enchant, Chaldea Combat Uniform's Order Switch on Shakespeare for Zhuge Liang, Zhuge Liang's Discerning Eye on Kintoki (Rider), then all remaining relevant skills from Mystic Code, Arash, Kintoki (Rider), and Zhuge Liang.
  • Do a NP chain of Arash NP into Kintoki (Rider) NP
  • Arash's NP will do a minimum of 422429 damage to Ibaraki and both Oni's Arms when Saber or Berserker class. Against neutral class Oni's Arms, Arash will do a minimum of 211464 damage. In other words, Arash will guarantee defeat both Oni's Arms when they are Archer, Caster, Assassin, Saber, and Berserker class.
  • Kintoki (Rider)'s NP will do a minimum of 1110712 damage to Ibaraki, for a combined minimum of 1533141 damage to Ibaraki.
  • Continue doing as much damage as possible to Ibaraki until a Master defeats Ibaraki, survives 15 turns, or is defeated by Ibaraki.

Repeat the Bullying the Oni 1.0 process until all Shana-oh CEs have been purchased, then MLB the Shana-oh CE. Assuming the Reciting the Subscription List obtained from the event has been used from the start, this will happen roughly by the time a Master obtains the Summoning Ticket at 40M Damage Points. In addition, equip any extra Golden Carp CEs obtained from Damage Points and drops. This writeup assumes only Damage Point sources, for 1 extra Golden Carp CE.

Part 4: Bullying the Oni 2.0

Field the following Servants in the order listed below. Top to bottom list corresponds to left to right in the Party Setup screen.

  • Arash (786 Attack regular Golden Carp)
  • Shakespeare (Golden Carp)
  • Kintoki (Rider) (383 Attack MLB Shana-oh CE)

  • Arash's NP will do a minimum of 482705 damage to Ibaraki and both Oni's Arms when Saber or Berserker class. Against neutral class Oni's Arms, Arash will do a minimum of 241602 damage. In other words, Arash will guarantee defeat both Oni's Arms when they are Archer, Caster, Assassin, Saber, and Berserker class.
  • Kintoki (Rider)'s NP will do a minimum of 1351127 damage to Ibaraki, for a combined minimum of 1833832 damage to Ibaraki.
  • Continue doing as much damage as possible to Ibaraki until a Master defeats Ibaraki, survives 15 turns, or is defeated by Ibaraki.

Repeat the Bullying the Oni 2.0 process until a 5th copy of Golden Carp is obtained at either 50M Damage Points or from drop. Once this happens, immediately MLB it, then equip it to Arash. This writeup will assume it has 786 Attack, at minimum, after it is MLB.

Part 5: Bullying the Oni 3.0

Field the following Servants in the order listed below. Top to bottom list corresponds to left to right in the Party Setup screen.

  • Arash (786 Attack MLB Golden Carp)
  • Shakespeare (Any extra Golden Carp CEs obtained, Ox-Demon King, or CE of choice)
  • Support Zhuge Liang (MLB Golden Carp)
  • Kintoki (Rider) (383 Attack MLB Shana-oh CE)
  • Servant A (Any extra Golden Carp CEs obtained, or CE of choice)
  • Servant B (Any extra Golden Carp CEs obtained, or Gourd drop boosting CE of Choice)

Wave 1

The first noticeably different thing for Wave 1 from the previous instances is that Zhuge Liang must charge 10% NP gauge before using Arash's and Kintoki (Rider)'s NP in Wave 2. Ideally this is done in Wave 1, but spending an extra turn in Wave 2 is not a big deal.

Wave 2

Assuming that Zhuge Liang obtained the previously mentioned 10% NP gauge:

  • Use Shakespeare's King's Men on Zhuge Liang, Shakespeare's Enchant, Chaldea Combat Uniform's Order Switch on Shakespeare for Kintoki (Rider), Zhuge Liang's Discerning Eye on Kintoki (Rider), then all remaining relevant skills from Mystic Code, Arash, Kintoki (Rider), and Zhuge Liang.
  • Do a NP chain of Zhuge Liangr NP into Arash NP into Kintoki (Rider) NP
  • Arash's NP will do a minimum of 501541 damage to Ibaraki and both Oni's Arms when Saber or Berserker class. Against neutral class Oni's Arms, Arash will do a minimum of 251020 damage. In other words, Arash will guarantee defeat both Oni's Arms when they are Archer, Caster, Assassin, Saber, and Berserker class.
  • Kintoki (Rider)'s NP will do a minimum of 1650161 damage to Ibaraki, for a combined minimum of 2151702 damage to Ibaraki.
  • Continue doing as much damage as possible to Ibaraki until a Master defeats Ibaraki, survives 15 turns, or is defeated by Ibaraki.

Repeat the Bullying the Oni 3.0 process until the end of the event.

This setup is easily obtained for any Master in terms of Servants and CEs, and allows 3 slots for Gourd drop boosting CEs. The same assumptions regarding Servants are made as those listed in the Budget Setup #1 - For Masters that Missed the Original Run tab. The difficulty farmed will be Slaying the Oni.

Note: Keep in mind that doing the following will not satisfy the daily mission requirements of doing X amount of damage to Ibaraki, as damage for that is only tracked if Ibaraki is defeated or a Master's team survives the 15 turns against Ibaraki.

Setup #1 - Saber and Berserker class Oni's Arms

  • Mystic Code = Any that provides an Attack Up, Buster Up, or NP Damage Up. This guide will assume the Default Chaldea MC.
  • Arash (383 Attack MLB Shana-oh)
  • Shakespeare (Any CE)
  • Support Zhuge Liang (mlb Golden Carp)
  • Level 1 Servant A (Any CE)
  • Level 1 Servant B (Any CE)
  • Level 1 Servant C (Any CE)

Wave 1

Nothing special here, just brute force your way with regular cards. Shouldn't take more than 2 turns.

Wave 2

  • Use Shakespeare's King's Men on Arash, Default Chaldea's Instant Enhancement on Arash, Zhuge Liang's Discerning Eye on Arash, then the rest of the relevant skills from Arash, Shakespeare, and Zhuge Liang.
  • Arash's NPs will do a minimum of 428602 damage to all enemies. This will guarantee that the Saber and Berserker class Oni's Arms are defeated.

Setup #2 - Rider class Oni's Arms

  • Mystic Code = Chaldea Combat Uniform
  • Arash (786 Attack MLB Golden Carp)
  • Spartacus (383 Attack MLB Shana-oh)
  • Shakespeare (Any CE)
  • Support Zhuge Liang (mlb Golden Carp)
  • Level 1 Servant A (Any CE)
  • Level 1 Servant B (Any CE)

Wave 1

Nothing special here, just brute force your way with regular cards. Shouldn't take more than 2 turns.

Wave 2

  • Use Shakespeare's King's Men on Spartacus, Shakespeare's Enchant, Chaldea Combat Uniform's Order Change on Shakespeare for Zhuge Liang, Zhuge Liang's Discerning Eye on Spartacus, then the rest of the relevant skills from Arash, Spartacus, and Zhuge Liang.
  • Do a NP Chain of Spartacus NP into Arash NP.
  • Spartacus' and Arash's NPs will do a minimum of 274843 and 141143 damage to all enemies, respectively, for a total of 415986 damage to all enemies. This will guarantee that the Rider class Oni's Arms are defeated.
