Upcoming CCC Event Preparation

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Notice: The upcoming dates are based on recent NA announcements.

The upcoming month is going to be a pretty exciting one, with one of the most anticipated events: Fate/EXTRA CCC×Fate/Grand Order SE.RA.PH.

However, the event itself has a pretty steep entry barrier: Solomon completion.

It also has a number of bonus Servants that greatly boost the event drops - Servants that Masters ideally have prepared in advance or stocked up on experience for. Plus, some Masters may be worried about the event itself and how grindy/time consuming it actually is. For some reassurance and what to expect, read on!

Note: Spoilers are a-plenty here - don't read on if that's a problem.

What should I do to prepare?

The bonus Servants for this event are highly influential when it comes to farming. Rather than providing a damage boost, each Extra associated Servant listed above will grant a +1 bonus to the (single) event currency if they're fielded. New Servants such as Suzuka, BB, Melt, Passionlip and Kiara will grant +2 bonus instead. As such, preparing a good amount of experience and leveling all available bonus Servants is highly recommended. Luckily, all lower rarity Servants are also awesome Servants in their own right.

Note that Welfare Servant BB does need to reach her 3rd Ascension to complete all missions.  Ideally, have some experience ready, but there will be enough experience in the Event Shop.

What kind of Event is it?

CCC is a mission-based event. Progress through the event by completing missions - in particular missions that reward special tickets that you need to pass through the various (also time-based) roadblocks. In addition, it is an end-game event and will, as far as events go, be the hardest event yet just to regularly farm.

The Main Quests are also full of Shinjuku level encounters, with nasty favorites such as Break Bars, large waves of enemies and Extra class encounters. Oh boy!

How time consuming is it?

Very! But not in terms of AP per se. The event lasts for 24 (or so) days!

The main roadblock isn’t so much your AP, but the time spent completing the various missions. Consider it more a singularity than an event in itself. Furthermore, it is very easy to be confused as to where to complete missions, which quests to unlock (you can spend tickets to unlock more free quests rather than progress the main quests), and which CEs to use for each node.

Do not! And I repeat! Do not leave this event until the last day and attempt to rush it. It will generally not work out.

Masters who arrive to the event late should really try to apple through it and try to catch up.

Lastly, and this is a big slowdown for many, especially normally optimized farmers, the event CEs grant spawn bonus chance. It is possible to have up to 9 enemies per wave! Clearing that is time consuming even with Starting NP Gauge.

Should I roll the Gacha/Friend Gacha?

Each of the gacha CEs grant a spawn bonus to a particular subset of enemies, and this spawn bonus cannot be gained from the Event Shop. The Event Shop itself sells 5 CEs with a bonus to the single event currency that can drop - it is good to fill up empty spaces, but spawn bonus is generally preferred. Finally, the missions themselves have 5 copies of the spawn bonus CEs for a different mob type.

Masters would do well to spend their FP to gather a bunch of the 3* CE. It greatly eases the early sections of the event and remains useful to reduce the overall grind. It also is not substituted by the higher rarity CEs - they each affect a different variable. For the walkthrough we are creating, going in without a single Event CE is very doable, but will result in some more AP expenses and/or constantly resetting to gain access to an MLB gacha CE support.

The gacha CEs do make the event a quite a bit less grindy to play and, unlike Meiji Restoration, do have a large impact - even a single copy of each is noticeable.

That the banner features the first Alter Ego Servants is also quite a boon to many of you. We’ll share our thoughts on the class as a whole later - and in their upcoming writeups.

Can I clear it on Natural AP?

While we’re still mapping out the walkthrough, yes, I do think it’s likely that Masters who spend their AP optimally can finish the event with 100/100 missions done and the Event Shop cleared out. 24 days is a long period of time! If not, the walkthrough will make sure to state the rough amount of AP required.

Note that due to spawn bonuses, the required AP can vary quite a bit! The Event Shop is generally not hard to clear as Masters need to do a tremendous amount of quests just to complete all the missions.

Is there a Welfare Servant?

Yes! BB, our first and for a long time only Moon Cancer Servant. She’s pretty good, and actually counters Avenger-class Servants. A nice addition to the team, especially for those of you who have yet to blast through Shinjuku.

To unlock BB, complete the Main Quest, and then finish each Mission with copies of her Ascension Material and additional copies for NP Upgrades.

As you need to complete 90 missions for one of her Ascension Pieces….basically it's better to pretend everyone needs to do a 100/100 Mission completion of the Event.

Can I farm the event beyond the shop?

Yes! Especially Masters who have a whole bunch of Fate/Extra-related Servants. Essentially, Masters can convert the event currency to QP while farming some materials. The rates are decent enough for it to be a good farming choice.

As the drop rates are a bit complicated due to spawn bonus CEs, we'll have more to share on that as the event releases. This isn't really a farming event.

Guides we intend to provide:

For those of you familiar with the Prisma Codes Walkthrough, we will provide you with the same step-by-step experience. The event can be mapped out optimally, even considering the presence of spawn bonus CEs, and the walkthrough will take you all the way to 100 Missions completed without wasting AP.

We'll also provide a handy enemy locator (example from Prisma Codes), which will be especially useful to those of you who want to clear their way through via their own means. It will let you auto-sort the enemy you'd like to take out and where to find them.

Naturally, quest lists, shop contents, mission listing, etc. will be available as well.
