Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare - EMERGENCY BROADCAST

Here’s a first, Pilots! Bandai has sent us a message that seems to hint or tease an event we suspect is the upcoming Sokai Banner in GBGW. What we believe is happening, or what I believe, is that we’re going to be seeing Gundam Unicorn and Gundam Banshee entering a Sokai Banner, which tend to have higher stat weights than all other parts.

For a lot of fans, this is big news, and I am personally expecting these two Gunpla additions to be very powerful for many reasons.  I’m personally excited because my entire career in this game is bent around Haro Chip management and I’ve been saving some chips for a few hopefully lucky pulls on a very good banner.  This is that banner I’m going in on.

The hint, though, came in the form of a Twitter post that gives us very telling information that directly points to these two suits.

0096 is the year in Universal Century which the anime took place, Anaheim Electronics is the listed manufacturer of both units, and they are two of only three Gundams with full Psychoframe armors.  Lastly, they are both intended specifically to be piloted by Newtypes. 

This could also mean that we have a Universal Century Event on the horizon to pair with this banner, because lately we have had a good deal of UC-focused Events where Gunpla from this timeline received Event bonuses or were debuted.  Those Gunpla are included among the likes of Delta Plus and Rozen Zulu, and we could see something exciting like Sinanju, Kshatriya, or even something else.

I don’t really want to count my chickens before they’ve hatched… But you have to admit, it looks pretty likely that we’re getting Unicorn and Banshee with the new Sokai Banner (because these are Sokai material, easily) on Tuesday, October 29th.
