Today is a great day for me. I’m a big fan of both Tallgeese and Victory, and naughty me I’ve already taken a look at some of the parts. So, unlike the usual, this won’t be as first impressions as usual, and I’ll already know what’s coming up for some of these. Like the beam saber. God bless that beam saber.

This week we got 770 Haro Chips, and here’s how:

  • 100 - Login Bonus
  • 140 - Daily Achievements
  • 150 - Event Login
  • 210 - Mission Completion
  • 170 - Arena Participation

Let’s set up some ground rules so you know exactly what to expect and how you should be treating this!

This is entirely my opinion, but I will do my best to justify my opinion and explain to you why I feel a certain way. Typically I try to rate a Part based on how it changes the game. For instance, an SS tier Part one banner may be rated as only S tier the next, because it doesn’t have as big of an impact as it did before. In other words, Supply vs Demand.

Do not pull on the banner hoping for a single Part. It’s 0.2% for a single Part, which is 50x 10-pulls or 500 pulls. In terms of real money, that’s 5,400 USD.

SS is considered meta defining, S is meta, A is great, B is average, C is below average, D is considered well below average, and F is awful. Parts are compared to all other Parts as a whole and on how well they synergize with other Parts. This means a 4* and a 3* would be compared to everything as low as a 1* to as high as other 4*s.

There are some notations which aren’t immediately obvious:

An EX Skill with D/B at 21/6 CD means it has a D in Power, B in Piercing, a 21 second cooldown, and it’s available for use 6 seconds after the match starts.

All stats, letters, and numbers are at Max Value.

With all of that out of the way, let’s get right into the new banner and what we’re looking at this week!

This week is a normal banner, which means it will be going to Standard Gunpla Parts Capsule 2 when the week is up.

Banner Grade: C+

Summary: This banner has a 1% (3.33%) chance of drawing something above average, and a 0.6% (1.99%) chance of drawing something of great value or higher.

Some of the Parts here are just really fantastic, but to be honest there’s a lot of really average Parts and there’s a lot of interesting ideas that don’t work. The Saber, which could complete a lot of builds, is easier to get through the free 4*, and still doesn’t make such a difference that I personally would waste my free 4* on that.

I would skip.

Prime Pool percentages are in parenthesis

Tallgeese

gunplaTallgeese

Head: B-

Alright, based Head with above average stats and a below average Part Trait. The main weakness here is how the Word Tags hold it back, which I’m guessing will be a theme.

Chest: B+

Strangely monstrous Attack stats matched with relatively above average stats and a poor Part Trait and Word Tags. It’s pretty good, but it’s not exactly a game changer.

Arms: S-

Wowzers I think this is the first 4* Expansion Part (don ‘t quote me on that) and WHAT A PART! That absolutely devastating 3,587 M.Atk and above average stats all around places PLUS boasting a solid A/D 60/15s CD EX Skill makes this very high among all Arms in the game. However, it’s difficult to fit into a build due to its Word Tags, which are doubled because it’s an Expansion.

Legs: B+

Sitting at 2 M.Atk higher than Shining Legs, these Legs have the highest M.Atk of all. Its stats are pretty average asides from that, but its Part Trait and Word Tags are not great.

Backpack: A-

The Backpack has a fantastic Buff EX Skill time up 22% with Speed offsets the average stats and below average Word Tags. It’s still not mind blowing, but I would like to draw this Part from the Standard Capsule.

Dober Gun: A

Dober Gun has above average and balanced Resistances, both at 420 blaze it. While 3,587 is above average for guns, it’s nothing special given they get over 4,000. However, the Part Trait boosts Beam Magazine by 20%, which could pair really devastatingly with Sp. Shot Builds.

Aesthetics: A+

It’s yo boi Tallgeese. Naturally, this not only synergizes with a lot of Parts due to its inoffensive shape, but the Arms look absolutely stunning on almost any build.

Victory Gundam

gunplaVictoryGundam

Head: C

Well below average stats, vulcans, and the Protag. Word Tag saves it from dropping any lower it rank. Aw geez Bamco. I-I dunno, I don’t think spamming vulcan heads is really necessary, y’know?

Chest: B+

The Victory Gundam Chest is an extremely intriguing piece. It works wonderfully with a lot of the better guns, boosting EX Skill Piercing by 28% with Rifle equipped, which is especially impressive for Dober Gun and melee gunpla. The stats are average asides from that.

Arms: S-

1,028 Physical Resistance and 3,997 P.Def is really impressive, however this is all situational and we don’t have any content that lets us really re-equip for situations. That said, the M.Atk is almost as high as Tallgeese’s, and its EX Skill, Vertical Slash, is an A/D 21/3 which reduces B.Res by 39%, making this an all around solid Part.

Legs: B-

These are some strange Legs, as they increase Close Shot by 20% when you have a Rifle equipped, meaning if you like to melee and gunsling at the same time, this Part at least PARTially facilitates that. However, as basically anybody with experience in this game can tell you, hybrid builds aren’t great and you’re better off specializing. The biggest problem here is that they don’t work well on Mid Shooters, who are basically the short range gunners, because they make optimal range Mid Range. Woops.

Backpack: B

While Tallgeese’s backpack increases Buff Time, Victory Backpack increases Debuff Time by 22%. Asides from that, the stats don’t really stand out much.

Beam Saber [Victory]: S

Ahhh here we go! Currently the strongest Saber in the game, by far, sitting at 3,997 M.Atk and a whopping 30% Crit Rate to Strong Melee Attacks with Technique attribute. Pretty huge standout here, and I really hope they release more Sabers along this power level given guns have been here for a long time...since the beginning, in fact.

R. Weapon: C+

Beam Ranged reload speed is pretty nice...on a gun with good S.Atk. This weapon is absolutely pathetic when you compare it to not only everything else on the banner, but guns in general, even Event Guns.

Aesthetics: B+

Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten to the part of the story where Victory becomes an angel in gundam form and is prepared to make all the other gundams sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Still, it’s a generally basic design that lets it fit in anywhere.

pilotsChangEmma

AI Pilots Chang Wufei (4*) and Emma Sheen (3*)

Banner Grade: C

Below average pilots with below average roles in their respective stories. Pretty on point, to be honest. Don’t bother.

Chang Wufei: C

I finally figured out how he lost in a duel against Treize. This guy has pretty lame stats and an essentially non-existent Part Trait, which is another flat bonus. Additionally, his Word Tags are really confused given his License. I don’t know what they were thinking when they made Chang.

Emma Sheen: C

With a mere 889 S.Atk and a Part Trait that increases Debuff EX EX Skill times by 15%, you’d think she was a Support. You’d think wrong. This Mid Shooter is also pretty lame.
