Hello Pilots! Scubasage back again with another event review! We finally have another event with repeat event parts, so it's gonna be a long review today. Let's get into it shall we?
Average stats and 1700 Shot ATK, Ace Exclusive and Mid-Range word tags, and an Awakening skill that boosts speed by 20% and Melee ATK by 29%. The only reason this doesn't get an F is the word tags on it, which are fairly good for Shooters. I'd grab a copy if you need an Ace Exclusive Head, but it's really not very good at all.
Average stats all around, Ace Exclusive and Mid-Range word tags, and a trait that boosts Shooting Power by 25% when using a Technique Attribute suit. This part is amazing, and the only reason it isn't an S is because of what slot it takes up, that of the Torso, meaning it competes with the Crossbone X1 Torso. Grab this and max it out, it will very quickly rise to S if something better than the X1 ever comes around in a different slot.
Average stats, 1700 Melee ATK, Ace Exclusive and Mid-Range word tags, and a trait that gives a 12% chance of penetrating Super Armor. Like the Head, the only reason this doesn't get an F is the word tags, making this a poor, but usable, option for Shooters. If you need Ace Exclusive Arms, grab a single copy, but otherwise skip this as it's pretty bad.
Average stats, Ace Exclusive and For Urban Area word tags, and a trait that reduces EX Skill Cooldown by 15% when your armor is 70% or less. Same deal as the Arms and the Head. Grab if you need Ace Exclusive legs, otherwise skip.
Exact same stats and tags as the Legs, except for swapped RES stats. The trait here boosts Mid-Shot ATK by 14% when attacking with Physical. This is the best of the bunch of "use for Ace Exclusive", if only because the trait may sometimes be relevant, but it's not a good one either. Same deal as the rest, grab a copy if you need, otherwise skip.
Average stats, a decently high 2298 Melee ATK, Ace Exclusive and For Urban Area word tags, and a filler EX Skill. Like most of these pieces, this would be an F if it wasn't for the Ace Exclusive tag. Grab a copy if you need an Ace Exclusive melee weapon, otherwise skip.
Average stats, a decently high 2298 Shot ATK, Ace Exclusive and Mid-Range word tags, and a trait that boosts your reload speed by 20%. This is probably the best of the "would be F if not for Ace Exclusive" pieces, if only because it also has Mid-Range and high enough Shot ATK to potentially see use thanks to Marks. It's still not very good, though.
So the Ryusei-Go is pretty weak overall, being mostly terrible parts with a good primary word tag, but it does have at least one fantastic part. Next, let's look at some of the older blueprint parts, shall we? First up, Age 1 Normal.
Average stats all around, Mid-Range and Gundam Type word tags, and Combat Stance (A) as the EX Skill. This used to be, alongside the Tallgeese II and Mobile SUMO Heads, one of the best Heads in the game in the old Arena meta, though it's fallen out of favor. If you happen to have a lot of excess material, though, I'd pick this up.
Average stats across the board, Mid-Range and Gundam Type word tags, and a trait that boosts Strong Melee Power by 25% against For Computer Enemies, which is a terrible, low value, and rarely active trait. Hard pass.
Average stats except for the super low 893 Melee ATK, Mid-Range and Gundam Type word tags, and a trait that boosts Melee damage by a flat 20 when Armor is 40% or less. Terrible trait coupled with bad stats and mediocre tags? Hard pass.
Average stats, Mid-Range and Protag word tags, and a bad Pierce based filler EX Skill. Just use the Artemis Legs. Pass.
Same as the Legs, except it trades a bad EX skill for a bad trait, one that boosts Shooting damage by a flat 20 when armor is 60% or more. Hard pass.
Bottom tier 1146 Shot ATK, Mid-Range and Protag word tags, and an amazing trait that boosts Initial EX Skill Cooldown by 12% when using a Power Attribute suit. Grab this and max it out if you haven't already, it is super meta right now for Melee suits in Arena.
Some defensive stats, Mid-Range and Gundam Type word tags, and a trait that boosts Buff EX Skill Effect by 15% when using a Power Attribute suit. This is a mainstay of the old meta and could become meta again, so if you have spare material, this is an option to pick up.
Like most event suits, Age Normal is mostly trash with a couple of amazing standouts. Next up, Rozen Zulu.
Average stats with a stupidly low 558 Shot ATK, Zeon and Ace Exclusive word tags, and a trait that boosts Mid-Shot ATK by 14% when using an Out-Fighter Job License. Unfortunately, Ace Exclusive can't save this piece, hard pass.
1433 Armor, 558 Melee ATK, 291 Shot ATK, Zeon and Ace Exclusive word tags, and a trait that reduces Sp. Shot damage taken by a flat 20 when using a Technique Attribute suit. This is actually quite solid for both Melee and Shooters. 558 Melee is no joke in this slot, and 291 + Ace Exclusive is also pretty solid, though with the Ryusei-Go existing this has a lot less reason to be used. Still, it's there to pick up a single copy of if you need it.
1991 Melee ATK, 0 Shot ATK, and some low defenses, Zeon and Ace Exclusive word tags, and a filler EX Skill. This only just barely misses out on the F because for Shooters it has Ace Exclusive and for Melee users it gives a decent alternative to the Artemis Arms that don't take up your shield slot. These are not good, however, and only just barely avoid the F.
Average stats, Zeon and High Firepower word tags, and a bad trait that boosts Shooting Crit by 17% when Armor is 40% or less. The tags are mediocre, the stats are low, and the trait is worthless, skip these.
Identical stats and tags to the Legs, but instead of a bad trait this comes with a very interesting and unique EX Skill. The EX Skill stuns an enemy when you use it, locking them down. It's not currently meta, but this is a unique enough effect that it could very easily become meta.
It's a shield, it has some stats, Zeon and High Firepower tags, and a bad filler EX Skill. Mostly a pass, but if you need a shield with the tags, it exists.
Rozen Zulu is pretty rough, but the Back is interesting at least. Next up in the list, the Hyaku Shiki
Average stats, 1999 Shot ATK, Commander and High Mobility word tags, and Head Vulcans. Pass.
Average stats, Commander and High Mobility word tags, and a bad trait that reduces Melee damage taken by a flat 20 when the enemy is Ace Exclusive. Pass.
Average stats, Commander and Ace Exclusive word tags, and a filler EX Skill. These are basically interchangeable with the Ryusei-Go Arms, just Speed type and with 294 instead of 291 Shot ATK. Grab these if you need Ace Exclusive arms, but otherwise skip em.
Average stats and a high 559 Shot ATK, Commander and Ace Exclusive word tags, and a trait that reduces Shot Spread by 15% when using Bazookas. The draw to these is the 559 Shot ATK that's on par with a lot of Sokai parts, as well as Ace Exclusive as a word tag. If you don't have good general purpose Shooter legs, grab a copy of these.
Average stats, Commander and For Space word tags, and a great trait of boosting Shooting Power by 25% when fighting an Ace Exclusive enemy. This is a very strong trait to fight against enemy Shooters in Arena, that often will have Ace Exclusive enemy even when it's not an Ace Exclusive restriction Arena. If you can, grab this and max it out, it's effectively a Nadleeh back for Attributes other than Speed.
Bad 1433 Melee ATK, Commander and For Space word tags, and a bad filler EX Skill, these would normally be an easy F except for the Commander tag being somewhat rare in this slot, being only one of two weapons in the game to feature that. So if that's something you're looking for grab one, otherwise this is trash.
A super strong 2598 Shot ATK, Commander and Mid-Range word tags, and a trait that boosts EX Skill Power by 25% when attacking with Beam, this gun is amazing. Grab it and max it out if you can, it's a super versatile weapon for both Melee and Shooters (assuming you have the marks to boost it up).
A super strong 2598 Shot ATK, Commander and Mid-Range word tags, and a filler EX Skill. This is a worse version of the GN Bazooka from last week, but it's still okay if you missed out on that and really want to use a Bazooka.
So the Hyaku Shiki is pretty spicy, actually, in terms of what's usable. Whew, that's a lot of parts, but that's the week's review for you all, I'll see you all next time.
