Welcome back, Pilots!  At this point we can safely say that every Sunday at 11:00pm EDT (8:00pm PDT and 3:00 GMT Monday) we can expect the new batch of upcoming event information to drop in official form.  Each week, I'll be there to deliver that preview for you, so that you can prepare for the great stuff on the way!  So just lean back and buckle up, and get ready for another (colony) drop of info!

NEW EVENT: THE MOBILE SUIT BEARING A GUNDAM'S FACE

event2

That's a title that's hard to say fast.  Give it a try; its like a public speaker's nightmare.  Not a moment of lost sleep for you, though!  We see a return of the 400 and 600% featured part bonuses for the new banner suits (more on those later), as well as the returning 15% per part bonus for the current and previous event suits.   All event bonuses will again be on a per part basis, meaning that you can stack bonuses per part on all three of your suits for a maximum bonus cap of 600%.  This week, like last week, is based around maximizing coin drops, further giving support that Sokai Events may be based off points, instead.

This particular event is focused more on Zeta-era suits, and is featuring the Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel w/ Optical Sensor Unit]. You can pick up the parts for this sweet suit in the event shop, as well as the Shield Booster, Enhanced Shield Booster, and the Beam Rifle [Gundam TR-1 Advanced Hazel].  This suit has me pumped, mainly because currently I'm really into the big backpacks of all varieties, and if this backpack fires explosives, I'm game.  Overall the suit is really just a grunt (MK-II) with a Gundam head, but has a lot of parts of an unknown nature that could provide us with some interesting Part Traits, or synergies for new builds.  I've got my eyes on you, Shield Boosters.  Besides, it looks really great and is gonna make a lot of you builders happy, in that area.

Bonus suits this time around are as follows:

  • 600% Bonus - Gundam Earthree (all parts)
  • 400% Bonus - Gundam Legilis (all parts)
  • 30% Bonus - Zeta Gundam (all parts), Qubely (all parts)
  • 15% Bonus - Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel w/ Optical Sensor Unit] (all parts), Delta Plus (all parts), Hyaku Shiki (all parts)
  • 10% Bonus - Rick Dias [Quattro Bajeena Colors] (all parts), Gundam MK-II [A.E.U.G. Design and Titan's Design] (all parts), Palace Athene (all parts), GM II (all parts)

NEW PILOTS: HAMAN KARN AND YAZAN GABLE

pilots2

THIS TIME, IT'S TIME TO VIOLATE!  This one has me sort of excited.  I'm super glad to see Yazan Gable here, even if only for the memes.  Yazan is one of the Titans famous aces from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.  I'd expect this guy to be pretty aggressive, but they threw me for a major loop with Kamille last time, so I'm pretty hesitant to really assume.  Yazan clocks in at a 3* rarity, so he could either be a diamond in the rough or entirely useless, but we've gotten two Pilots of similar rarity lately that were surprisingly great.  Gimme this guy with a melee License and you've got my attention.  Very, very surprised that he's not going to be a 4* Pilot.

Haman Karn, the main antagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, is our 4* rarity Pilot.  Fairly notorious in the canon material and clearly something a fan favorite (judging from reactions when announced), this could be a really exciting bet.  I'd be especially happy if we can finally get a Long Shooter worth her salt to give Amuro some competition in that specific License category.  We need some good Long Shooters, and you can't convince me otherwise, at this point.  Not enough!

!!NEW BANNER SUITS APPROACHING!! GUNDAM LEGILIS AND GUNDAM EARTHREE

banner2

This banner... entirely threw me for a loop.  I was expecting something like Blue Frame Astray, or something... else?  BUT! We're here now and Legilis is first on the menu.  This is one interesting Gundam, and first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.  I don't know about anyone else, but I am seriously into these AGE series of Gundams; the aesthetics are just bang-on.  I expect some serious shooter love from this Gundam, as in source material it comes equipped with some pretty serious beam funnels that are housed in the shield (which is listed in the banner), and some other equally serious ranged armaments.  I'm hoping this suit in particular is just the hottest fire.

The second featured suit of the banner is more of a questionable number; Gundam Earthree.  This is the mobile suit used by the main protagonist of the yet-unreleased anime Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE.  From what I've found about this particular suit is that it is one of three modes used by the main unit, the Core Gundam.  Depending on the situation, it can assume these forms to change up it's abilities and armaments on the fly and adapt to a myriad of situations.  Earthree seems like it may very well be a suit that finally leans toward a balanced build, because its canon counterparts are both very much focused toward melee and ranged, respectively.  The look itself is very edgy, and will likely mesh very nicely with some current fashion bot builds around the game.

(Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise premiers on the 10th of October 2019, so be sure to watch!)

ARENA CHANGES? NO CHANGES? MAYBE CHANGES!

arena2

Today the recent Arena League has ended, and we've entered Arema Time No 5.  This is business as usual and shouldn't be expected as any different.  However, last week we reported that SUMO would be leaving the Arena Store to make way for Strike Rouge, yet SUMO still persists.  Why is this?

Recently there were a series of login issues for the game, including but not limited to an inability for IOS users to login for a period of 26+/- hours.  As such, SUMO has been extended in the Arena Store and will be removed at a later date that has not been explained as a specific time, quite yet.  Additionally, you may have noticed that the Anti-Beam Shield belonging to the Strike Rouge is absent from the shop, and the Combine Shield has also not appeared.  The former, quite honestly, I have no idea.  This shield was reported to come with the suit and never showed, and Bandai has released no statement concerning the matter.  Combine Shield could likely be an addition for next week, as that is the middle of October, and should be reasonably within the specified time.

And that Strike Rouge?  I'm a fan.  If we can get more suits like this in shops that are easy to obtain, then we're gonna have some good times ahead for some spicy builds.

We'll see you all next week with another Weekly Event Digest, so be sure to catch it!
