Introduction
Explorers! This Weekly Event feature celebrates Thanksgiving! This is the exact same event we had a year ago, but much has changed in the game since. Each set provides some great options, so let's go over what we recommend to dart as well as everything else you need to know!
Featured Creatures: Commons
Monday - Tuesday: 18 Attempts
- Deinocheirus (Global Anytime)
- Phorusrhacos (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk)
Neither really stands out as far as commons go. You might put your priority to be Phorusrhacos due to the limitation to a local and only parts of the day. If your goals include Legendary Phorusaura and/or the new hybrid, Velosrhacos, it's going to cost you a plethora of Phorusrhacos. You can find Deinocheirus everywhere, all the time. However, if Diloracheirus is in your plans, there's no major reason you shouldn't go this route.
Featured Creatures: Rares
Wednesday - Thursday: 18 Attempts
- Erlikosaurus Gen 2 (Global Anytime)
- Kelenken (Event Exclusive)
- Ornithomimus (Battle Exclusive)
It is first important to note here that this week, we only get TWO DAYS for our Rare attempts. Make sure you finish before reset on Friday, you don’t want to miss out on these opportunities!
If you read these regularly, you already know our first recommendation will be to not use your attempts on Erlik2. We always emphasize exclusivity, and your other options both fall in to this rule of thumb.
Of the two, we lean heavier toward Kelenken, as Event Exclusive is actually more exclusive than Battle Exclusive. If you are opening battle incubators regularly, you should be receiving a nice amount of Ornith. Events like this week are the only time you currently have access to Kelenken. Neither's current hybrid stands out, so you may as well stockpile DNA or consider leveling the base for qualifying Rare tournaments.
Featured Creatures: Epics
Friday - Saturday: 6 Attempts
- Erlikosaurus (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk)
- Procerathomimus (Event Exclusive)
The choices here are fairly underwhelming, and using our standard, we would suggest targeting Event Exclusive Procer ("Yoshi"). Even if you have maxed yours, there is still future possibility of a hybrid. It wouldn't be the worst idea to stockpile some extra DNA. However, if you are working on Erlidominus, there's no reason not to use your attempts on Erlik (you're going to need a lot!).
Featured Creatures: Legendary/Unique
Sunday: 1 Attempt (at each)
- Phorusura
- Diloracheirus
A rare opportunity at some dartable Legendary AND Unique DNA - don't miss out on your single attempt at each! Pho lost much appeal due to 2.2 nerfs, but like Yoshi, a future hybrid isn't out of the possibilities. Dilora may not be the greatest in the arena, but it proves to be an outstanding Raid creature.
Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!
Strike Events & Trials
Strike Events and Trials are also Thanksgiving Themed, so you can expect to get the same DNA as the Featured Creatures from them. On Friday, we have another Epic Strike featuring Sonorasaurus.
Over the Weekend, we'll also get an Epic Trial. On Sunday we have an Epic Thanksgiving Strike. Finally, we've got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Tuesday (Attack), Thursday (HP), and Saturday (Speed).
The trials this week will guarantee a Goat emote as part of the prize. Baaahhhhhh!!!!!
Scents
The Themed Scent of this week is Thanksgiving Scent. This scent can draw any of the Common, Epics, and Rares we have the opportunity to dart this week. Here is a recap of the full list:

Treasure Chase
The treasure chase continues on Saturday & (hopefully) Sunday. You get once chance each for between 500 and 2,500 coins with distance not mattering. It has been confirmed that their intent is only for one pop per day. We can only hope they have plans to eventually change this to the original treasure chase where they refreshed throughout the day and offered much more opportunity at free coins.
Hybrid Pursuit
This Week begins the Edaphocevia pursuit, so keep your eyes out for Inostrancevia!
