Introduction

Explorers! Jurassic World Alive has received Patch 2.6, and GamePress has everything you need to know about it! As always we have compiled all the information into specific articles, so you can focus on what you need to know! Below you will find the full list of articles:

For this article, we are going to discuss the exciting addition of epic donations and some other changes to alliance donations.

Changes to Donations

There have been some changes to Requesting DNA and Donating DNA within your alliance. The biggest one is the number of times you can request creatures. They increased the cooldown time between requests, BUT you can now request 3-4 times a day as they removed the daily limit:

Requesting DNA

  • Cooldown on requests have gone from 3 hours to 6 hours
  • Removed the daily limit on request (was previously limited to 2 requests/day). This means you can now request 3-4 times per day.

This is actually pretty exciting as you should be able to gain more DNA from donations throughout the day since you can request more often. This could also really help alliances with members from all over the globe in various time zones as they should all be able to donate at various times.

The other change is when you are donating DNA. The donated amount now scales to player level and you can only donate to each person twice (instead of the usual 5 times). They also, however, scaled the amount of DNA you donate to allow you to still donate the "maximum amount" in those 2 donations.

Donating DNA

  • The amount players can donate now scales based on their Player Level (it used to scale based on the amount of DNA requested)
    • This means more consistent numbers: players always donate the same amount
  • Can donate up to 2 times per different request (was previously 5)
  • The amount of DNA players can donate per donation has been adjusted so that the total amount that could be donated remains the same
    • We did this so that it takes fewer taps to donate the maximum since a large portion of the player population donate until they’ve hit the max.
  •  Donating Rare DNA now gives slightly more coins: It went from 3 to 4 coins/DNA

These changes are both good and bad in my opinion. It is nice that you don't have to click 5 times to donate the maximum amount, but it also means you need to have more DNA to actually donate. Sometimes people only have 40 DNA of a rare creature and they won't be able to donate until they have 50 (since 100 is the max for rare).

Overall, I think the donation changes are good, however, and hopefully means the alliance being able to help each other out even more.

Epic Donations

We have been asking for Epic Donations for a long time now and we finally have it! On Sundays, players will now be able to request epic creatures from their alliance mates including hybrids! Here are all the details on it:

  • Every Sunday, players can request DNA in their Alliance for 1 Epic creature
    • Start: Sunday morning at midnight
    • Ends: Monday at 6AM
  • Uses local time
  • This means that it's possible if an Alliance is spread over multiple time zones, that players will start to see DNA Requests from Alliance mates but cannot request them for themselves just yet.
  • The Request button will show an orange header "Epic DNA"
  • Players can request a non-epic creature if they want to. If they do so, they can still request an Epic assuming it's still Sunday
  • If players do not request Epic creatures in the allowed timeframe, the Epic request window is closed. It cannot be done later in the week, nor can they be accumulated/stacked.

Donating:

  • Players can donate to multiple Epic requests. No limit on donations.
    • Note: The existing limit on coins received from donating is still in place, but the limit is quite high and scales by player level.
  • For every Epic DNA donated, receive 20 coins.
  • Players will receive a push notification at 8 AM every Sunday to remind you.

We are so excited about this feature. This will especially help out newer players trying to build their teams. If they are in alliances with a lot of seasoned veterans that have epic DNA to spare, this will be a great way for them to get DNA. Don't forget about the continental creatures either. Sanctuaries and requests are the only way you will be able to get the DNA for the creatures in the parts of the world you do not live in.

Parting Words

Overall, we are pretty excited about this part of the new patch. Hopefully, my alliance members need Carbonemys and Pteranadon because I have plenty of that to give! Our discord should be talking about the new patch all day so if you want to join in on the convo, come check us out!
