Introduction and Infographic

Explorers! It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Epic Strike! This time, we got the Epic Alanqa Strike swooping in. These three defensive birds all have a big Health pool, a vast array of Shields and a lot of Swap in Action going on. Let’s see how we can beat them! Let’s start by using this awesome infographic made by our Artist Orange Rex to get to know our opponents!

As you can see, these birds have loads of swapping options and Swap in Abilities, all involving Shields. All have large Health pools and Superiority Strike to destroy any speedster attempting to take them on. So we have to find another method of taking them down. Let’s start the analysis!

Hatzegopteryx

The common bird is the easiest of the three to manage. Low Attack and only two moves make it the easiest of the three to deal with. Superiority Strike and Impact and Run are annoying though, especially if you don’t have an Immune dinosaur! Swap in Defense give this bird a nice Shield to complement its large Health pool, allowing it to survive hits longer. It’s Speed is at a point where it’s nicely in the middle of everything, but this dinosaur has Superiority Strike to have Speed control. A tricky bird to take on, even if it is the easiest! Our Battle Simulator doesn’t do well with all the swapping, but we will show you what counters it has for these birds regardless. Here are some counters to Hatzegopteryx in an equal level 1v1 situation!Hatzegopteryx full body image

Arambourgiania

This Rare bird is similar to Hatzegopteryx, having High Health, low Attack and sharing two moves. The bonus it has is that its Swap in Ability is Swap in Invincibility instead of Swap in Defense, and it has a Short Defense added to its kit! This one swaps in more safely against non Defense Shatterers, but will use similar attacks as Hatzegopteryx. Another tricky dinosaur to oppose! Our Battle sim has some counters to Arambourgiana, check them out here!Aram full body

Alanqa

The final bird and star of the show, Alanqa is a bit different from the previous birds. It trades in some Health in exchange for more Attack and Speed. Its moves are also different, having Rampage and Long Invincibility instead of Impact and Run and Short Defense! This Epic bird is one of the strongest non-hybrids in the game according to us at GamePress, bringing a lot of utility to the table. With its Rampage, it’s also able to dish out some major damage, especially against creatures without Armor! Be careful against this one!Alanqa full body

Strategy

These birds cannot pierce Armor. So if you want to be safe, bring some creatures with Armor. The Rhinos in particular are useful, because of the easy Shield potential, high Armor stats and Definite Rampage to remove the Shields that the birds put up. We also believe that these birds will swap a lot, and we think we have a good solution to this. Whenever they swap in, they activate their Swap in Abilities, putting up Shields. They won’t do any damage that turn. This turn is perfect to hit them with a big Defense Shattering or Rending Attack. If you have Allosaurus G2 and Marsupial Lion unlocked and at a level where they can survive a hit from these birds, you can twoshot them with relative ease. You’ll have to beware of Alanqas Rampage though, that one will screw up this strategy. Hit them with a Defense Shattering or Rending Attack whenever you can! Some useful dinosaurs that have these are:

Common: Allosaurus, Brontotherium, Tarbosaurus

Rare: Elasmotherium, Tyrannosaurus Rex G2, Marsupial Lion, Baryonyx G2, Entelodon

Epic: Brontolasmus, Allosaurus G2, Thylacotator, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Baryonyx, Secodontosaurus

Legendary: Spinonyx, Tyrannolophosaur, Allosinosaurus, Tryostronix, Indoraptor G2, Ardontosaurus

Unique: Trykosaurus, Indoraptor, Tenontorex, Thoradolosaur, Grypolyth

Rewards

If you beat this Strike Event you’ll be rewarded with the Alanqa Epic Incubator! In it you will find 200 guaranteed Alanqa DNA on top of the regular Epic Incubator rewards. These Epic Incubator rewards are coins and DNA whose amounts vary depending on your player level.

This Strike Event is quite easy due to these birds swapping so much and allowing you to damage them. Hit them with Defense Shattering and Rending attacks whenever possible, and tank their hits with Armor! Tell us how you did in our Discord server! We hope to see you on there!
