JWA Value List Part 1

Introduction

When it comes to gathering DNA, the creatures that you are most likely to go after are the nonhybrids. These are the foundation of the game that eventually lead into hybrids and eventually superhybrids. However, many people get confused as to go for. What should they target? Well today, I am going to answer that question….somewhat. I am going to go through every nonhybrid and describe why it is, or isn’t, worth your while. I have broken up every nonhybrid (common thru epic plus the 2 legendaries) into 11 different tiers and will go through about 2 a day describing why they are more valuable than some creatures and less valuable than others. We will look at their performance in the arena (for some), their performance in advantage formats, and the performance of their hybrids and superhybrids in both the arena and their respective advantage formats. Things not taken into account is hybrid potential as well as datamines as datamines aren’t official and technically anything nowadays can get a hybrid, so something like Thylaconyx has just as much hybrid potential as Gigaspikeasaur, basically putting everything on an even playing field. However today, I will be telling you about the bottom of the barrel. The worst of the worst. While the cream rises to the top, these are the creatures that sit at the bottom. So, let’s get started.

'Garbage' Tier

This tier is the absolute bottom of the barrel. If you have to choose between a creature in this tier vs a creature not in here, take option 2 without thinking....unless you're a bit crazy.

Kicking off the ‘Garbage’ tier is Bajadasaurus. This creature has one hybrid: Bajatonodon. Unfortunately, this creature is arguably the second worst legendary in PVP and probably worse than its epic component in PVP. Bajatonodon really is only seen in the Fukuimimus raid. Then you have Bajadasaurus itself, and boy does Bajadasaurus NOT work. For a sauropod, it’s quite frail. This wouldn’t matter with the right kit, but Bajadasaurus has a kit fit for something like Carbonemyes or Ankylosaurus. Bajadasaurus rarely gets to use devastation and just flops about trying to do something. If you see this rare and another rare exactly the same distance away, odds are you’re better off going for that rare.

However, you might as well ignore both rares if that rare is Haast Eagle gen 2. Haast Eagle gen 1 and gen 2 were the 2 big nonhybrids to kick off the 2.0 era, and boy did they suck. Haast Eagle got far more love with everything in its line receiving hybrids and buffs and all sorts of uses. Haast Eagle gen 2 has itself and Aquillamimus. Let’s first take a look at Aquillamimus. Aquillamimus is arguably the worst epic in the game. It has poor stats, poor offense, and poor defense as well as none of Gallimimus’s immunities apart from pin, which Haast gen 2 also shares. Aquillamimus isn’t worth the Gallimimus DNA, which is better spent somewhere else like on Monomimus or Gallimimus itself. As for Haast Eagle gen 2, despite getting a buff, it still is useless unless it has a severe level advantage, and even then it could find itself in trouble. The stats don’t hold up and it just crash lands. Haast Eagle gen 2 and Bajadasaurus are the least valuable rares in the game, but there are 2 more creatures in this tier.

Next up is our first common, and a creature that is right now probably the worst creature in the game. Iguanodon has 2 hybrids in one line, and the line is pretty bad as it’s made up of 2 hadrosaurs. Now, hadrosaurs and their hybrids can be good. Take a look at something like Fukuimimus or Fukuisaurus. These are examples of what Hadrosaurs can do, and Ludia is improving other healers like Diloracheirus and Tragodistis. However, the Bajatonodon line still flops about. Iguanodon’s best use is Edmontoguanodon, and after that, that’s really it. I already discussed Bajatonodon, and with Iguanodon probably being the 315th best creature in the game, this is something that you could afford to ignore.

'Worth a Few Cents' Tier

The 'Worth a few cents' tier is the tier where creatures just narrowly avoided the bottom tier and have some uses in some hybrids or just as stand -alone nonhybrids, but those pros are just OK at best. Nothing to really fear.

Kicking us off, we have our first epic. 2.6 brought about the continentals, as well as Tsintaosaurus. Luckily for the continentals, they aren’t the worst thing ever while also having mediocre hybrids at worst. Tsintaosaurus isn’t like that. Tsintamoth is a mediocre hybrid. It does have some good tools, but the kit just doesn’t work that well and it is in shambles usually. But this is the best use of Tsintaosaurus. After that, you just have Tsintaosaurus itself, and that is nothing to write home about. Again, it’s a poorly done hadrosaur that has no chance in PVP. It has some tools that could’ve made it decent, but Ludia wasn’t so nice to it, and unfortunately, Tsintaosaurus finds itself here.

Next up is another rare. Deinotherium first looked like it had some serious potential. With superiority strike and ferocious impact, this big elephant reminded many players of old Sarcorixis. However, the stats did not deliver and Deinotherium has never seen any top play. However, Andrewtherium isn’t a bad option. It is a good epic in the format, but with many flocks and cunnings, it does struggle a bit. The only things saving it are its solid stats, good resistances, and no escape, and thanks to this, Andrewtherium keeps Deinotherium out of the ‘Garbage’ tier.

Edmontosaurus is just above Iguanodon only for the reason that it isn’t that bad in raids and also has a better performance in a PVP setting. However, its only use is for Edmontoguanodon, and that’s really it.

Our final rare in the tier is Scaphognathus. This is a rare that I felt was pretty underrated for a long time, but then with all these new rares, it was powercrept into oblivion. However, Scaphognathus could catch someone off guard, but in very rare scenarios. It just doesn’t have the stats or kit compared to other bleeders like Spinosaurus. As for its hybrid, Scaphotator isn’t anything amazing either. It is probably just better to level up Diplotator instead as Diplotator has more success in a rare format than Scaphotator in an epic format. So overall, Scaphognathus lands down here.

Finally, we’ll end on the only common in the tier. Archaeotherium was once the worst creature in the game, but is now just a bottom tier. And like PVP, there is little use for Archaeoitherium DNA as well. Archaeotherium is the first creature with 2 different hybrid lines on this list, and unfortunately, they both suck. Inosotherium is the worst rare hybrid in the game, being designed to better fit raids than PVP, and even then you can do better with a creature in the next tier. The same goes with Keratoporcus. It flops in PVP and is more focuses on raids, where creatures like Rexy just do the job better. And with Archaeotherium being nothing to write home about, the value of this DNA drops to very low levels. Thankfully for Archaeotherium it could rise if Keratolania becomes a thing, but seeing as this list doesn’t go off of speculation, Archaeotherium rounds out this tier.

Conclusion

Thank you all for reading. Worry not, there will be more of these on the way. However it took a bit to write about all 8 of these creatures, and the next tier has 9 creatures alone, and some have double that. I will do my best to get these out ASAPossible, but until next time, thank you for reading.
