JWA Weekly Event Nov 15 - Nov 21: Cute

Introduction

Explorers! As was provided via early information a few days ago, this coming week we can get all googly eyed over all the cutest creatures as voted by the community. Let's go over what we said then, how we feel now, what we'll recommend to dart, and everything else you need to know!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Monday - Tuesday: 27 Attempts

  • Coelurosauravus (Park Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Coelhaast)
  • Eremotherium (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Eremocerus)
  • Sinosauropteryx (Local 3 Anytime) (Sinokotaraptor)

This is quite a great pool of choices, and you probably want to focus on either Coel or Sinosaur. All three options make great hybrids, but if you don't have easy access to parks, Coel will be best for you. Sinosaur is the newest of the bunch, and it may be awhile before Local 3 makes its way to you. There is nothing wrong if you choose Eremo, however, I have been loving my Eremocerus the past couple qualifying tournaments.

Like we also tend to mention, 27 is a lot of attempts over just two days, and you might split yours over the choices or just dart what crosses your path.

Featured Creatures: Rares

Wednesday - Thursday: 18 Attempts

  • Archaeopteryx (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Argenteryx)
  • Echo (Saturday) (Indominus Rex Gen 2>Indoraptor Gen 2/Indotaurus)
  • Megalonyx (Local 1 Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Megalotops)

Here we have a very challenging choice to make unless we choose to split our attempts and maybe dart whatever crosses our path. Anyone who's used or faced Argenteryx knows what a pain those little birds can be. On another hand, we have the day of the week locked Echo who is now helping to feed the mighty Indotaurus. Of the three, we'd least recommend Onyx. It and its hybrid are both available in raids making the DNA much less hard to come by

Featured Creatures: Epics

Friday: 9 Attempts

  • Blue (Event Exclusive) (Indoraptor Gen 2)
  • Bumpy (Event Exclusive)
  • Maiasaura (Battle Exclusive) (Phorusaura>Phorurex)

Friday brings some more difficult decision making with all three options carrying some type of exclusivity. If you are still working on Phorurex, you are likely best off selecting Maia. However, don't forget you can also acquire the Unique DNA via raid each week. This may push you to choose one of the others. As of now, Bumpy does not have a hybrid but could absolutely get one some day. As far as Blue goes, Indo2 is far from the beast it once was, though it seemed to perform rather well in this past weekend's tournament.

Featured Creatures: Legendaries & Unique

Saturday: 1 Attempt

  • Rinchicyon (Event Exclusive)
  • Sinokotaraptor (Event Exclusive)

On Saturday we have one attempt and must choose between two very new Legendary creatures. If you are not in the Rinch region, we think Rinchiyon should be your choice. However, we also have the opportunity to raid this creature once a week. Sinokota is newer and the jury is still out on how good it is. The ingredients to fuse it are much easier to come by unless you are in Rinch region. You can't go wrong with whichever you choose, just make sure to get out there and get one!

We won't write up a separate section for the one attempt we have at Compsocaulus on Sunday. Clearly that is your choice, and you also want to make sure to get out there and get it.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be Cute themed and reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic creatures found at the event drops. In some very extremely rare cases, you may receive Legendary or even Unique DNA.

We will have two dinosaur specific strike this week, Megalonyx on Tuesday and Eucladoceros on Friday! We've also got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Wednesday (Attack), Thursday (HP), and Friday (Speed), and a Badge strike on Saturday.

Scents

We have a regular scent strike on Monday followed by a Cute scent strike on Thursday. When activated, this scent can draw the same Common, Rare, and Epic creatures found at the event drops.

Treasure Chase

On Sunday, we will have the treasure chase where the chests refresh hourly for you to collect up to 25,000 coins! The boxes reset at 8pm Eastern, so you actually have a chance for up to 50,000 coins if you are able to max both time frames.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week begins the Tsintamoth pursuit with the Epic Woolly Mammoth.

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Monday, 12 PM EST - Sunday, 12 PM EST every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTubers PokeFodder, Gaming Beaver, and Gaming Ells. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, PokeFodder, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
