JWA Weekly Event Nov 22 - Nov 28: Harvest Festival

Introduction

Explorers! As was provided via early information a few days ago, this coming week we celebrate our favorite feathered friends via Harvest Festival. Let's go over what we'll recommend to dart and everything else you need to know!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Monday - Tuesday: 27 Attempts

  • Deinocheirus (Global Anytime) (Diloracheirus)
  • Gallimimus (Local 1 Anytime) (Monomimus>Pterovexus, Aquilamimus)
  • Phorusrhacos (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Velosrhacos, Phorusaura>Phorurex)

Phoru should be your top priority unless you've maxed the whole line of VelosTacos, Phorusaura, and Phorex. We would give Galli the second nod but can't advocate for using your attempts on one that is found everywhere all the time. Of course this is another week where we are limited on time for 27 attempts, so your best bet may be just to dart whatever crosses your path (that isn't Deino).

Featured Creatures: Rares

Wednesday - Thursday: 24 Attempts

  • Archaeopteryx (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Argenteryx)
  • Argentavis (Event Exclusive ) (Argenteryx)
  • Haast Eagle Gen 2 (Wednesday) (Aquilamimus)
  • Kelenken (Event Exclusive) (Grylenken)

One note we neglected to point out last week is that there are only TWO DAYS for rare attempts this week. Make sure to complete yours by 10am Eastern Friday to avoid missing out. Here we have a very challenging choice to make unless we choose to split our attempts and maybe dart whatever crosses our path. We highly recommend you use your attempts on one or both of the Event Exclusive options. Anyone who's used or faced Argenteryx knows what a pain those little birds can be. However, we expect to see an adjustment to them with the next update based on recent datamine. We still believe this one will outperform others in its class grater than any of the other hybrids these options make. Kelenken can be a nice little advantage tournament nightmare when leveled and boosted, and every time Legendary comes around, I find myself very tempted to give Gryl a try.

Opteryx and Eagle2 aren't terrible choices, but this is simply a week where the others outshine based on exclusivity. With only two days to bust through 24 attempts, beggars may not have the luxury to be choosers and therefore split attempts across the options.

Featured Creatures: Epics

Friday: 9 Attempts

  • Dodo (Park Anytime) (Dodocevia)
  • Erlikosaurus (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Erlidominus)
  • Haast Eagle (Event Exclusive) (Coelhaast, Poukaidei>Poukandactylus)

Another week with only one day for our Epic attempts. Fortunately, 2/3 of our choices are solid. We have the event exclusive Eagle who is responsible for one of the best Legendary hybrids as well as another Legendary which feeds a solid Unique. However, we also have Dodo who is also responsible for one of the best Legendary hybrids and provides limited accessibility being a park spawn. Both DodoC and Coelhaast could also receive Supers one day. You may be best suited to split your attempts over Dodo & Eagle mainly in the interest of time. We do not suggest you spend any of your attempts on Erlik if you can avoid it.

Featured Creatures: Legendaries

Saturday: 1 Attempt

  • Coelhaast (Event Exclusive)
  • Phorusaura (Event Exclusive) (Phorurex)
  • Poukaidei (Event Exclusive) (Poukandactylus)

On Saturday we have one attempt and must choose between three Legendary options, all with their own merits. As mentioned in the Epics section, Coelhaast is a top tier Legendary which can be used for both tournament and arena. Phorusaura itself is past its prime but now feeds the formidable Phorurex. We'd least recommend Poukaidei of the three. You can't go wrong with whichever you choose, just make sure to get out there and get one!

Featured Creatures: Uniques

Sunday: 1 Attempt

  • Poukandactylus (Event Exclusive)
  • Quetzorion (Event Exclusive)

The week culminates with a unique attempt. Quetz is currently the better creature, so if you have not yet maxed this bird, we'd give this our top nod.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be Harvest Festival themed and reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic creatures found at the event drops. In some very extremely rare cases, you may receive Legendary or even Unique DNA.

We will have two dinosaur specific strike this week, Erlikosaurus Gen 2 on Tuesday and Haast Eagle on Friday! We've also got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Wednesday (Attack), Thursday (HP), and Friday (Speed), along with a Title strike on Tuesday and a Badge strike on Saturday.

Scents

We do not have a regular scent strike this week and instead have Harvest on both Monday and Thursday. They are also dropping once a day from the Event Supply Drops, so make sure you are using them as you get them! When activated, this scent can draw the same Common, Rare, and Epic creatures found at the event drops.

Treasure Chase

On Sunday, we will have the treasure chase where the chests refresh hourly for you to collect up to 25,000 coins! The boxes reset at 8pm Eastern, so you actually have a chance for up to 50,000 coins if you are able to max both time frames.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week concludes the Tsintamoth pursuit with the Epic Tsintaosaurus.

Daily Dino & Tournament Info

November rolls on, and our daily reward is Ankylosuaurus, while the season creature is the Event Exclusive, Sonorasaurus!

We continue another round of Antarctovenator ACCs this week! Week four will be Rare/Epic (All) Advantage tournament for Antarctopelta DNA!

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Monday, 12 PM EST - Sunday, 12 PM EST every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTubers PokeFodder, Gaming Beaver, and Gaming Ells. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, PokeFodder, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
