JWA Weekly Event Sep 20 - Sep 26: Raid Festival Part 1

Introduction

Explorers! This week comes as no surprise after Ludia provided GamePress with the exclusive news about it, It's going to be another busy week of darting some amazing options. Let's go over what our Discord community is thinking, what we'll recommend to dart, and everything else you need to know.

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Monday - Tuesday: 36 Attempts

  • Allosaurus (Global Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Allosinosurus>Thoradolosaur)
  • Scolosaurus (Local 4 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Skoolasaurus>Skoonasaurus)
  • Tarbosaurus (Global Anytime) (Thoradolosaur)
  • Velociraptor (Global Anytime) (Indominus Rex>Erlidominus/Indoraptor, Indoraptor)

This is very much an opportunity to just target whatever crosses your path, as only maybe kind of does Scolo stand out above the others. 36 is a lot of attempts over just two days, and there are going to be some busier darting days ahead. We suggest you save your time when it comes to these options. This is what the majority of those who voted in our community Discord poll plan to do.

Featured Creatures: Rares

Wednesday - Thursday: 18 Attempts

  • Argentinosaurus (Monday) (Ardontosaurus>Ardentismaxima)
  • Irritator (Global Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Pyrritator, Magnapyritor)
  • Tenontosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Tenontorex)

First, it is important to note we only have TWO DAYS for the rare attempts this week due to Legendary & Unique weekend. Make sure you get yours done by 10am Eastern Friday, as you don't want to leave any behind. As far as Exclusivity goes, you'll want Tenonto highest on your list if you haven't maxed TenRex. TenRex is a dual threat creature who is viable in the arena and usable in many raid strategies. In the arena, this one is a great counter to Testacornibus and also to Grypo who's seen a resurgence since the recent onslaught of Cornibus everywhere. Our Discord community most strongly backs the choice of Tenonto. Of the other two, we'd probably lean slightly toward Argentina for being day of the week locked. Maxima is also still decent in arena despite the nerf a few updates ago. We can't say the same for poor Mags the swap magnet. You might, however, choose Irritator to level itself to be used in raids.

Featured Creatures: Epics

Friday: 9 Attempts

  • Brachiosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Ardentismaxima)
  • Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
  • Sinoceratops (Local 1 Anytime) (Allosinosaurus>Thoradolosaur, Utasinoraptor>Utarinex)

This is also important to remember we only have one day to do all 9 of our Epic attempts. And how to choose between TWO Event Exclusive? We give an edge to Diplod due to Gem just being a better overall creature than Maxima. Nine attempts is a lot to figure out in one day, so it also couldn't hurt to split yours over Brachi & Diplod.  Diplod will be the target of the major majority of those who voted in our Discord poll. We don't highly recommend Sino, as it can be found in the wild, was our daily dino for about a million months awhile back, and we've been raiding it for over a year. We do realize this raid is now extinct, but we about always will take our opportunities at Exclusive when given them.

Featured Creatures: Legendaries

Saturday: 1 Attempt

  • Skoolasaurus (Event Exclusive) (Skoonasaurus)
  • Tryostronix (Event Exclusive)

We aren't going to break down Sunday, as there is only one option so get out there and dart your Maxima. As far as these two go, we'll lean toward Skoola because Skoona is one of the top creatures out there. Tryos is nothing to scoff at, however, as this one is viable in both arena and raids. Check out Eduardo's recent article feature this lovely beast!

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials are "Be the Boss" themed and will reward a plethora of great creatures. Refer to the i button on the strike rewards for the list too long to list here.

We will have two dinosaur specific strikes this week. Wednesday will feature Irritator, and an Epic strike on Friday will feature Megalotops! We've also got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Tuesday (Attack), Thursday (HP), and Friday (Speed) with an Emote strike on Saturday.

Scents

There is no basic scent strike this week. Instead, we will get Be the Boss themed scents on both Monday & Thursday. This will draw the same creatures you can win via strikes & trials.

Treasure Chase

On Sunday, we will have the treasure chase where the chests refresh hourly for you to collect up to 25,000 coins! The boxes reset at 8pm Eastern, so you actually have a chance for up to 50,000 coins if you are able to max both time frames.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week will begins the Compsocaulus pursuit with Epic Compsagnathus.

Daily Dino & Tournament Info

We charge on the month of September with our daily reward being Acrocanthosaurus while the arena reward is the extremely valuable, event exclusive, Woolly Rhino.

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Monday, 12 PM EST - Sunday, 12 PM EST every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTubers PokeFodder, Gaming Beaver, and Gaming Ells. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, PokeFodder, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
