JWA Weekly Events April 27 - May 03: Pterosaurs & Cute

Welcome back, Explorers! We are back with the Weekly Events breakdown. We apologize for the recent lapse on these articles. We have finally settled into a new normal so we should be back to providing this weekly. This week, we are getting Pterasaur and Cute themes! There are some very strong (and exclusive!) creatures in both of these themes so let's discuss what you should focus on. 

Monday -  Tuesday: Commons (18 attempts)

What to Dart

Dimorphodon is a Dawn/Dusk only creature by Hatzegopteryx is a daily and harder to hunt for. It also has what we feel is the better hybrid in Stygidaryx. Neither are exclusive so you can go for what you need most on your team. Or stock up for the future if you don't exactly need the DNA right now. 

Wednesday - Friday: Rares (30 attempts)

Arambourgiania

Dsungaripterus

Quetzalcoatlus

Tupandactylus

Scaphognathus

What to Dart

This is probably one of the toughest choices you will have to make this week. Arambourgiania, Dsungaripterus, and Quetzalcoatlus are all very solid choices depending on what you need the most, or if you are planning to save for the future.

• Arambourgiania - We just recently had a season with Arambo as a reward, but it is exclusive and it is a component of what can be considered the strongest creature in the game: Geminititan. So unless you have Gem at level 30, you are going to need Arambo DNA. 
   
• Dsungaripterus - Just like Arambo, Dsung is an exclusive creature. Unlike Arambo, however, you can't even get it in incubators. These events are the only way you can collect DNA. It has a hybrid, Dsungaia, that has the potential of getting a super-hybrid in the future. So if you want to get ahead and collect the DNA for that now, Dsung is a good option for you.
   
• Quetzalcoatlus - Quetz is a local 2 creature. While it isn't exclusive like the other 2 above, it is still needed for the very strong hybrid, Quetzorion. If you don't have regular access to local 2 and run Orion on your team, then Quetz is also a very solid choice for this week. 

The other 2 creatures aren't necessarily bad, they aren't just as good as the 3 listed above. If you have absolutely no idea what do go for, follow our simple rule: Always go exclusive if you can. That means Arambo or Dsung in this case. 

Saturday - Sunday: Epics (9 attempts)

Alanqa

Darwinopterus

Pteranodon

What to Dart

If we are going with the exclusive rule, then Alanqa will be your best choice for the epics. It's hybrid, Alankylosaurus still has a chance to get a super-hybrid someday. Darwin is a local 2 creature and Pteranodon can be found in parks. They are also featured in other weeks and Ptera, in particular, has been featured several times in the last month. Always go for what you need most, but if you aren't sure, then Alanqa is a safe bet.

The theme in the strike events is Cute! The creatures found in this pool are:

     Common: Gallimimus, Scolosaurus, Stegosaurus

     Rare: Dracorex, Echo, Nasutocertops

     Epic: Blue, Carbonemys

We have 3 Epic Strike Events this week. There is a Cute themed strike on Tuesday and Sunday as well as a Titanoboa themed Strike on Friday.

They are also continuing with the new strike format so make sure you are paying attention to those. Where it shows the double strikes in the picture, those strikes will only be out for 12 hours at a time. The first one will started at the reset and go for 12 hrs and then will change to the other strike. So make sure you are completing the first one within 12 hours. 

We will also have the Trials again with a theme of Pterosaurs so keep an eye for those on the map as well.

There is a Charger Scent on Monday, Thursday, and a Saturday. The pool of creatures that can be found in that scent are: 

     Common: Dracorex Gen 2, Einiosaurus, Triceratops Gen 2, Stygimoloch Gen 2

     Rare: Dracorex, Triceratops

     Epic: Sinoceratops, Stygimoloch

There is also a Attack Boost Strike on Wednesday and a Rare Scent Strike over the weekend. That is a guaranteed Epic Scent if you are able to defeat all of the creatures. 

So that's what we can look forward to this week.  We are also hoping for more 1.14 teasers as they update should be right around the corner!
