Introduction
Weekly Calendar Explained
Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.
Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.
- Common = 9 per
- Rare = 6 per
- Epic = 3 per
- Legendary/Unique = 1 total
They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.
All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.
Featured Creatures: Commons
Wednesday - Thursday: 36 attempts
- Apatosaurus (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Nodopatosaurus>Gigaspikasaur/Nodopatotitan/Stegodeus)
- Eremotherium (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Eremocerus)
- Stegosaurus (Saturday) (Stegoceratops>Monostegotops, Stegodeus)
- Tarbosaurus (Global Anytime) (Thoradolosaur, Tarbognathus>Compsoraptor)
Overall
The long and short of these two days (which is really going to be the same for almost all groups of Commons) is 36 is a lot of attempts. It's really tough to get excited about any commons, but this week we do like Eremo quite a lot. This one is top tier in Common tournaments as we recently saw earlier this month. Stego is only around on one day of the week making it a decent option if you even just want to stockpile some DNA. Tarbo is a global spawn, but you're going to need tons of it if you want in on all of the hybrids. We don't recommend spending any attempts on Apato. You will likely get plenty with your two Sauropoda scents you'll receive off scent strikes this week.
Voting Poll
As of Wednesday morning, almost everyone who voted in our Discord poll will be darting whatever crosses their path.
Featured Creatures: Epics
Friday - Saturday: 12 Attempts
- Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
- Giganotosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Giganyx)
- Titanoboa (Event Exclusive) (Dilophoboa>Spinoconstrictor)
- Woolly Mammoth (Local 2 Anytime) (Entelemoth>Entelolania, Mammotherium>Mammolania, Tsintamoth)
Overall
This week is extremely tough to choose with 3 Event Exclusive options. Giganoto is the newest of the bunch and has been thrown at us almost weekly since its introduction in 2.16. We like this the best when considering hybrids for your arena team. If you are finding yourself more tournament focused, then you'll want to keep your attention on Diplod or Titanoboa. Both are heavily used on qualifying tournament teams because they absolutely slay. We don't advise Mammoth over these other three options despite the plethora of hybrids. When there are Event Exclusives of this caliber, they absolutely should top your radar.
Voting Poll
As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Legendaries
Sunday: 1 attempt
- Fukuimimus (Event Exclusive)
- Gigaspikasaur (Event Exclusive)
- Thylaconyx (Event Exclusive)
Overall
If you aren't in the Fukuisaurus region, then we most recommend Fukuimimus as your option here. Anyone who has faced this in Arena or Tournament understand what a power house we have here. We also very much like Thylaconyx, another very mighty legendary who is popping up in more and more raid strategies as well. We don't suggest Giga over either of these at this time. It's very easy to find the components and isn't a factor in arena, tournament, or raids.
Voting Poll
As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Rare
Monday - Tuesday: 24 attempts
- Dreadnoughtus (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Dreadactylus)
- Fukuisaurus (Local 3 Anytime) (Fukuimimus)
- Quetzalcoatlus (Event Exclusive) (Pteraquetzal>Quetzorion)
- Tuojiangosaurus (Global Anytime) (Diorajasaur>Ankylos Lux, Tuoramoloch)
Overall
This is a nice pool of options here, and with 24 over just two days, there's opportunity to spread your attempts over multiple. We like Dread as your top choice being the newest of the bunch and seeing how it performed in tournament this past weekend. It's a real toss up between Fukui and Quetz as the next best choice. Quetz has the event exclusivity, but Fukui currently has the better hybrid. We really do not advocate for choosing a global anytime spawn over these others despite the useful hybrids Tuoj contributes to.

As of Wednesday morning:
Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!
Strike Events & Trials
Strike Events & Trials will also be Titanic themed and can reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic DNA found at event drops (very very rarely, you could get super lucky and be awarded Legendary).
We will have two dinosaur specific strikes this week, a Dreadnoughtus strike on Wednesday, and a Tyrannosaurus rex strike on Friday. We've also got the Boost Strikes with extra rewards on Thursday (Attack), Saturday (HP), and Monday (Speed) with an Emote strike Saturday.
Scents
It seems they've done away with the generic scent strikes, as both this week will be Saurapoda scent (Thursday & Monday). This scent can draw the following when activated (one rare guaranteed on first pull):
- Apatosaurus (Common)
- Amargasaurus (Rare)
- Argentinosaurus (Rare)
- Giraffititan (Epic)
- Branchiosaurus (Epic)
- Diplodocus (Epic)
Treasure Chase
We have our standard treasure chase on Sunday. You can collect up to 25,000 coins through each period (Sunday will run 11am Eastern to 8pm Eastern, then it will reset until 11am Eastern Monday - this allows 2 total chances at the coins!
Hybrid Pursuit
This week begins the Sinokotaraptor pursuit with the Sinosauropteryx!
Daily Dino & Tournament Info
This will be the final week with Rodrigues Solitaire as our Seasonal Arena Reward and Lystrosaurus as our Daily Dino.

Free Cash Link
GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12pm Eastern - Tuesday, 12pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!
If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.
*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
