JWA Weekly Events Mar 2 - Mar 8: We Can Save Them

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Explorers! The early information we were provided becomes official in the We Can Save Them event. On 3/3/22, they have corrected the calendar by replacing Arctodus with Arctops. This doesn't change much of what we already had to say, but we have updated the relevant places for this change. Let's get to it and talk about our recommendations of what to dart before we break down the rest this week has to offer!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Wednesday - Thursday: 36 Attempts

  • Miragaia (Local 1 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Megalogaia, Dsungaia)
  • Nundasuchus (Thursday) (Einiasuchus>Sarcorixis, Majundasuchus>Majundaboa>Troodoboa)
  • Sinosauropteryx (Local 3 Anytime) (Sinokotaraptor)
  • Stegosaurus (Saturday) (Stegoceratops>Monostegotops, Stegodeus)

We like Nunda as your top choice here. It is only available one day a week and is a component of the newish Unique hybrid, Troodoboa. It also feeds Rixis who remains mighty despite a nerf awhile back. We would order the others as Sinosaur (though I'm personally really over darting this one), Stego, Miragaia. This is a lot of attempts over two days, and as usual it may be best to spread your attempts over more than one option or even just whichever cross your path.

Featured Creatures: Epics Day 1

Friday - Saturday: 9 Attempts

  • Carbonemys (Global Anytime) (Carbotoceratops>Testacornibus>Arctovasilas, Smilonemys)
  • Dodo (Park Anytime) (Dodocevia)
  • Rajasaurus (Local 2 Anytime) (Rajakylosaurus>Diorajasaur>Ankylos Lux)

Raja is going to be the top choice in this group, as the fusible ALux is a fantastic creature. There's also the Dio who can be viable in arena and is found in many raid strategies. You're going to need a lot of Raja for both of these hybrids. Dodo is a solid choice especially if you don't have easy access to parks. DodoC is a top Legendary and quite formidable in qualifying tournaments. This one can also wreak havoc in the arena. That leaves Carbo as the least ideal, but that doesn't make it a bad idea. This helps with the other fusible unique, Arctovasilas. This one can be found everywhere, all the time, which is really the main reason we like the other two a little better.

Featured Creatures: Epics Day 2

Sunday: 9 Attempts

  • Bumpy (Event Exclusive) (Ankylomoloch>Ankylos Lux)
  • Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
  • Titanoboa (Event Exclusive) (Dilophoboa>Spinoconstrictor)

What a super bummer they decided to put all the Event Exclusives on the same day. Of course Bumpy tops this list with its top tier hybrid, ALux. This doesn't make Diplod or Boa a bad choice. Their hybrids are also great, and our opportunities to dart them don't come around often. We only have one day for all 9 attempts, so like with the Commons, you may need to spread yours over a couple or all options.

Featured Creatures: Rares

Monday - Tuesday: 24 Attempts

  • Arctops (Event Exclusive) (Acrocanthops>Parasauthops, Andrewtops)
  • Argentavis (Event Exclusive ) (Argenteryx)
  • Cervalces (Event Exclusive) (Arctalces>Arctovasilas)
  • Tuojiangosaurus (Global Anytime) (Diorajasaur>Ankylos Lux, Tuoramoloch)

Holy cannoli what wonderful choices we have here! Cervalces is preferred over the rest after the sudden removal of Arctodus replaced with ArctopsArctops is a fine choice with the mighty PThops as one of its hybrids, though ironically both of its Unique hybrids are raidable once a week. Tavis is tempting, but this is our Hybrid Pursuit for the week as well as the March seasonal reward, and you should be able to gain a nice haul those ways. It's also important to check these if you do see them, as they may be wild and not part of the event. As much Tijuana as you'll need for its hybrids, we don't recommend this over any of the event exclusive options.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be We Can Save Them themed and will reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic DNA found under event drops.

We have just one dinosaur specific strike this week, a Brachiosaurus tower on Friday! We've also got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Thursday (Attack), Saturday (HP), and Monday (Speed) as well as a Badge strike on Thursday and an Emote strike on Tuesday.

Scents

We have a basic scent strike on Monday, and prior to that will be Charger scent on Thursday. This scent can draw the following creatures when activated:

  • Dracorex Gen 2 (Common)
  • Einiosaurus(Common)
  • Stygimoloch Gen 2 (Common)
  • Triceratops Gen 2 (Common)
  • Dracorex (Rare)
  • Triceratops (Rare)
  • Sinoceratops (Epic)
  • Stygimoloch (Epic)

Treasure Chase

The calendar shows a treasure spread across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We don't yet know if this will only be for coins or if they'll put some other goodies like boosts, FIPs, or DNA in them. Make sure to check the information before opening in case you need to clear room for anything.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week concludes the Argenteryx pursuit with the Event Exclusive Argentavis!

Daily Dino & Tournament Info

It's a new month, locals will rotate on Monday, and our daily creature becomes Stygimoloch. The arena season will reward the Event Exclusive Argentavis!

We also have a new Alliance Championships in the form of Indotaurus. This one will be 6 tournaments with the first week being Common/Rare (All, No Swap Prevention, 1 Takedown, See List Below for Additional Exclusions) Skills tournament for COINS! They really overhauled a lot for this series, so stay tuned for an article diving a little deeper in to this month's formats. We'll also have Eduardo's take on what the best creatures will be for this specific tournament.

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12pm Eastern - Tuesday, 12pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
