Introduction
Hello, Explorers! Have you been out hunting all the new creatures? They are all global anytime spawns except for Arctops (which is exclusive) so make sure you get out there and search!. The weekly events have also been announced and this week, we are getting South America & Wound. South America is an awesome theme, especially since it features Irritator! So let's break down what to focus on.
Featured Creatures - Common
Monday - Wednesday: Commons (18 attempts)
Irritator Gen 2
Phorusrahcos
What to Dart
This one should be pretty easy. Irritator Gen 2 is everywhere (seriously, most of us are tired of it) and Phorusrahcos is exclusive. Always go with the exclusive so Phoru is going to be your best choice. It's also a component in the Legendary hybrid, Phorusaura that has been awesome in the tournament this weekend and should also prove to be worth a spot on the team in the advantage tournament next weekend.
Featured Creatures - Rare
Wednesday - Friday: Rares (30 attempts)
Amargasaurus
Argentinosaurus
Carnotaurus
Irritator
Tupandactylus
What to Dart
This seems like an easy choice for most people (Irritator because it's exclusive), but a case can also be made for Argentinosarus as well, especially for those that don't have easy access to Local 3. Argentino is featured in more events then Irritator it seems, and while both can be requested from your alliance, it seems that Irritator requests are often harder to fill (depending on your alliance). Go with what you need and you might even split between the 2 if you need both but if you have Magna on your team and it isn't level 30 yet, Irritator really will be your best option for the middle of the week.
Featured Creatures - Epic
Saturday - Sunday: Epics (9 attempts)
Gryposuchus
Smilodon
What to Dart
Gryposuchus and Smilodon are great choices depending on your team. Grypo is need for the Tyrant creature, Grypolyth and Smilodon is needed for another Tyrant creature, Smilonemys. Smilodon is a global creature, while Grypo can be found in Local 4 so Grypo is a little harder to come by. Grypo also just got another hybrid this last patch, so even if you have a lvl 30 Grypolyth you might want to go for that to stock up on DNA for Grylenken. If you need Smilodon, that's still a good option as well.
Strike and Trial Events
The theme in the strike events is Wound! The creatures found in this pool are:
Common: Dimorphodon, Suchomimus, Sarcosuchus
Rare: Spinosaurus, Scaphognathus, Suchotator
Epic: Dimodactylus, Darwinopterus, Spinosaurus Gen 2, Spinotahraptor
We have 3 Epic Strike Events this week. There is a Wound themed strike on Tuesday and Sunday as well as a Secodontosaurus themed Strike on Friday.
They are also continuing with the new strike format so make sure you are paying attention to those. Where it shows the double strikes in the picture, those strikes will only be out for 12 hours at a time. The first one will start at the reset and go for 12 hrs and then will change to the other strike. So make sure you are completing the first one within 12 hours.
We will also have the Trials again with a theme of South America so keep an eye for those on the map as well.
Themed Scent, Boost Strike, and Treasure Chase
There is a Nimble Therapod Scent Strike on Monday, Thursday, and a Saturday. Remember that these themed scents are only guaranteed to attract 1 rare creature and a very small chance to attract and epic creature. The pool of creatures that can be found in that scent are:
Common: Deinocheirus, Dilophosaurus Gen 2, Monlophosaurus Gen 2, Tanycolagreus, Gallimimus
Rare: Dilophosaurus, Erlikosaurus Gen 2, Ornithomimus, Proceratosaurus
Epic: Erlikosaurus, Monolophosaurus
There is also a Speed Boost Strike on Wednesday as well as 2 scent strikes during the week.
In Conclusion
So that's what we can look forward to this week. We are always excited to see Irritator being featured and are also looking forward to seeing Mammoth in the wild as the pursuit creature this week! Make sure to join our Discord for all the latest information in JWA!
