JWA Weekly Events Oct 26 to Nov 1: Halloween Part 2

Explorers! We are in our second week of Halloween-themed events and it features one of the newest creepy crawlers to enter the game! Let's get to it and talk about our recommendations of what to dart before we break down the rest this week has to offer!

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

• Common = 9 per
• Rare = 6 per
• Epic = 3 per
• Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

 Wednesday - Thursday: 27 attempts

• Deinocheirus (Global Anytime) (Diloracheirus)
• Dimorphodon (Local 4 Anytime) (Dimodactylus)
• Velociraptor (Global Anytime) (Indominus Rex>Erlidominus/Indoraptor/Indonemys, Indoraptor)

Overall

Like most sets of commons, there really isn't anything about either of these that make one superior to the other. It looks like Deinocheirus and Velociraptor are the most popular in the community, but we would suggest darting whatever crosses your path rather than spending extra time trying to be particular, especially with 27 attempts over two days.

Overall

We have 2 event-exclusive creatures to choose from this week, but the obvious choice is Pulmonoscorpios. This is the first chance we will have to dart it and it is the newest creature to the game out of all 3 options. It is looking like it could be a great creature in epic tournaments and it also has a hybrid so you will need to get it to level 20 in order to start fusing for Dsungascorpios.

Overall

Rexy is huntable as a short-range exclusive Day/Dawn/Dusk spawn but you can only get 2 a day so we still think this is the best option of the 3. Pyrosuchus is new, but it's also fusible with ingredients you can actually find in the wild. Indoraptor Gen 2 has an exclusive ingredient (Blue) in it, but it's been around the longest and doesn't have the same meta defining characteristics as Rexy does. We only have 1 unique to choose from but make sure to get out and dart Alankyloceratops while you are out getting your Legendary creatures.

Overall

It looks like the GP community will overwhelmingly be going for Albertosaurus. It is an event exclusive creature and its hybrid, Albertocevia, is still very good in the arena and didn't lost much from the small nerf it recieved a couple of updates ago. Therizinosaurus is also event exclusive and not a bad option, especially if you have already gotten Albertocevia to level 30.

Strike Events and Trials are also Halloween themed and can reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic DNA found at Event Supply Drops (with a very small chance at Legendary in some cases). 

We will not have any dinosaur specific strikes this week, but we do have the Boost Strikes on Thurday (Attack), Saturday (HP), and Monday (Speed).

Both scent strikes this week will be Halloween scent (Thursday & Monday) and can draw the following creatures when activated (with one Rare guaranteed):

Treasure Chase

We have the standard treasure chase on Sunday where distance doesn't matter. You can collect up to 25,000 coins through each period (Sunday will run 11am Eastern to 8pm Eastern, then it will reset until 11am Eastern Monday) - this allows 2 total chances at the coins! 

Hybrid Pursuit

The Ankylos Lux pursuit continues with Rajasaurus

October continues with the arena seasonal reward of Beta and Acrocanthosaurus as our Daily Dino. This will change next week on Wednesday, November 2 and we will hopefully have more information on that soon. 

We will have the 4th and final tournament for the Albertocevia Alliance Championship this weekend/ It will will be Epic All (No Restrictions) Advantage tournament for Albertosaurus DNA!
