Introduction
Weekly Calendar Explained
Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.
Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.
- Common = 9 per
- Rare = 6 per
- Epic = 3 per
- Legendary/Unique = 1 total
They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.
All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.
Featured Creatures: Commons
Wednesday: 27 attempts
- Coelurosauravus (Park Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Coelhaast)
- Dimetrodon Gen 2 (Global Anytime) (Monolometrodon>Monolorhino)
- Inostrancevia (Local 1 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Inostherium, Edaphocevia>Albertocevia, Dodocevia)
Overall
We start our tour in the Paleozoic Era/Permian Period. Like most sets of commons, there really isn't anything about either of these that make one superior to the other. We would suggest darting whatever crosses your path rather than spending extra time trying to be particular, especially with 27 attempts over just one day.

As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Rares Day 1
Thursday: 18 attempts
- Dilophosaurus (Local 1 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Ovilophosaurus, Diloranosaurus>Diloracheirus)
- Postosuchus (Local 4 Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Postimetrodon>Tryostronix>Giganyx)
- Preondactylus (Local 1 Anytime) (Ankylodactylus, Dreadactylus)
Overall
The second stop on this tour takes place in the Mesozoic Era/Triassic Period. It's going to be a challenge to fit all 18 attempts in to one day, so you might need to spread your attempts over multiple options. Fortunately, they are all very useful with multiple hybrids. Preon may deserve a little edge because this one is also great in the rarity and can be very formidable in qualifying tournaments.

As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Epics Day 1
Friday: 6 Attempts
- Allosaurus Gen 2 (Event Exclusive) (Alloraptor>Allodrigues)
- Diplodocus (Event Exclusive) (Geminititan)
- Kentrosaurus (Park Anytime) (Ankytrosaurus>Trykosaurus)
Overall
This stop on the tour takes us through the Jurassic Period/Jurassic Era. They are straying from the normal math for attempts which is a bummer even when we only have one day to do them. Here we like Diplod the best for the possibility of an Apex hybrid one day (remember the voting poll we had awhile back?). There's no evidence that this hybrid will ever come to play, but you'll want to be prepared for if it ever does. Allo2 is our second favorite option with the two fantastic hybrids. Also, both Allo2 & Diplod can be useful on their own in qualifying tournaments (which we do have later this month). If you struggle with park access, we can see your case for wanting to spend yours on Kentro. No matter what you choose, make sure you get all 6 done in one day.

Featured Creatures: Rares Day 2
Saturday: 18 Attempts
- Albertosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Albertospinos, Albertocevia)
- Tenontosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Tenontorex)
- Therizinosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Segnoraptor)
Overall
We'll spend Saturday in the Cretacious Era/Cretacious Period with 3 event exclusive Rares to choose from. Fortunately, we don't have to totally choose, and it might again be best to split the attempts over multiple choices. If we were to put these in order, it would go Therizino, Alberto, Tenonto. Alberto has been around longer than Therizino, and we are entering the Albertocevia Alliance Championships. This will be an opportunity for a slew of this DNA in both the Exclusive DNA tournament as well as the Alliance Championship final incubator rewards. The margin of preference between these two is very small. Tent isn't a terrible option if you must, but we do like the other two much better.

As of Wednesday morning (Note: The calendar listed Paramoloch when the poll was created, then it was changed to PLux the next day):
Featured Creatures: Epics Day 2
Sunday: 6 Attempts
- Microraptor (Local 2 Anytime) (Segnoraptor)
- Ouranosaurus (Local 4 Anytime) (Diloranosaurus>Diloracheirus)
- Tyrannosaurus Rex (Global Anytime) (Indominus Rex>Erlidominus/Indonemys/Indoraptor, Trykosaurus)
Overall
Sunday keeps us in the Cretacious Era/Cretacious Period with some more Epic options. This is a day you'll want to evaluate your own goals, because each of these has pretty equal merits. If you haven't built a mighty Diloracheirus yet, then you'll want to try to use yours on Ourano. If you're still fusing the Apex Indonemys, you may need to focus on TRex. And if neither of those suits your fancy, we do like Micro as the newest of the bunch.

As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Rares Day 3
Monday: 18 Attempts
- Argentavis (Event Exclusive) (Argenteryx, Lystrosavis)
- Cervalces (Event Exclusive) (Arctalces>Arctovasilas)
- Rodrigues Solitaire (Event Exclusive) (Allodrigues)
Overall
We finish the week in the Cenozoic Era with more event exclusive dilemmas. This is another case where you're really not wrong with whatever you choose, but we're loving Tavis above the rest. Those are two nasty hybrids this bird creates, and you are going to need a ton if you have plans to build both.
Voting Poll
As of Wednesday morning (Note: The calendar listed Paramoloch when the poll was created, then it was changed to PLux the next day):
Featured Creatures: Epics Day 3
Tuesday: 6 Attempts
- Ailurarctos (Event Exclusive)
- Carbonemys (Global Anytime) (Carbotoceratops>Testacornibus>Arctovasilas, Smilonemys>Indonemys)
- Woolly Rhino (Event Exclusive) (Keratoporcus, Monolorhino)
Overall
Our final day concludes our march through the Cenozoic period with some more event exclusive options. We understand Carbo will be tempting with all the hybrids, but this one is a global spawn. We very rarely advocate for a global spawn over event exclusives, but it's completely understandable if this one is your choice. Of the other two, we like Panda slightly better mostly due to Rhino having been around the game significantly longer. Like all the other days, just be sure to get all of your attempts done within the short time frame. Even if you can't do them all to your preference, all of this DNA is great DNA, don't leave any on the table.

Free Cash Link
GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12am Eastern - Tuesday, 11:59pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!
If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.
*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
