1.8 Migration Changes - Locals Get Biggest Change

Explorers!

Patch 1.8 is out and we've got the changes to spawn mechanics. We're working on updating our Nest/Spawn guide (the big button on the top bar that says Nests will always bring you to the most up to date one) but we just wanted to let you know what changed in advance.

Overall, the changes were more substantial than we suspected originally but less than last time around. The only major changes took place for the four local zones and for the pet stores nest. Everything else (global spawns for instance) remained the same.

Here are what was balanced for the locals.

Update 6/25: We've got the graphical version up and running under the Nests logo above or by clicking the below link.

Local Gains

During Day/Dawn/Dusk

  • Local 4 had no changes
  • Local 3 gained Koolasuchus and Megalosaurus
  • Local 2 gained Wuerhosaurus
  • Local 1 gained Concavenator

During Night/Dawn/Dusk

  • Local 4 gained Scaphonacgus
  • Local 3 no change
  • Local 2 no change
  • Local 1 no change

During Anytime:

  • Local 4 gained Kentrosaurus and Carnotaurus
  • Local 3 had no change
  • Local 2 gained Erlikosaurus
  • Local 1 gained Giraffatitan, Tuojiangosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Sinoceratops

Local Losses

During Day/Dawn/Dusk

  • Local 4 lost Carnotaurus
  • Local 3 lost Tuojiangosaurus and Sinceratops
  • Local 2 no change
  • Local 1 lost Kentrosaurus

During Night/Dawn/Dusk

  • Local 4 lost Giraffatitan
  • Local 3 no change
  • Local 2 no change
  • Local 1 no change

During Anytime:

  • Local 4 lost Koolasuchus
  • Local 3 had no change
  • Local 2 lost Brachiosaurus and Wuerhosaurus
  • Local 1 lost Megalosaurus, Scaphognathus, Concavenator, Erlikosaurus

Pet Store Nest and Concluding Thoughts

Pet stores only had one minor change. They lost Nundasuchus. That was it.

Overall, this was a bigger shakeup than the notes made it sound like. We noted the biggest changes in bold but I'm still scratching my head on who really won this battle. Local 4 looks significantly better than it has most of the time in the past, and Local 1 took a big hit losing Kentro but got Sino back as well as Brachio which should be a lot more useful with the new unique.
