Hello again Explorers! It's a new week and we have a lot of events going on this week! Make sure to check out our weekly event guide to see what creatures are being featured and what you should dart. We also have 3 epic strike events! In addition to the regular weekly events, we also have a new tournament that was announced, a new scent in the store, and some important information about the alliance rewards this week. Here's what you need to know.
New Tournament Announced
We will have another tournament this weekend. The Height of Summer Tournament will take place between Friday, August 16 and Monday, August 19th. Here are the details for it:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Creatures
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Unique
- Hybrids only
- Level
- All creatures are set to your default level (any)
- Stat Boosts
- Enabled
Rewards
Since it is team level hybrids of all levels, expect to see the same teams and creatures as you do in the regular arena for the most part. The only difference is you will be awarded based on your trophy count when the tournament expires. One good thing is most people won't need to change their team between the tournament and regular arena. The entry fee is low and the participation prize is hard cash so it doesn't hurt to enter for a couple of matches at least.
Sauropoda Scent
It looks like they are keeping up with their weekly themed scents. This week is a Sauropoda Scent and this is what you can expect to get from it:
As you can see, you are guranteed at least one rare creature, but you are most likely to get commons for the most part. So if you do get this scent be prepared to dart a lot of Apatosaurus (which can help with alliance missions at least!). We have heard confirmation that someone got a Diplodocus from a scent, but we wouldn't count on that if that is what you are hoping to get.
Alliance Rewards
This week was supposed to start a new set of alliance mission rewards. This won't be the case for all players however. Apparently there was a "technical error" that caused an error in the alliance mission rewards that you will be claiming next week. According to the forums:
If you or one of your Alliance members collected your Alliance Mission DNA rewards between the hours of 14:00 - 14:20 UTC on Monday, August 12, 2019, you will receive the following creature DNA come Monday, August 19th, 2019:
- Geo Based: Iguanodon, Tenontosaurus, Stegoceratops
- Battle Based: Tarbosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Gen2, Tyrannosaurus
If you collected your Alliance Mission DNA rewards AFTER 14:20 UTC on Monday, August 12, 2019, you will receive the following creature DNA come Monday, August 19th, 2019:
- Geo Based: Purussaurus Gen2, Purussaurus, Gryposuchus
- Battle Based: Monolophosaurus Gen2, Dilophosaurus, Koolasuchus
Basically that means if anyone in the alliance claimed rewards in the first 20 minutes, then the whole alliance will receive the rewards that we have had the last couple of weeks. We expect most alliances will be in this situation and they updated the post on the forum on 08/13/2019 to include the following:

We would like to address some of the questions that have arisen from this unfortunate situation.
Will the Alliance Mission Reward be extended another week?
With some major additions quickly approaching, there is simply not enough time to alter this on-going event, given that the issue at hand was caused by a technical error and not an on-going bug. For this, we sincerely apologize, but there are some very exciting things coming!
How will we prevent this from recurring?
We’re implementing precautionary measures to ensure that the needed steps to transition from one Alliance Mission Reward to the next are completed well in advance and therefore prevent this from recurring in the future.
This looks like a 1.9 patch tease but we'll see. We'll definitely keep our eyes peeled for the next couple of weeks to see if that's the case!
