Introduction

Hello Again Explorers! We were disappointed we didn't get any teasers this week, but we are still holding out hope for next week! The Leap Year event didn't turn out how we expected as the creatures were very difficult to find. We did a review on it with our Weekly Events Article Below. We also have a skills tournament this weekend featuring common creatures. In other news, New (and exciting!) Alliance Mission rewards were announced, there are some tournament changes coming next patch, and the new trials feature was introduced this week as well. So let's get to it!

Alliance Mission Rewards

The next set of alliance mission rewards were announced and they are pretty exciting! In particular, the Exploration missions are fantastic as they feature the exclusive dino, Diplodocus! This epic creature is a component of Geminititan, which is probably one of (if not the) strongest dinos in the game right now. So if you aren't already an alliance that gets to level 10 on Exploration missions this is definitely the week to try!

Tournament Changes

There was an announcement on the forum today that there will be changes coming to tournaments in the next patch:

Hello DPG members,

We’ve reviewed your feedback as well as our own Tournaments metrics and we’ve noticed that many of our newer players are not experiencing gameplay to its fullest potential at the beginning of the events because they are matched against more experienced players.

As you know, the team is always working hard to better your playing experience. Enhancements to the Tournaments are being made for the next update to not only make playing more fun, but will also help the experience for early level players that participate.

Stay tuned for more information within the next coming weeks!

We haven't received confirmation if they are referring to the seasonal tournaments or the weekend tournaments. Whichever it is, it looks like they are listening and trying to make improvements for the good of the game. They also said more information would be coming "within the next coming weeks" so hopefully that means we'll start seeing some 1.13 teasers soon!

New Trials Feature

Last week we thought we were getting a 1.13 teaser with the new Trials that they announced. They actually implemented that feature this week and it's an additional strike tower on the map. Unlike other strike towers, however, there are restrictions on the dinos you can use. They follow the theme of the weekly creatures so the idea is you can dart those and use them in these events.

This week it was stunning themed and you had to use creatures that had stunning abilities and had a base damage of less than 1000. They seemed fairly easy for most people to defeat, but hopefully the end of the week we will see even more difficult challenges. They also feature a new arena that looks pretty cool! We love the idea of these new features and hope they add an additional challenge for players. It's also a good way to knock out some more battles without having to go into the arena. We can't wait to see what other themes they come up with!

Wrap Up

While we are disappointed we didn't see any more teasers for 1.13 we are excited about the potential changes coming to tournaments (if they are implemented right) and we are hoping to get more information and teasers next week!
