Introduction
Explorers! Ludia has provided us with a teaser for the 2.22 Update, and we are excited to share this with you! This teaser calls this the Enhancements Update and shares the date of the next update and a number of other changes and additions that will come in the 2.22 Update!

So let's see what we can expect...
2.22 Teaser information
This is the following information that Ludia feels comfortable sharing with the community:
- Barring any last minute changes, we are planning on publishing the release notes officially on Thursday, March 9th and releasing the 2.22 update the following week. As always, these dates are subject to change.
- This update is being hailed as… The ENHANCEMENTS Update! This new feature will allow players to take their creatures to the next level in the form of stat and ability upgrades which will be accessible in the new Enhancements Track found in the creature lab! More details will be coming shortly about this incredible new feature!
- We are introducing a new epic creature that we believe will make players very… hoppy!
- With this creature, we are introducing a brand new battle mechanic, called Affliction, as well as 3 new abilities!
- We will reintroduce Pyrritator as a permanent raid boss starting April 14 for the foreseeable future.
- 9 Creatures will be modified in this update… ALL BUFFS! The modified creatures are made up of 4 rare, 3 epic, 1 legendary, and 1 unique.
Updates are usually on Tuesday so we expect the new patch to go live on Tuesday, March 14th. This is purely GP speculation and not yet officially announced by Ludia. Once the update is announced, it is good practice to get as much of your missions, event attempts, and raids done in advance as possible. We all know how sideways Update 2.21 went for Android users. While Ludia did supply ample compensation, it is still in our best interest to look out for ourselves and make sure we don't miss out in the event of another major incident.
This update looks to be fairly low key in terms of just one new creature (Can you say Beelzebufo?), a handful of modifications (BUFFS!), one new mechanic, and just 3 new abilities. However, the enhancements function will likely prove to be a big game changer. We won't know how we totally feel about this until we see the details on how it works. Will this mostly benefit the spenders in the game, or will everyone be able to take fine advantage of this feature?
