Explorers! The weekly events have been announced and once again we've got your coverage. This week's theme is Pterosaurs as the featured creatures and Halloween and Asia as the strike event themes. We are excited to finally get some birds to dart! And having 2 strike event themes is exciting as well. We'll break down what to dart and what to expect from the strike events. So let's get to it!

Weekly events 10.21-27

Featured Creatures - Common

Monday -  Tuesday: Commons (18 attempts)

What to Dart

Dimorphodon is a global dawn/dusk only. It has a decently strong hybrid and since it is only available at a very limited time of day this could be the best option if you are wanting to stock up on DNA. Hatzegopteryx is a daily dino on Monday. We'll have to see what will happen with the daily creature changes, but right now you can usually find it everywhere on its respective day.

Featured Creatures - Rare

Wednesday - Friday: Rares (30 attempts)

What to Dart

There are a LOT of rare dinos to choose from this time around! We'll go over where you can normally find all of them and then discuss what you should go for.

  • Arambourgiana - Incubator Exclusive
  • Dsungaripterus - Event Exclusive
  • Quetzalcoatlus - Local 2 (Day/Dawn/Dusk)
  • Tupandactylus - Daily Dino (Monday)
  • Scaphognathus - Local 4 (Night/Dawn/Dusk)

With the recent buff to Quetzorion that will hit in update 1.10 we know it will be tempting to go for Quetzalcoatlus. But, as you can see there are also 2 exclusive birds to choose from this week. It is always smart to go for the Exclusive DNA so Arambourgiana and/or Dsgungaripterus will be your best choice for the middle of the week.

Featured Creatures - Epic

Saturday - Sunday: Epics (9 attempts)

What to Dart

None of the epic birds featured this week can be targeted. Alanqa is incubator exclusive, Darwinopterus is a daily spawn on Saturday and can't be scented, and Pteranodon is park exclusive and scents still don't seem to be working for park creatures right now. While we say to usually go for the exclusive DNA, in this case, we believe Pteranadon is the smarter option. Its hybrid is very strong and park creatures are usually hard to come by.

Strike Events

We have 2 strike event themes this week. The Halloween themed dinos will be determined based on the survey they sent out a while back and we don't know what that is. The Asia theme is the following dinos.

Common: Dilophosaurus Gen 2, Tarbosaurus, Velociraptor, Monolophosaurus Gen 2

Rare: Tuojiangosaurus, Wuerhosaurus, Dsungaripterus

EpicErlikosaurus, Sinoceratops, Darwinopterus

There are = 2 epic strikes this week. There is a Indominius Rex Gen 2 themed strike on Friday, and an Asia themed strike on Sunday. We will keep you up to date with strike guides as those come out and we know the adversaries you will be facing!

Themed Scent & Boost Strike

There is a themed scent strike on Tuesday that we believe is a Medium Therapod scent, and it looks like there is a Health Boost Strike that you are not going to want to miss.  We are also expecting another themed scent in the store and we will update you as soon as that is live.

It also looks like the red treasure chase is back so we are excited to have the opportunity to get more coins,  All in all, it looks like a lot to look forward to this week.

In Conclusion

This is a pretty exciting week! We are looking forward to finding out what dinos are in the Halloween theme as we expect they will be the featured creatures during the week of Halloween (crossing our fingers for irritator). The surprise patch 1.10 will most likely drop this week as well so keep an eye out for that maintenance announcement! We will make sure to keep you updated on any other events or changes that we see and make sure to join our discussion on our discord!
